Much respect for actually playing the games you talk about for the month! Most content creators only talk about them (read: repeat what the game description already tells us)
Of course! I can’t get to every game on the lists I make but I was so glad this month I had the chance to try so many of them!
I absolutely love both Coffee Talk games and the soundtracks. I bought Minabo immediately, but haven't had a chance to play it yet
Leif in the background forever makes me happy 💜 also just grateful for your positive and lovely spirit!
I hadn't heard of melon journey and minabo until this video and they are now firmly on my wish list! I've loved Coffee Talk for a long time and can't wait to play the sequel, it was my first sort of visual novel style game and I realised how magical it can be.
Long video felt short - the depth of coverage was just right and the way you evaluate seems fair, I also appreciate being up front about potential bias. And most others on UA-cam aren't covering Steam Deck or some of the more niche/indie/cozy titles. For me, the main gaps I see in overall game coverage that affect me are honest reviews of what's new on a given game pass and how well indie games work on Steam Deck. It's surprising how often a game is just unverified and you find conflicting information in patch notes or discussions but you're definitely helping
I really appreciate that!! I worked extra hard on this one 🥰
I'm going to buy Mail Time when it's out on consoles 🥰
Me too I’m really hoping it comes to switch
@@lesliealfaro8656
Switch should be confirmed, but I'm hoping for Xbox release :3
@@lesliealfaro8656 should be on switch this summer according to the devs
I have been following Roots of Pacha for so long. I am so excited it's finally here and it's good!
Im so glad you reviewed coffee talk. I think I am going to get it. I love reading and to be active in my reading just sounds so cool!
charming reviews
I love that you add in how it runs on the steam deck. Thats mainly where I play so its super helpful! Thanks for the awesome reviews!
Loved the review of the games. Mail Time is so cute!
OK so I definitely need to play coffee talk 1 first. Really good to know. Thanks for this video Payy.
Very cool video, found it from a Tweet from the Roots of Pacha publisher I think. Some cool looking games for sure and really liked that you mentioned where you played each and if they ran well on Steam Deck or not.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts i also am really liking roots of patcha its refreshingly simple
Thanks for this. I hadn't heard about Tray Racers, but it looks like a great "loading game" to play in between other titles. Downloading now. Appreciate the info!
As an old school gamer I struggle playing 2d art style games. That’s all we had for so long lol. 😂 I want 3d
Coffee talk is such an amazing novel esc game, I absolutely loved playing it.
Fabeldom is so early access that there are plenty of bugs, and there’s not much to the game yet besides city building. But as the game grows I’m sure it’s gonna be great, the devs have me in a choke hold 💀
I accidentally finished Mail Time in less than an hour! I definitely plan to start over and just avoid Greg until I'm done with all of the other tasks lol
I really like this content! It really helps me to pick the game that suits me☺ keep it up!
Did anyone else hear EJ singing "balloon time" every time Payton said "mail time"? Hehehe.
my biggest con is for roots of pacha is when u get married and have kids u have to take care of the kid which is cool but ur literally a single parent because ur s/o will not do anything. you get a notification that ur baby is crying so u have to run back from wherever you are. other than that Im literally obsessed
Subscribed! Everything was very well done :)
I love roots of patcha. There's so much to do
Played Mail Time at Pax East. The devs are super nice, and were so excited about their game.
Mail Time is insane. You can really feel how much the team loved it just by playing
subscribed!! love you and your content!!!
Just discovered your videos and they are so chill and fun to watch! ❤ Sending some positive comment karma
Really like these videos where you’ve played the games and give us an overview on your thoughts. I’ve been playing a lot of Song Of The Prairie and I’m loving it on the stream deck, the translation is pretty bad I agree with that 😂 but a great game. Looking forward to trying Roots Of Pacha
What game was YOUR favorite of the month??
I think Roots of Pacha for the cute stone age aesthetic and lovely art style 🫶
Okay I’m my opinion…… I don’t have one there all good
So weird that the NPCs in Fabledom are the parents of Lucas
These cozy games are so cool❤
I’ve been loving roots of pacha, especially as I’ve been having farming game burnout this game has made me so excited to play again
I would DL Minabo & I know there supposed to be turnips in the game to me honestly though the characters look like walking tampons with Smiley faces though~ 🤣
I need minabo!!!
I love that game
Can confirm wildfrost is very hard, i finished slay the spire with all four characters and this is wayyyyyyy harder! its much more grindy than more traditional roguelike card games. but id rather this than too easy like roguebook i played like only a few hours because i was done in so little time!
All of them
roots of pacha supremacy!!!!
Great video. Also, what kind of mic are you using?
It's the blue yeti! my whole setup can be found on my Throne Storefront which is linked in the description!
Fantastic video! But I can't find Roots of Pacha in Steam. Am I missing something? I really want to play it after seeing your video!
Currently the developers and publishers of Roots of Pacha are having a dispute and the game has been removed from steam until they can solve their issue. Fingers crossed it’s back up on steam ASAP! It’s an awesome game!
would you say mail time would be bad for people prone to motion sickness? this game looks so lovely but i'm not sure if i could handle all that mushroom jumping and gliding. does the camera move on its own or can you control it? thanks :)
It’s probably a lot better with controller! But the settings can be changed too to help! I have a stream up on the channel if you want to get an idea of the gameplay footage too!
@Payton'sCorner oh I didn't even see that stream! thank you I'll give it a watch! ♡
Im sensitive to motion in games as well and as Pay said, changing the settings really helped.
@@izzywoods794 thank you guys so much ♡
Love that you’re always so vocal about gender locks and being locked out of certain outfits/gameplay for a gender choice. Hate when games do that, especially on a gameplay level!!
I was really looking forward to Fabledom... but when I went to Steam, it's not available in my region (South Korea)... :(
Oh no!! It’s just early access though perhaps it will be available upon full release!
Ur so lucky 🍀
I want a steam deck so bad
Did you play MailTime on the PC?
MailTime is currently only out for PC and Mac- So yes I played on PC!
im a little confused, i played Mail Time in multiple run throughs and had always the same Map but the Videos you showed were different? Why???
The footage I showed is right from the game trailer and all those areas are in the actual game- but if you played the demo the demo map was different!
@@PaytonsCorner ive played the full game multiple times not the Demo! The areas are the same but the layout from the trailer (i havent watched the trailer) is apperently different than the one in the full game if i understand you correctly?
@@sksjb246810121 I’m not quite sure what you mean- the footage in this video is from the official game trailer which includes real gameplay from the completed game. I also have a live stream playing the game in case you’re a bit confused about the footage it’s right on my channel!
@@PaytonsCorner The Clips of the conversation is from the game but at 37:05 Minutes for example, this layout is not in the final game Egbert isnt located at a river, so i was wondering if thats from the Demo. I played and completed the game multiple times and i have all badges but never got to talk to Irene about the bottlecaps for example as shown at 37:32 Minutes. What am I missing
I only played 1 is 2 on the switch?
The thing is I like reading. I can read a long story no problem but reading alot in games is a problem for me and I don’t know why. Please explain because I have no clue
Maybe because it’s in such short sentences? So instead of just reading a full page at a time it feels more tiresome to just read in such short pieces of dialogue? I tend to like it but I can understand why some people may not!
@@PaytonsCornerI would think reading a whole book would be more tiresome. Shorter sentences should be a breeze
Normally you're actually processing words ahead before you think of them so the way games often delay words on screen causes lots of delay. Additionally, the type of screen matters a ton, imagine a Kindle Paperwhite versus a computer screen, it's night and day, and still not the same as a printed page in good lighting
How do u get them to gift it to u lol
Am I the only one that thinks coffee talk is badly written on a dialogue level?
Agreed. But I also find that it never truly reaches its potential because nothing you do really matters. I could hardly call it a visual novel, given how my choices change nothing.
@@yonak4963 agreed. I was disappointed.
I definitely noticed my choices mattering way more in episode 2 but I enjoyed both! In episode 2 you can complete each characters story arc “bad” “normal” or “good” depending on the drinks you serve and also if you give them certain items! Definitely builds on the first one in my opinion!
I think coffee talk is a bore but I’m not fond of vn
What a boring game!!! Thankfully I started it on Xbox and it's free for game pass.
