This does battle the NIMBYs, yes.
I am so glad I moved out of Pasadena - ADUs are ghettoizing previously nice neighborhoods. Parked cars everywhere.
I cant imagine having people living in my backayard 😂 yall need to move out
Then don’t do it. 😂😂😂
Geez 🙄
@@harlock75 you will not be invited to live in my backyard 🤡
@@fabbz94 Evidently nobody will be living in your backyard. 😁
@@harlock75 true 😅
Some people have huge backyards they never use, and would be happy with the $30k/year rental income.
MAKES FOR CROWDED LOTS AND INVASION OF PRIVACY for other neighbors!!! Selfish and crappy idea!!
I like this idea becoming easier! I have land and want to put tiny houses on it for rental income
Put one in and up go your taxes 😅
Norcal is a joke at this point
I always thought the condo concept was stupid. You are still living in an apartment building with shared walls with other tenants(owners). So you own your apartment - you're still living in an apartment.
The ADU is just another stupid idea similar to the condo idiocy. Just keep cramming more and more people closer and closer together.
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
You can’t own it, you pay rent lol you don’t own anything
Yeah sounds so great until you meet your nightmare of your ADU neighbor on your backyard then you will see how greatest it became
people are being priced out
With ca squatters rights - that’s a lot of $/ effort just to give it all away, watch it depreciate
More adu,s less foreclosures which means are awesome government continues to collect property taxes
ADU renter stops paying, then you are screwed.
Later they will say" oh, its not safe cuz earthquake and wildfire" and move you out or charge you.
Wow that suck they going to mess up the property
All of san jose will soon look like Eastside San jose
Maybe that would bring housing prices down from outrageously expensive to just regular expensive.
It's simple. It's just another Gavin Scam. Don't fall for the trap.
Bad idea
Really bad
Why?
I'll pass. Don't want someone living in my backyard.
Yeppppp, which is why when I turn 55, I am moving (buying) my house in a lifestyle/resort GATED community!!!!! I am 51, I have a little ways to go!😁
Nothing to be proud of it’s shameful
There is a housing shortage in california. It is incredibly expensive to build. California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is the cause. We need de-regulation or the prices will never come down ever. We are prioritizing “the environment” over humans.
Great idea! Gonna love your Somalian and Haitian neighbors. Their such kind people. Like the broadcast says Portland OR has the most ADU's. It looks nothing like a de- militarized zone.
Lmao who cares? Isn’t America about free market capitalism? If the Haitian or Somalian is paying the highest price, it shouldn’t be of concern.
@MrLakers92 San jose is gonna love having 200 cars parked on the street and sidewalk. What a lovely neighborhood
What do you have against them? The Dude would not talk like that.
Just move out of blue California
that guy ryan is creepy
😂 lets reinvent the trailer park..
After decades of NIMBYS and Democrats making building impossible while encouraging population growth 😂
Why blame Democrats? #1 barrier to development in CA is CEQA. Which was passed in 1970 when Ronald Reagan was Gov and the majority of Californians voted GOP.
Yes, this does challenge NIMBYism.
@@scottcharney1091 Without any forethought. Undersized utilities, zero parking, outrageous fees/permits. Typical Democrat band-aid making things worse. Virtue signaling always.
@@andrewfisher8749 Has that happened elsewhere? ADUs are common in lots of places.
