    Everything looks amazing and I’m so glad you have figs 👍. It is a bit of a transition time in the garden with winter brassicas being the star ⭐️ of the show. Have an amazing week head, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦

      Hey Ali, thanks so much. You are right, the brassicas are the star of the show but somebody needs to tell the bell peppers and tomatoes that their time is over, they showing out now. I am patiently waiting to try one of them figs. Have a wonderful evening, hope your weather gets back to normal.

    Thanks for the reminder that I forgot to drop mustard seeds. I’m gonna put some out there tomorrow. I’m like you, I’m trying to grow as much as I can to keep from buying that food we don’t know what’s in it. I’m still holding on to my tomatoes, peppers and okra. But imma pull the okra and eggplant after I do my garden tour this week. Thanks for sharing Ursula, you got a lot done today! Happy gardening everyone!!

      Hey @SteffaniesJourney, thanks so much, glad to help be that reminder. Most definitely trying, it's getting scary with all the recalls, we don't know what is safe to consume anymore. Same plants here still producing, Okra can come out but peppers and tomatoes will produce until they stop, I won't stop them. Going over to check out your garden tour, enjoy your evening.

    Do you over winter your eggplants? I planted eggplant last summer and did not get anything, and the worms ate it. What I did was pull the plant and put it in a smaller pot, wrap the pot in plastic, put in my storage area. It came back and produced very well. I also grow in bags and pots. Always enjoy your content. Thanks!!!

      I need to try this over winter method. I would like to save an eggplant and two peppers. Last year I tried some peppers but they didn’t make it.

      Hey @judymccoy7602, thanks. I've never tried over-wintering eggplants but I did over-winter my jalapeno peppers and they did fantastic this year and still producing. I love growing in growbags except for them drying out so quickly. Thanks for the tip, enjoy your evening.

      @@harveycontainergardener332 Not all of my plants survived I did the eggplant, some peppers and flowers I put each one in a smaller pot, wrap the pot, and I have clear plastic totes I use for my greenhouses. I will be trying it again this year.

    Having a wheelbarrow is very handy when you need to pull those plants from the pots. It helps to keep your soil in 1 place and not spill on the ground etc

    Hi Ursula I am glad for you about the fig tree. It is looking great. I have a question for you what do you fertilize it with? I have a young tree and the leaves are turning brown but the tree have a few figs and they are still green. Any suggestions will be appreciated. ❤😊

    • @harveycontainergardener332
      @harveycontainergardener332  2 місяці тому

      Hey @JackieJenkins-d2I, thanks so much. Mines was doing the same thing, red spots on leaves then turning brown with green figs. I removed all the leaves that were affected, added an all-purpose fertilizer and added compost to the top. Watered it in and so far the leaves are still green and now getting some figs ripening up. I hope this helps for you as well.
