Hyundai car stereo system installation make over

- Today we had a full car stereo system redo. Customer had his friend do his stereo install and was having some problems with it. He had noise, popping and the amps were cutting off. We only service our installs so he decided to have us start over for him. Out all the old and in with the new and this is how it went.

the stuff that's happening on this channel is what I miss from Steve meades channel.
Jonathan Metts thank you
Five Star Car Stereo you guys do great work this is awesome. thanks for the vid
I think he seen this comment lol. He has a couple videos up like this again since then.
namcost but he's not a car audio install shop most of his work is for his own cars
simple install but done the cleanest. goes to show work with what you got is awsome
indopleaser thank you
I love how you point out the wrong on stereo amps installation here. When I first started doing stereo installations, I did many wrong things but learned better after many years of practicing. If I had people like you to point out the wrong and right while starting off, that would have been a good experience for me. Nowadays watching your video's are great and watching how some people don't take the time to research and do a poor job that you clean up is AWSOME. It is like some do a C grade to a fail and you guys come in and do a A+ work! LOVE IT! (Also want to mention zip ties are great when wires are too long)
I seriously love watching you make amp boards.
Love the attention to detail. It's great to see people who take pride in their work and do things the RIGHT way. Keep up the great work guys.
I've been a professional installer for over 20 years and i have never thought to tin the power wire when a ferrule won't fit.
Same here. Great tip to add to the installers knowledge bank.
That was a genuinely useful and good tip👍
Do you or anyone know if I should use lead-free solder or not?
That should not matter.
I just seen the tin aswell....im TAKING THAT with me now....thx DEAN!!!!
It's a satisfying feeling seeing these two gentlemen doing these installations and rescues
What i think is incredible, is that I've been a professional installer for 15 years and ive never seen anybody install and amp from the trunk forward. It so backwards but it makes for a much cleaner amp appearance. Im going to try this. As always, great work guys. Innovation and professionalism. The double whammy.
I see that Wawa coffee there gentlemen......You guys are way cooler than I percieved. Industry Leaders right here
I like the way you answer viewers questions most you tubers don't. Keep up the good work
Installation is a combination of skill and art. take a little more time and you will end up with a better finish. good job guys, installers who care
Jaymar Ganal yes we do care, thank you.
hey guys i have a 4 channel skar audio amp whats a good aftermarket radio that has front and rear rca outputs because my headunit only has sub out rca
It's so peaceful watching you guys wire amps. My next build will have to mimic your type of wiring management!
Jovin Flores sweet thank you.
Been watching your vids like a junkie since I seen yall on the TUBE..... truly some of the cleanest work I've seen. You are the standard. BAR SET.... thanks for showing what techs deal with and the beauty of what we do.... God bless
Christopher Hall thank you very much, glad you enjoyed them. Are you a tech?
You all did your thang on that clean hidden and A1. Wish there was more installers like you all that care as much you all do 💯
Y'all make it look effortless. I really enjoy your guy's videos
Thank you
Talk about the neatest installation I’ve seen …..👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾🔥🔥🔥
Wow remind me of few years ago when I try to install my audio. Great to see you run wires and everything is neatly done. I wish everyshop install with care and detail like you guys.
Wow very clever soldering the end wires to stick it into the amp. I have to do that, my 4 channel amp does not have an option for any end terminals. Thanks for that, I would've never thought of it.
I would bring my car at anytime for you guys to audio installations! Nice to see how you make installation with skill and proud.
the amp racks and detail in the wiring is amazing
I love the 911 Rescues !!!!! Wish there were more ... it gives Great evidence that Not everyone has What it takes to Do an Install Properly, whether it’s a ( my Friend hooked me Up ) , ( these ppl charged me Less ) type of Installation!!! It’s an Excellent learning curve and Eye opener to the World
You take pride in your work without being rude or gloating
Wow, that is very impressive. A very clean job which really showed me your expertise and care for your work. I wish I was in Florida!!!!
Very clean work . I need that done on my 2001 tahoe . The stero shop i went to did a very shady job on my system. Ready to go have it done professionally
This is my very favorite video. I can watch it over and over again. Man, I just love it. I've seen it many times and I don't have enough of it☺
Thanks Guys! Good job!
+Filip A thank you as always. 😀
Fernando dropping the mic at the end. Very cool
Man somebody did a lazy install there good thing these guys fix that up
All that work and not throw a double din in I like the set up forsure really clean
I never heard of putting solder on the end of the wire that goes in the amp Put very helpful tip thank you
I am enjoying this channel. I love to learn about audio. I install my audio myself but sometimes i let the professionals come in
I Really enjoy watching this install 911 videos.. I learn so much and you guys do an amazing job.... I learn a tone
Thanks for posting your install videos, learning a lot from them!! Keep it up and I'll keep watching
Mitch Bennett thank you
I'm hooked you guys make fun n the time laps is at a perfect speed I can still see what's going on very Kool
Really good video guys, I love the attention to detail! Continue with the amazing work you all are doing.
+Theron Matthew thank you
that trick with the drill to roll the wires i do that too is bad ass
yohoolover1 yes it is:)
Very, very clean install on all cables and nice ideas to make it fit the best of each car!.
alexander hedblom thank you very much
wy :)
Great video, great work! That amp board is a thing of beauty!
sure the install was pricey but I bet the customer was happy as hell to see the professionalism put forth
Jerry Nierzejewski I hope so, you just never know though.
Friends don't let friends do car audio installs. I've redone a lot of builds for people that say their friends installed it. The nightmares I've seen. Nice work
first time I saw that soldering trick
....tinning a wire?
HAHA yes that is what he meant but not in the manner that they used it as a lug.
so neat and tidy..keep up the good work guys
Nadeem Malik thank you
Installation perfection at it's best! 👍Only problem I saw was at 8 minutes 48 seconds - when the owner will need to replace the stock air filter the custom fuse holder might be in the way to allow an easy replacement for client.
I love watching the installs you guys do, I've said it before and I'll say it again - You guys do perfect car audio installations!! Very nice, keep it up!! 😉
As a former high end installer, I think that the original installer should have been tarred and feathered for that install and you had every right to call him ( or them ) out on it. Wire nuts????? REALLY?? Excellent workmanship by the way. Brings back fond memories of my days in this business.
hahaha My coworkers and I call that the "homeboy special"
firebirdude2 sounds about right
great!!!! I need someone like you guys here in Mexico :(
Alan Lara thank you
From experience, that little Alpine amp is a beast. I have one in my car an have put several in others and every one gets loud and stays clean.
Love your videos. This motivated me to clean up the install on my car!
Like the wire runs! And the tin on the wire is an excellent ideal!
+Poppa T thank you, it works great
Great vid. You guys should make this a sub-series with a consistent naming convention. Hope to see more!
Would love a bit more explanation with what you guys are doing, esp with the custom bits like with the battery, did you replace the sub etc.
nchia thank you. We are working on more and also more one subject videos.
That is some excellent cable management.
Great work I wish we had good installers in my area all we have are crappy installers that want to take your money that sucks keep up the good work guys
gilbert reyna thank you. There does seem to be a lot of them.
That stereo needs to go ASAP!!!
Beautiful work , love the use of Tesa tape

Alex Vecchies Hi up there and thank you.
You guys do great work wish all shops did
your guys wiring is on point!
Eric Highfill thank you very much
You guys really inspire me. You do the cleanest installs I've ever seen. I just wished y'all was closer because my 2018 Silverado would be in your shop.
First time I've seen this video, using an SMD DD, NICE!!
I love how this channel shows the back end of car audio customers don't know about, and all the less-than-ideal scenarios many of the other channels don't show.
And y'all are entertaining as hell LOL
Keep up the good work!
Pretty sweet install!
I actually enjoyed watching this video...Thx guys.
That's how much I love car audio
Man, I wish y'all were closer to Atlanta!
9:11 - Five Star's benchmark to all other car fabricators out there
i love taking the time to do it right! Good job.
+A Ja thank you
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!simply amazing that job cleaning !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video guys. You sure fixed that install up.
+Brian Miles thank you, that is what we do.
clean installation really perfect more thumps up
The background music is awful.....but the video was great
Your spelling is awful. Ironic isn't it?
love the video, but as an amateurs amateur that’s looking to do my own sound system i would have preferred a bit more of a tutorial, won’t let that stop me from watching though...keep up the great work 👍
Check out some of the newer videos. We go more in-depth
You. a true professional installer
Every job should be done your standards
Great work
A bit of plan and preparation goes a long way
Very professional install nice job.
What happened to the capacitor
Another great video, I noticed the cap wasn't put back so I'm guessing it wasn't needed. I also wonder if that "buddy" is still his buddy lol
jmaslin friends till the end! No the cap was dead, it had shorted out. Surprising I know.
LOVE these videos. Reminds me of the old pimp my ride shows, but way more detail!
Casey Friday I think these guys do better quality work
Yeah, that's the sentiment I was trying to get across. :)
+bondovwvw thank you
+Casey Friday I loved that show, always made me laugh, thank you

EXCELLENT TEAM WORK.PATIENT SAFE💯👍
Nice video we need more 911 videos' i like to see how otjer people think they can do an car audio install but they mess it up, you gus have to redo everything the right way and real lk y professional.
wish I could find a good honest shop like you guys out here in California without having to drive 80 miles to Steve Mead's shop or 50 miles to sonic electronix lol
dank9288639 was just in California visiting the Mouse, love your weather
Five Star Car Stereo haha it is nice I must say. funny tho as you speak of the weather its scheduled to rain all weekend ahaha
dank9288639 what does that happen twice a year. Funny
May I ask why you ran 2 power cables? And why not one power cable to a distribution block?
Excellent work!!!
2 power cables ensures that you get the max power directly from the battery to both amplifiers
You guys are freaking good
👏🏼👍🏼😉
Great Job guys. Very clean and professional.
I want to do an install of speakers and tweeters and sub and amp on my 2017 sonata sport. Any tips
I'm about to do some upgrades to my system. Sound deadener is a must but that will be soon. My Pioneer 6.5s and 6x9s are alrite but I'm gonna buy Rockford Fosgate. When my current subs get blown I'll buy new ones like Sundowns or Rockford Fosgate.
that noise from the woofer sounds like the spider has come loose and if so that's actually a pretty easy fix.
gettin a 5 channel helps take out the other amp and helps with how much pullin from battery
That hifonics should be using 0 gauge wire if running at 1 ohm judging by the 2 giant maxi fuses! That could be a 2500w rms amp aka brx 3016. 250amps thru 4 awg could be a problem!
Yeah, meades rich now. I agree. Ill call e40 have him handle that for us!
Great install. The headcam is dizzying as all hell though.
sweet! love watching these vids! keep em coming guys, and great clean install as usual!
dank9288639 thank you, will do.
Wow nice work guys super clean
I actually use wire nuts instead of crimpers because #1. I can’t solder worth crap, and #2. Crimpers have disconnected on me before. Wire nuts have always worked.
Good work! I've been following you guys on instagram for a while now, super clean installs!
Brett Mulvaney very cool, thank you.
Awesome wire management
michael nestved thank you
wow u guys work super fast
tony187sound proof don't blink😄
hate those angled inputs on the hifonics also that amp is sharp as hell cut my finger on it. other than that a fresh and clean reinstall. good work!
akuma4u I'm with you, I despise those inputs. Thanks
