Saw Cradle on this last US tour for Cruelty when I was in San Diego but missed about 40 minutes of their show. Got to see the tail end of Bathory Aria and all of Hallowed be thy Name. Fortunately they played an extended set with stuff from the new album and got to see all of that. They were great, just as good as the few times I saw them in the early 2000’s if not sounding better!
Dying fetus and suffocation arent considered slam but are considered a couple of the main influences for slam, especially effigy of the forgotten, IMO slam tends to be way too oot and just brutal for the sake of it but there are some hidden gems. An album i quite enjoy is the album Megalodon by Guttural Slug. Newest cradle album i thought was at least respectable but nothing will top The principle of evil made flesh imo.
Dying Fetus is an American death metal band originally from Greater Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Formed in 1991, the group is known for their consistently hook-laden song structures, characterized by blast beats, complex riffing, slam riffs and heavy breakdowns.
Oh dude you should certainly react to baby metal, you’d cringe so hard your neck would snap. Hammer of the witches is a later cradle record that’s awesome, scope it out. When I say slam I think Viceral disgorge, cerebral incubation, nephrectomy, etc. I remember reaper gave you some blind guardian Albums to listen to. What did you think of them?
I seen that punk rock MBA guy try to say that metal is all about imagery because metal fans like baby metal and poppy. Personally, I think that shit is an embarrassment to real metal. And this comes from someone that does like a few JPop/JRock bands. The Pillows, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant and Do As Infinity. Found them through Anime and Japanese films.
What other goregrind bands do you enjoy? Have you heard of Viscera Infest ? Some of the most over the top Goregrind. I even consider them better than Last Days of Humanity. Also, if you a fan of Molesting the decapitated, I recommend you checking out Epicardiectomy promo 2010 and their side from a split they did back in 2010 called “Goresoaked Slammassacre” I have never heard anything more heavy than that in my humble opinion. Also, you got to check out Deep Red - The Crime if you want to hear suffocation’s effigy of the forgotten on crack.
I think in the sign of evil is my favorite from Sodom. Really the only Sodom release I like. Also I'd have to agree with you on entombed Left Hand Path is the only thing I like.
Short term memory gets weaker with age and that's normal. It's when the long term memory goes that you need to see the doc. With the amount of old metal you remember you should be all good.
Baby Metal is a Japanese band made up of 3 young girls singing pop music with a metal band backing them up. It's just straight cringe. Oh, and Rob Halford toured with them or something...
Question: Have you come across these guys online that call actual metalheads elitist gatekeepers because we don't consider everything with a distorted guitar to be real metal? OLD MAN RANT: Back when I was a kid you got beat up for being a fucking poser.
@@paulhetrick1759 it's weird because nobody is telling then they Cant listen to that shit. It just doesn't sound like metal to pretty much any die hard metalhead. The shit they call metal nowadays sounds like pop rock to me.

1349 was the year the Black Plague came to Norway.
1349 is the year the black plague reached Norway if I'm not mistaken.

Can't go wrong with Dusk & Cruelty, they're masterpiece. Never into CoB thou.
Triptykon is the name of Tom G Warrior's current band.
I actually really like Children of Bodom. But it makes sense given I tend to like power/folk metal, like Dragonforce, Fintroll, Verikalpa, etc.
I rank Clandestine in my top 5 albums of all time.
I actually like Cold lake by Celtic Frost it's called this is of a project Triptykon
