I'm still holding onto hope that in the right hands, mirage will play nicely. I know it's not going to be what I truly want but I'm still super excited to get my hands on it
oh it will be effortless alright lol, nah fr the parkour looks servicable, i personally enjoyed origins and i think thats the general opinion on that game for its story and writing and mirage has world building and faster parkour to compound on those 2 things they did so well in origins! 🤞🤞🤞
I think the team wanted to be a true assassin's creed experience, but the engine from valhalla are holding them back. And as far as i know they don't really have the time to innovate it due to time pressure. But I'm glad that they are at least trying their best to fit a parkour system to a trash engine.
Its not gonna happen, I wish I am wrong. AC been my favorite franchise. I started playing on AC3 Release and have every title. It pains me to say the game I originally failed in love with is likely never coming back
Yep the OG games let you animation cancel whenever you wanted. AC3 to Rogue area only let you at the very beginning of the wall run or after the clamber/climb animation had completed. Why they made this change makes absolutely zero sense to me.
I remember playing my first ever AC game which was bloodline on the psp as a kid. Seems like all the good AC games are the old ones :(. Man nostalgia is a killer
0:51 Ok really clever trick taking advantage of the distance a dive can cover (and Venice's layered parkour objects) to transition from one building to another and continue the parkour.
You can do something similar by air assassination trick. Ezio will perform a usually long and higher just from a ledge if you air assassinate the right target. It's complicated to explain over text maybe I'll make a video
I love how you use ejects where they make sense, mostly for quick height gain to reach higher/longer, rather than other choreographers who just pepper them liberally around wnere regular jumps are faster, as if more = better.
Overusing ejects is a trap pretty much everyone (myself included) falls into early on. Once you actually get good you realize they're better used only when necessary. Makes them much more meaningful
"9/10 Assassins recommend this technique" Seriously tho this is a really cool way to take advantage of some of the slight jank that AC2 has. I found you could also do this by pressing legs while jumping down to a non-standing object at an angle but it doesn't cover the same distance unfortunately :(
This is what people actually mean by old assassin's creed. An intricate and manual parkor system that gives the player autonomy over their movement. BOTW climbing isn't enough.
Npc : lacotre look look the jumping demon! Npc : he must be late and shee must be beautiful! Templar: what sorcery is this Ezio: not sorcery boy Skill.😂
The only reason mirage is worth playing to me is the setting and the very professional Arabic dub since I’m learning Arabic If it weren’t for that I would just be playing ac 1 and the Ezio trilogy on the weekends right now because it doesn’t get better than that I have no idea to what extent this is nostalgia but I know it’s in large part the insane detail put into the atmosphere and cities What I wouldn’t give to experience playing these games for the first time again as a child whose dopamine receptors hadn’t been destroyed and who wasn’t so familiar with video game logic
And when read that best parkour is in Unity (to most 1st, or after multiplayer time) either doesn't have skills or imagination. In EVERY (almost) have beautiful areas to move across running, hiding or just fooling around 😏
Absolutely, they are the best of the best in my opinion. You can get all 3 of the ezio games in a bundle that's pretty reasonably priced on all platforms including switch, I own it twice haha
That ain‘t a hard pill, that‘s simply the truth. I‘ll take a more mechanical system that allows player freedom/creativity/expression everyday over a shallow system with fancy animations. Old AC parkour was fire

Gotta keep that part of the HUD on. For flexing purposes.

Surprised that worked, sometimes Ezio will just ragdoll if he collides with something during a dive.
Yo this is the best AC 2 Parkour I've ever seen on the internet

Ubisoft actually need to hire you to do some parkour gameplay for AC mirage😂
That would be awesome. Tell them that for me.
I love how after watching enough creators making parkour videos you get a feel for each one’s style

Ezio moving around with the Elegance of an Eagle.
