I saw them in LA about 2018. They opened for the great Jim James. The whole situation was mind blowing.
Claypool has a band called "Oysterhead" too. It's a little further "out there", but offers up some interesting moments.

Holy fucking shit this band is exactly what I needed in my life - this one in particular sounds like John Lennon collabed with Pink Floyd or some shit - he really sounds just like his dad! And those spacey visuals just make it that much more epic. 10/10, thank God for random UA-cam recommendations.

Probably one of the best Claypool Lennon songs I've heard. That breakdown in the middle was epic, and these chord progressions/vocal melodies are awesome.

I am so glad they got together. Their instruments blend together and the music is so full and eclectic . Lennons voice is like a silk and he can play the guitar. Then les Claypool with his voice and base! Can it get better!?💝Thank you with all my heart.

You can't really compare Sean's work with John's. Writing quality catchy pop songs is not necessarily easier than fancy art music.
@@beback_ Beatles did some great fancy art music as well. In fact, they were the pioneers of bringing that kind of thing into the mainstream as early as 1966. Hard to conceive of the quantum leap between “she loves you” and “tomorrow never knows” in just 3 years.

This is one of those songs that when you first hear, you're a little put off.. dark lyrics... spooky. But after the 2nd or 3rd playing, you realize how EPIC this is!!!!!

This is one of the tastiest new recordings I have heard in a while... I'm FLOORED. Given that I don't hear new music that blows me away nearly as often as I used to (and believe me, I recognize that there's ALWAYS some good music lurking about somewhere, although it sometimes requires a lot more effort to find as radio stations have unfortunately become more narrowly, rigidly "formatted" with their playlists, and less adventurous) I am glad to come across this.
Same thought I have. The only new band's music I really enjoy these days. So fresh and exciting, nothing else compares to these guys. Well, there's always Steven Wilson with great LPs but he's not formed a new band.

Man , I've met this band last weekend and it is already one of my favorites , for real those musics are full of soul and the psychedelic elements feel as they were brought right back from the 60's/early 70's
