That’s the power of blues. There’s an old joke that if you play jazz, you play a thousand chords for three people, and if you play blues, you play three chords for a thousand people.
Don’t ever forget this man did this. No edits and slick angle changes that hide overdubs. Stood there, one take, good notes and the bad notes, delivered all on a plate raw.
It's wild that Stanley wasn't as well known as some of the other greats. He played guitar like one plays a piano. Simply brilliant. Also, for any guitar guys wandering which brand that is with the "V" on the headstock, it's a Vigier, which, sadly are no longer in production.
Saw Stanley twice in the 90's, both shows were amazing! This man has been the best taping guitarist since he came on the scene and he's still amazing. It's even more amazing that he seldom gets any press from the guitar media! Apparently mainstream guitar media is too heavily invested rock and metal to even consider a one of a kind jazz guitar virtuoso.
You possibly don't understand music and how complex, fragile, simple, and beautiful it can be. It's math, it's a roller coaster of emotions and feelings. Don't listen with your ears only, but listen with your heart, mind, and soul. May your door to understanding be opened and that you receive what is meant for you.
A lot of noise my A$$ i bet you wish you could play like Mr Jordan. Sound like to me, you are jealus. Now if you are a white guy and saw a white guy playing this he would be the best guitar player in the world.
@i-tiyahman6519 I know there's no white boys on stage, so skin color is all you have left to rate because all I seen and heard was some highly skill top notch grade A top of the game musicians.
