UA-cam getting comfortable with double adds
I agree, it's gotten worse and worse over the years and it's becoming more obvious that UA-cam needs competition
😂🤘🏽
Also getting longer - some can't be down-thumbed and last over a minute. I simply decide what I want to watch and then grab it with a downloader (I use 4K Video Downloader) . . . . no ads and I can delete once I've watched. And as for that long-haired git who keeps pushing his damn course at you !!!!!
UA-cam in 2021- let’s start giving them 3 minute unskipable ads and about 5 at a time
Me reading this now- Damn, we used to have it easy
@@carsonbrown1363 When I find anything I want to watch by those I follow, I right click, copy link address, download them, watch and then delete - that way there are no ads. I do the same for anything 'recommended' which looks interesting. It doesn't stop me doing whatever else I want to do on the computer - I just leave the downloader to do its stuff and then watch.
Great video. Side by side comparison playing the same progressions is really helpful. Plus the comprehensive review of features. Great job. Thanks
I really appreciated this video very much! Thanks a lot for the heart you put into it. I love the sound of the GS mini.
Now that's the way you properly compare a group of guitars. Brilliant!!
Came here looking for travel-size guitars ended up learning a lot of cool tunes!!
I may call a BT2 my own and it's a lovely travel guitar. Small, lightweight and offers great tone for its small size. Also very easy to play. I prefer to use custom light phosphor bronze strings by Elixir. It's also great for practicing when you're specifially looking for a guitar that is not as loud as a full size.
Oh and you really got me at banana pancakes!
For affordability playability and sound I fell in love with a Segal Excursion love It.
this was a really good review, I especially like the tone comparison at the end. Gs mini or Martin Lx 1 for me. Thanks for all the work that went into this!
Wow, this is such a great video - thanks! Assuming they're all strung with the same strings, the Taylor GS Mini comes first, with the Yam APXT2 a very close second...thanks!
Great playing! This makes me want to start playing an acoustic.
I go for the Martin, I bought the electrocoustic version and I love it. I also have the Martin koa lxk2 it’s a good mini guitar too.
I own the Yamaha APXT2. As purely acoustic guitar most of these beat it for sound, however, it shines when you plug it in. It actually has the same pickups as it's big brother APX500. It's fine for playing at home and brilliant to take with you busking, which was my purpose in buying. UA-cam has a few seasoned buskers floating about that use this guitar. The action is great too, easy to play leads if you're pressed into doing that at gigs.
killer review. the comparison's at the end nailed it
Outstanding review and playing. For size / sound combo, I'd go with the Martin.
Refreshing to hear some radiohead in a guitar review! Agree the vs mini has the best sound but still not small enough for a travel guitar so I'd have to go with the bt2, sounds a tad brighter than the lx1 to my ears
Great show and able demo. Lovely realistic sound comparison.
For me the BT2 fits best, because of it's very handy format and the great mellow sound coming out of that little thing...
I'm listening on my phone.. the Martin and Eastcoast are the best with this device.
Great video!
GS Mini first, but it's unfair ;-) the Eastcost is the surprising second best for me. Then LX1, Baby taylor and the Yamaha.
Thanks for the test.
Jérémie from French riviera (so see you soon with your travel guitar, playing in front of the "baie des anges")
Awesome review - thanks.
A very thorough and fair review. I wish all reviews of everything were like this. I like the Taylor the best but because you play so well, I suspect you can get a great sound out of anything.
Great demo and information i liked the Martin but I appreciated that you played everything from bar chords to finger style and some pretty intense strumming on each and then did the sound comparison at the
end 👍
I would love to see a comparison of the Martin dread nought 1 ,2, the LX 1 and E and the Street masters as I’ve decided on a Martin because of the sweet warm tones but now I want a smaller guitar and but can’t decide is the difference between the street masters 00015 size which I absolutely love the sound of but because of physical issues maybe need to go smaller so some side by side comparisons would be Awesome
I also Love the look of the retro street master but it doesn’t come with Electric option or the cutaway and the one that does again goes up in body size again ? A Martin Demo would be really helpful as I love the size of the Taylor but don’t care for the brightness in sound it’s great for ppl who love the brightness and everything I researched told me Taylor mini GS E was what I was looking for and then when I got one in my hands I loved the feel but not the sound ....
Nice review and performance!! GS mini is so perfect as a travel guitar. Small size but overwhelming big sound offered, and cool looking. I have already owned one, but wanna another tonewood one seriously.
Yamaha APXT2 is too small size for me to hold and play. The tone is like synthetic, a sort of plastic.
Well, I'd go for the Little Martin! Whole, rich and warm sound in small body! Btw who's watching in 2020? Hehe
little martins are cheap plastic overpriced toys.
you can get a decent Yamaha FS800, 820, etc for half the price and get the same quality--or better.
taylor and martin are WAY overpriced. you're paying for a brand name.
better off saving up the extra $800 and getting an authentic Cole Clark. handmade in Australian from sustainably sourced native Australian woods. each one is an individual.
my two cents.
@@roflmows The Cole Clark is fucking ugly xD
I want my guitar to look good as well, not only sound good
And wtf, the guitars you listed aren’t travel guitars
Nobody cares what you think Rolf Harris but I get what you’re saying about the Cole Clarke after hearing legends like Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash record so many epic songs on them. 🤣
Superb video. Very professional and informative review. Much enjoyed. Thanks.
Idk why but I'm really feeling the Yamaha.
Me too, the sound, the bent and the electronics
Oi
Is that you Drew?
Idk the Eastwood was looking crispy
Excellent demo ,thanks for that .
I own the GS mini walnut, but I really liked the sound of the Yamaha :3
You are insane Sam. Love your reviews!!
Thanks for the guide!
Awesome review!!!
i just want a travel size to sit comfortably ouside my house and sing edgy songs
Lol same 😂😂
SX Valencia VC350 Traveler Guitar Small Size classic Guitar with 52 mm with nut. itis classical guitar with nylon strings. sounds great is comfortable and small. and costs little. about 100 USD around. this is in all perfect and with the tone as good asmore expensive guitar . however you must like nylon. if you like steel strings then the with nut is smaller. and maybe a bit unconfterable. i find now this guitar is best for me also in view the price. sound and big with nut.
Absolutely man !
Great presentation and good information; Subscribed.
Super review. I am hesitating between taylor gs mini and little martin...
excelente video!!
creo que me inclino por martin lx, saludos!!
Great review. Thank You :-)
Or if your here in spring 2020 you can expect: quarantine and being stuck inside for months on end
Hehe😀😀
I was looking for a travel guitar that I can use on stage in my oldie / country band as well. I tested the Yamaha, the Martin and the Sigma TME ... and bought the Sigma ... which is a daughter of Martin Guitars ... for 199.- EURO in Germany. For me and my band colleagues the best choice and the best price..
GS mini sounds pretty good but...the Martin LX1e comes with the built in tuner and Fishman pickup. The little Martin sounds great through a PA. I have travelled with my LX1e a lot. Most airlines let me carry on and put it in the overhead on plane. The GS mini is too big and they might make you check it in to cargo. It will get broken. They are getting very picky about size. Cheers! I have a dozen nice guitars and oddly I seem to play Little Martin more then any of them. Nice to practice with while watching TV. Drives my family nuts. Lol
I love it when meh fam watching TV and I practice in the living room🤣 pisses the crap outta them
Really, between Taylor and Martin, the comparible sizes are the Baby Taylor and the Martin lx1
@@sherrybirchall8677 hands down Little Martin over Baby Taylor.
@@sherrybirchall8677 Taylor GS Mini is way better than a baby Taylor.
Im in love with the east coast i want one
Will it be possible for you to make a comparison video between two travel guitars?
I am curious about your impressions recommendations and opinions on these two guitars that are there?
Journey Instruments OF-310
Furch LJ-10 Little Jane
I just received the Yamaha APXT2 that I bought at auction as used. AMAZING! It has all the original paperwork, tool and best of all... scratches, dings and dents are literally no where to be found. Yes, new for a used $10.00 price that includes shipping. The guitar sounds much better than I expected and much better than the video. It has a surprising full sound for its size (unplugged) and sounds better than other travelers including my previous fav, an olde Ibanez Daytripper. My only criticm... the gig bag is cheap and too thin for real travel. Yamaha should have bumped the price a bit so the gig back would be worthy of the guitar.I'm hoping this Yamaha will fit in the excellent giog bag I bought for my Daytripper.
$10.00 typo explained above.
Taylor GS mini has the best sound by far. I have one and love it minus the narrow neck. I’ll prob sell it and find something else. Comfort is a must. Nice review. Thanks!
ANNA K , alvarez LJ2 is identical to gs mini but has a 45 mm nut
A song that you've played on Bt2 sounds like "Novo" from "Leonardo Gonçalves" a brazilian gospel singer
I'm from Brazil and love your videos, sorrt if i wrote something wrong lol
Hey, great channel!
👍 thanks. great presentation .
excellent vid!
Baby Taylor sounds the same in acoustic and in the pickup...!! That's dope...!!
Best guitar comparison video ever
My current goto guitar is a Cort Mini O.P. I'm surprised you didn't include any of the Cort mini's or Guitarlele's. Out of the bunch you have here, to give me a different sound and more flexibility I would go for the Yamaha.
Guys, check out the Martin Dreadnought Junior! The best travel guitar in my opinion!
Better than the rest; but still behind the GS Mini
GS MINI hands down!
AWESOME!!!
i have my eyes on apxt2 and jr2s, which one should i buy if im your 'walk-in' customer? for now i'll stick with acoustic sound and wont play it with an amp, but for longshot maybe i will. thanks
Nice vidéo !! thanks. What is the song played at the end with the 5 guitars. The very last one (with the slides..). I know this tune of course but don't remember the name..
Is the gs mini taylor, the first guitar is in size 36?
Taylor GS mini ..killed it
great video my friend. what about a mini or the smallest cutaway? which do u recommend?
Excellent tonal comparison (assuming all recordings being equal). 100% agree with
jérémie Ozog's ranking.
The GS Mini is hands-down the winner. Anyone saying otherwise needs to get new speakers or their hearing checked.
My head needs exam then cos th Yami is the best by far ...when plugged in it trashes everything else
I want to buy a travel guitar but not because i'm actually travelling, but because i'm pretty small lol currently i have a dreadnought and it's too big for me tbh
Me too it seems like I'm going to have to buy a travel I'm too small to even be able to have an acoustic fit around me
same
Small guitar?
Just buy a ukulele
@laikasduma - so far the yamaha jr2 or jr2s, the martin lx1, east coast asy seem to be the best ones so far regarding sound and especially price range in my opinion. I just got a jr2 which is pretty decent and will save up for a better travel guitar later. Just giving my opinion anyway.
Or buy a 00
The CORT Earth mini is missing why? Amazing instrument
the gs mini, hands down. the lx1 second and BT2 third...to my ear. NONE are Swiss cheese, though. I'd be happy to travel with any.
Like your channel, good review videos, very helpful. Thank you!
Sorry but you missed out the best travel guitar, the takamine taka-mini. Brilliant little guitar with the best pickup in the world.
Not interested in any of these guitars, just watching this dude play to break it down, thanks for the lesson man!
Sounds like a Jack Johnson diddly Frederic, but I'm not sure the name if it is. As for the guitars, I would have to go with either of the Taylors (GS or BT2), or maybe the Martin LX1 which sounded pretty nice. I'd choose the Taylor GS or Martin LX1 for strumming, and the East coast or Martin for finger picking. The Yamahas sound too hollow without bass and too twangy.
Great demos as always BUT SICK TO THE BACK TEETH WITH INTERRUPTIONS BY TONY POLECASTRO'S ADS FLOGGING HIS COURSES. I skip them the instant the button appears.
Excellent idea to run those seamlessly segwayed tonal comparisons at the end. Top marks for that. Surprised at how well ther BT2 came through. I have a GS MIni (Walnut) which has never delivered the kinds of tone that I like. Will watch this upload again (despite the TP interruption!!!) to check out those alternatives. Many thanks.
cheers geezer!
Can you pls list all the songs you played? Thanks!!
Great...I "m gonna get that Taylor Baby,,,,
Baby taylor sounds the sweetest to my ears!
Isaiah Harding I agree. It seems to me to be the fullest sound acoustic
Tried them all. Bought several. Side-by-side, the Taylor GS Mini is head and shoulders above the Baby or the Big Baby. Got rid of my Ibanez, Martin, and other travel guitars. Now only have a Lap Axe and a GS Mini. There are a LOT of reviews that also put the GS Mini at the top of the pile (actually, this one does also).
and best looking too
Wich is the most cheap??
I would like a twelve strings travel acoustic guitar.
I have the baby Taylor with an LR baggs I beam active Pickup. I’ve had this guitar for about 20 years. It is beat to hell. And it always stays in tune. I actually have a new one that’s barely been played. Because I like the old one because I cannot get around and not worry about it. The best thing about it. If you can unscrew the neck from the body. Stuff it in a suitcase. Back in the day it didn’t really matter. Because you can throw it on the plane. But now everything’s always costing money on luggage As of 2021.. I had the Yamaha APXT2 for about a year. It sounds wonderful. Baby Taylor is more personal. It rings a bit better for some reason. Trust me. I played over 1 million songs on this baby Taylor guitar. Throw 11’s on there. 12s are too heavy .and 10s Are too lite. You can also shim the neck. With some paper. To get it just right, The GS mini. Sounds phenomenal. But I do not consider that a travel guitar. Too big ,,,To me a travel guitar is something you have on your back. You don’t even know it’s there.
I have my Taylor BT-2, with a Fischman Infinity Matrix pick up system installed, and I travel with a Mini Vox ACRhythm. WONDERFUL! I rather have my own FISCHMAN, than the standard Taylor pre-amp.
I also ordered a pickguard from Taylor, which is a good thing to add on to your baby.
And your guitar body stays solid
I travel a lot, and this is the perfect size for overhead compartment.
good for some micless and not having to plug in Busking? any ones good to use with a capo?
How does Yamaha control the cleanliness of the sound of the atrings? No over tinny noise?
FYI, the Yamaha does NOT have a piezo pickup in the bridge like all the others. It has a specially designed INTERNAL pickup that gives it a much bigger and more natural sound when plugged in compared to the others with the cheap piezo pickups.
I got an APXt2 after this seeing video. Love it but to play with someone else you gotta plug in to match volume. That’s fine cause the pickup sounds great.
How’s the sound?
Can someone please tell me what the song at 8:11 is?
Do any of these guitars come with hard shale cases?
Hello everybody! We need some help. We did not recognize one song, what the guy plays. The song start at 25:50. Could you help us please? Which song is it? Thank you very much.
Is yamaha JR1 good one?
Bang for the buck, it's the APXT2 hands down.
At 6:46 is this a song or is the guy just jammin'? I kind of like it and ripped it off for myself.
The GS Mini blew the others out of the water. My son owns that same Ibanez and it’s not my favorite. I didn’t like that Eastcost at all for some reason 🤷♂️. Great video 💖🙏💖.
Pretty rad you played a One Hot Minute, Chili Peppers tune to show case the Yamaha. It caught me off guard.
The very affordable and highly playable Harley Benton GS-Travel Mahogany adds another option to the mix.
East coast kills it!!!
Damn, I would love the size of the Yamaha with a better sound, but I guess you can't have everything from life...Great video!
what about the yamaha silent?
What about the Martin Junior?
one questio: do travel guitars has the same sound power as the normal size guitars? how is the sound power of the Yamaha APX T2? one person is selling me one but i am in doubt about the Sound power and quality... do you recommend it?
Nice demo, I like Taylor Mini. Yamaha was soft in sound.
What’s the name of the picking track at 4.05 ?
Can someone please tell me what song is at 12:05
Can someone please name all the songs? Tnx!
The gs mini is on a league of its own. It sounds like a big guitar
Because it is big...15" lower bout
24:17
이 사람 천재다! 내가 원하는 게 이거다.
He's a genius. This is what I wanted.
21:24 sounds awesome
