Did I buy another COLLECTOR UNIT? The "No Show" locker I bought at the abandoned storage auction!

- Last week we scored when no one showed up at the auction. We picked up a 10' x 20' locker for just $50! And it looks good too, with dust and cobwebs and nearly full of goodies we need to go through.
This is part 2 of what I'm calling the "Auction No Show" series. I'm back at the unit, starting to dig through boxes. There's a lot of regular stuff (good stuff, but flea market stuff), but I'm starting to see signs that this guy may have been a collector as well. I've been buying nothing but collector units lately!
What do I find that the owner collected? What else do we find? You'll have to stay tuned and find out. Come along with us for another storage locker adventure, and get a taste of what makes us Locker Nuts.

The boxes that said the contents were from dresser drawers look like someone other than the owner was told to pack them. That's why they included EVERYTHING including a bread wrapper. I've seen that when movers have packed up a house. They will even individually wrap items from a trash can in butcher paper since it increases the bill for the moving company.
@5:48 Those are glass swizel sticks. Some of those can be worth $100 up... there are people that collect them, my dad collected them. He got them from Alcohol Sales reps when he ran clubs. Glass ones are the valuable ones, they are generally hand blown, so one of a kind.

That one thing is worth alot. Some people collect it. And they don't makem no mo. That other one over in there is a special edition. Worth a LOT!
I won't swear to it but I believe the pen you thought was made of wood looks like it's burl wood. They go for a pretty penny.

That shared locker deal may make you all money, but it's chaotic.

I like it better solo too. I prefer to take things at my own pace, on my own schedule, and to be able to keep 100% of the finds. I probably won't be doing too many group buys in the future.

Jack if you find a Life Magazine from 63 with Liz Taylor on the front it has 2 baseball card worth money. Its Stan Musial. and Mickey Mantle. I found one way back in the 90s and I sold them for 250 dollats

💖 Love the pens❣ The red pens in the black plastic box and in the red wood box look like rosewood pens. I have a fat black pen like two you found. It is a dream to write with. My son used to clean executive offices in a big name medical mfg. The president was an arrogant jerk. He threw very nice things away all the time. Of course, my son rescued the items. 😊😊😊

Fantastic locker Jack. On the mont Blanc fountain pens there is a white tip on the end of the cap. It represents the mountain the pen was named after. You definitely found one, now I hope you can find the other one.
Jack, Janna you are my favorite UTube to watch! I think the picture frame that had the flower rosary in it is like what I have from my Dads viewing. The rosary had flowers for beads and hung inside the top of the casket. It was close to the 13: marker on the UTube.

That rosary with flowers in the shadow box may have been used on a coffin I've seen them before
Very interesting. There were fabrics in that box too, which I thought were drapes, but maybe that was also used for the coffin.

The pen by Campo Mario Roma is made from a Celluloid mix my husband used to turn pen blanks like this along with real wood ones. This company is still in business.

Well, that would be a hand towel Mr Locker Nuts. :-). People use old ties for quilts and refabricing things. I have seen tie foot stools etc. Bet you could sell them in a lot on Ebay!

Avon skin so soft is great bug repelant
My heart breaks when I see those pieces of furniture going to the dump. I know you can't hang on to them, but I live in a very poor neighborhood in S.TX where many of those pieces would be gravy. Myself, I like to up-cycle so could use them for other projects. Also, they would be selling for $20-30 at the flea market where I live.
I do love your adventures in storage very much though. It's addicting.
You Gotta watch those storage place owners man as some of them are shady and i wouldnt put anything past them. My friend put his classic plymouth in one and it got thieved and sold, and it turned out it was a friend of the owners who he was roping in to do the dirtywork for half of the profits ..

I put usable but damaged/ hard to sell furniture on facebook for free. almost always someone is picking it up within a few hours. Sometimes before I even unpack the whole unit.
Dakota Flora - Yes, that is an awesome suggestion to post things on Facebook Marketplace. I've had good luck in having people pick up my FREE stuff. Saves me the hassle of hauling it off to the dump, and it is also good to get one more use out of an item before it ends up in the landfill.

Always look in jacket pockets. I bought a nice jacket at a second hand shop, and I found cash in the pocket when I got it home!

First box you opened had Avon Skin So Soft bar soaps. .Many years ago I pad $7/bar because they were discontinued and my face loved that soap.

Just curious, but Do you have a fire place? My dad would be cutting those dressers up and burning them (goodkindleling or fire starter) as long as the laminant is not toxic or be taken off. My dad's currently restoring our over 100 year old family home lots of dry old wood not reusable geting removed and has been our kindling and fire starters for the last 10 years 😂 don't know if it's worth your time but honestly break it up give it away as free wood not sure about the USA but in New Zealand it wouldn't hang around long

Looking at other people's stuff, I find both relaxing, exciting, interesting and sad..most of these stuff had been at least given love and care even most of them we consider as rubbish and the owners parted with them. Do I sound like a hoarder myself😅 Thanks for videos❤

Yes, I came here to comment on that, even though I'm a few months late, ha, ha. At 20:55 plus, you can see what appears to be a ring or an earring inside the Coach purse. I hope it was something good that you did not miss later!!

I read a comment where a chap found money rolled up in pens and found over £1000.
A crafter would use ties to make pillows, sell them as a lot(check for designer labels first). Wish I was there! Storage wars has nothing on you!!!
"Tea towels"/Fake Gucci, for certain-any purse w/a Made in China tag is definitely a knock off. Of course you likely know that by now, if Janna's seen them=) Watching you go through those boxes of empty smaller boxes & all the brand new minutia type items, made me realize I have a few of those going right now~ yep, in the trash they go.
Hoping you do decide to auction off a pen lot- it's one item I can never keep in the house. We're old school list makers, puzzle doers, writers of various stuff. I tried buying the ones that are refillable, but then they discontinued them so no refills- because they weren't high end. Can always find refills for higher end pens, of course=)

Put together a nice box of crafting supplies and auction it off. I know other storage guys like Wade & thrift trader that make very good money doing that. You wind up giving most of it away. It's not worth it when you could make $100-$200 on auctions! Please Jack I want you to make the most bang for your buck.
