We were never allowed to explore my great grandparent's house either. Couldn't even use the bathroom excuse because they had a half bath downstairs and they made us use that lol. That deer with the little deer chained to it....my grandmother had several of those. I remember seeing dogs with puppies, cats with kittens and deer with fawns. The mama deer with the one she had though were standing up. They were pretty common in I think the late 70's, early 80's. I could be way off on the dates though, might be older.
Wish I could leave you two thumbs up this video reminded me of my mother in law, whom is now been gone for quite some time . She was a beautiful person inside and out , she loved everyone. She also loved her Nick knacks.
I showed my sister the doe with the 2 little fauns attached and she agreed that she remembers Mum having them on her mantelpiece. This would be we think in the late 60's early 70's, so there's some age to themJeremy. I have seen others now and then in secondhand shops so they were obviously quite popular here at one time. I do enjoy unboxing, but thats the first time I have recognized something, not surprising as I am over the pond lol. Good luck Mary-Ellen UK
17:36 Two Fenton amberina swung vases and one Fenton amberina compote. I'm obsessed with certain ceramics and glass in general. Also really into jewelry.
22:56 the deer with two babies chained to it. Back in the day that was a popular thing. My Aunt & Grandma both had lots of different sets like that sitting around
Jeremy you should get in contact with Jocelyn, the crazy lamp lady as her knowledge with lamps and glassware is incredible! And I believe she is in Pennsylvania!
10:00 That's a craft baby doll. You sewed the body on a sewing machine and stuffed it with pillow fluff, and then you attached the head and arms (and feet as well, if they're included).
My late father use to make those dolls and ornaments with those supplies they’re made with plastic needs and needles pushed into styrofoam balls.. I have a Christmas ornament that was made using those things...
@ 12:46 the deer is Trapunto. Hand stitched and extra stuffing made that area 3-D, I made this exact picture, and one, at least, with horses. Wish I had them, now~ LOL
The light you thought was a desk light is actually a picture light. It has a bracket to fix it to a wall above a picture to light it up so you can study it. They usually have a low wattage bulb so you don't get any glare or damage to the painting. 😀
My favorite toys were Johnny and Jane West, with horses and wagons and all accessories. I used the Barbie house as the ranch and the barbies were the girls in town! Lol I had a great time!
Word of advise that I learned while a Safety Director of a Masonry Contractor Co... Turn the cinder block 90° of what you had yours. The direction makes for the strength of the block. Just an FYI you may be able to use.
My favourite toys growing up were Garfield & Odie & Tweetybird & Kermit the frog 🐸 9:29 But Ive always totally loved turtles 🐢 as well 14:39 - Alcatraz in San Francisco One of the many places I’ve been in the USA 20:20 the best box in today’s video all the small items
24:52 this reminded me of the old worship song which I then started humming in my head. It wouldn't get out of my head so I ended up listening to it on UA-cam. That then lead me to listening to several 90s worship hits... So I guess you can say Jeremy took me to Church!
TomAtoes. What a fantastic locker! I’m looking forward to the upcoming videos! The red, amber, and green glass 17:40 is not depression, it’s newer. The clear glass pieces are older though.
Hi Jeremy and George, I am just letting you know that I recently watched a magnet fishing vlog and the guy found a with scrap metal in it. But it wasn't your usual scrap metal as it was used to make jewellery and from what I saw it was pendants that they were making. They were using a metal that wasn't magnetic and on the back of them was stamped 925 the marking for silver and the company that they were trying to pass it of as was Tiffany & Co. I know that I live in England but you still might get some jewellery over there.. Xxx
The Japan figurines are with some decent money now. Looks like most of the small ones are from 50 / 60s . The red and yellow vases are amberine...very cool. Napco Japan figurines are pretty popular.
My favourite toy was an old black 2 wheeler bike, I was 13 years of age I loved it, every time I stood on the peddles one would undo and fall off catch my ankle, it was very painfull I would screw the pedal back on several times a day, I or my parents did'nt know of any welders in those days, so I had to get on with it unscrewing by itself. I loved and hated that bike, but the money to buy a new bike wasn't available in those day's. Love your program by the way. X
The three deer chained together was from 60's . There where all kinds of animals like that. We bought a set for mom when we were little with our allowance.
8:43 was a sky dancer. If you can find the launcher they sell pretty good on eBay. One of my favorite toys as a kid was a Sears Highway Police Chase set made by Tomy in the early 70s. Blue track in a cloverleaf interchange pattern where a black and white cop car chased a red car. Both were Datsuns. The frustrating part about replacing it was I didn't know what it was called and I spent about 5 years of off and on trying to figure it out. When I finally did, I started buying every set I could find. I think I have 10 of them put away somewhere and one on display in my office.
I'd swear the perfume bottle design (grey leaf pink rose) is an Alfred Meakin (London). They are quite sought after, collectable, really. I gave away a tureen as it had a cracked bowl, to a charity shop, as lid was perfect. I took photos though if you want to compare. But bottle should really have a black stamp underneath any way. Australia: Tomato is TOE- MAR- TOE.
The $8.00 doll looks like it is made by either Berenguer or Berjusa. One word of caution: do not let a vinyl doll touch newspaper print as the print can permanently stain the vinyl.
I had one, but my teen aged cousins assassinated her. They were boys and they yanked her pull string until it wouldn't return, then used it to hang her. I lived that doll. We were pretty poor, my dad legally blind so he didn't work, and my Mom would work until he would make her quit every year, but she made sure she bought Christmas a little at a time while she did work so we always had something under the tree. That was the most expensive thing I ever got for Christmas and that was back in the early 70's
The dish at 15:25 is a spoon rest for use in stove top cooking but also during coffee klatches...so you don't make a mess with stirring spoons on your coffee table
Funny, if you are the normal one of the family, I'd be frightened to meet the rest of them. I AM SO KIDDING, I LOVE YOU GUYS AND YOUR SENSE OF HUMOUR! I SENT EMAILS ON INTERESTED ON SOME ITEMS SHOWN IN VIDEO, NO ONE EVER EMAILS ME BACK ABOUT THE ITEMS I'M INTERESTED IN? FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE!
Being English I say tomartoes lol, but what does it matter as long as we know what each other means? I love watching you go through these boxes, I was born in the early 50's and remember Nan and Mum having bits and pieces around that were old fashioned then, probably antiques now. Have fun unboxing Jeremy, see you and George soon Mary-Ellen UK
My favorite toy and only toy was a doll I received in the second grade . I spent that Christmas in the hospital after having emergency surgery on both eyes . Even though I could not see she had short hair a soft body, soft rubber hands and arms, as well as feet and legs. She is gone now and even though I'm now 60 I'd love to have her back to sit on my bed
Tainted/dyed/color glassware was popular from sometime in the 20's into the 50's, possibly even into the 60's. There was a return of sorts in the 70's and 80's.
Playing Jacks with the neighborhood kids. We use to have tournaments playing hop scotch, jacks, but all was outside. Ashtrays are worth money I have a few 60's & 70's there is a website just type in vintage ashtrays. That ashtray with the cedar box shows price $30. The hummingbirds are 1998 porcelain hummingbird tulips going for $11. The deers are from the 60's & yes lots of them were chained to their mothers. I found a set of them for $110

26:37. Button and daisy pattern Fenton canoe, milk glass compote,. Careful. Some of those old ceramic birds can be quite valuable fumblenuts. :) It just depends on the maker or how old it is. The deer are mid-century and most likely a Japanese export. They made all kinds of weird chained figures like this. I never researched the significance. They were made in all sorts of materials too. I've seen chained animals made in czech satin glass. Most of the ceramics are Japanese and collectible but of little value. HALE$ YES!
Hello Jeremy & George! Just like Grandma's house! Happy Sunday! Be safe! God bless!
That plate with the picture on it at 26:35 looked like a picture of Alcatraz island to me.
Having grown up the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, it WAS Alcatraz Island and the skyline of San Francisco from the Bay.
The red to yellow vase around 17:29 is called amberinia, it's art glass and worth a little. Crazy lamp lady sells it a lot.

Cracking up over here, lol!
E.O.Brody made both green and white vases. I was very small but never forgot the jolly jumper! Later it was the hot wheel.
Great miniatures
Loved this video when you take your time going through the boxes thanks for sharing love from the uk xx
Your killing me tossing those littles. :))))
Me too, especially if older. People watching this and happen to able to buy, would want it treated with care

Nice coloured glass!
Thanks so much, enjoy watching you all❤️😊👋
Napco figurines are VERY collectible. The bunny, especially given its size is worth some money!!
I did like the matador picture! Real cool!

Tweety Bird Soaky....🎶Soaky soaks you clean and every girl and boy gets a toy when it’s done, it’s a Soaky toy! Remember it well from my childhood. 🎶

At 25:38 that is a piece of Tonala pottery. Tonala was from Mexico. I collect Tonala Pottery.
My grandparents lived in an old farmhouse with some very antique furniture and all cast iron pots and pans. They also had an outhouse.
The Crazy Lamp Lady and her friend Sue (SueMe) are very knowledgeable about glass and ceramic ware... they might be able to help ...
It's probably just me but I always want to see the dates on your newspaper wrappings! Loved that mischeovous first baby outta the box!

It's all a set .. momma had one when I was a kid 67 yrs ago... beautiful condition.
It does remind me of going to my Granny's (my dads mom) house. She had tons of tint knick knacks on shelves. I used to love looking at them.
@20:42 all of those little figurines look like they could be Hagen Renakers. If they are, they’re very collectible.

At 9:30 my favorite toy was my bike. I loved being outside as a kid. Not inside watching tv.
My favorite toy was Popper-Knockers my wrists and elbows were all brused up!

Chachkies is the yiddish word for trinkets and collectables, AKA dusk collectors that you would find in grandma's house.
At 17:59 the red glassware ...if its marked Viking Glass it's from my grandfather who blew a lot of those vases and bowls.
The black rabbit said Viking...if it is it was made in WVa
16:18 is a cigarette pack holder with coin purse. It snaps in the middle. My mom had one for years.

Lots a memories seeing some of those items ❤️
My grandmother had that mother deer with the two babies 'chained' to her.
Chatty Cathy was my favorite doll but I loved to play with my older brother's cowboys and Indians with a fort. Also tonka trucks and matchbox cars.
Nancy Cox I still have my Chatty Cathy from about 1965. She no long talks and her hair looks like Don Kings hairdo.
In the future put the Jack over the center support of the block not the open void. The strength is in the web.
Beautiful glass
