im zoey, (although im trans, not gender fluid). my last name is koontz and i was in the lunch room typing my number in and they couldnt find me, turns out when a girl named zoey koontz dropped out of school, they deleted my lunch account instead of her's, so people decided to call me that instead as a joke and when i finally realised i was trans, i kept the name
That's awesome.
My friends gave me the name "Ian" cause when I cut my hair they said I looked like Ian Hecox from Smosh.
Hi i'm biologically a boy . My boy name is Basile, and my girl name is Bailey.
Hi Grae! So, obviously by my photo, I am a man. Well to a degree, I'm not huge on sports, or much that society deems masculine. I'm also genderfluid. So anyway, names. I havent thought much about a female name, because I haven't gone out yet, as a female. I'm still working on confidence, and my "fem" look. I have thought about my female name a little, and I thought about keeping it as "Ryan". It's not so much of a common female name here in the U.S., but I believe it is more so in some European countries. So yeah, I like "Ryan". That's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol. Take care! :)
I am originally a girl, my name is Nina when I am a girl, and Elliot when I am a boy. Just recently I found this out, it's confusing but cool
+Nina Stanley I'm glad you've found out about it all and I hope it works well for you!! =D
I was born with a uni-sex name, so that's cool, but the problem is I can't dress like the sex I feel like because of clothing and I look like a girl, like you couldn't mis-gender me for a boy. I hate it, because I feel like a boy sometimes, but sometimes both. It's just so confusing.
Isn't it such a beautiful moment when you find your gender fluid name? c:
AshleyzWannaB exactly
AshleyzWannaB it's magic. it's like everything makes sense. I cried a little.
I normally go by my given name which is Kiana but when I'm more of a guy, which is most of the time (I'm genderfluid as well), I like to go by Roosevelt since my middle name is Rose. Roosevelt means a field of Roses and I just think that's really cool. Thanks for sharing your story !
My guy name is Lysander. It's from a Shakespeare play and it fits my level of eccentricity. Though I haven't come out to many people so it's not often used.
Midsummer nights dream. Fitting since puck is a shapeshifter :)
First off I love your channel mate(I'm Aussie so I use mate for everyone.) You're an awesome person.
Secondly here is my name story.
So I'm a transguy and for anyone who isn't cisgender, names are complicated and important. My birthname starts with T so I went by Tyler for a while but it didn't quite fit. I then went by Milo for about a year before I came out to my parents about a month ago. The problem with Milo is more the fact that it's also a drink in Australia.
So I asked my parents what my alternative name would have been and they actually didn't have a male name for me. But the one that was for my brother was Jacob. And I asked all my friends what they thought and Jake was what fit. I chose the middle name of Daniel - because it means that God is my only judge. That's a little reminder because I receive a lot of hate online for just being a transguy and a lot of judgement. (I run LGBT pride pages on Instagram.)
So that's my name story.
Thank you for reading!
-Jake
Grace, meaning The Favor Of God.It fits you well. You are greatly favored of God in that He has blessed you with the beauty, strength and uniqueness of both genders, and both sides of you are deeply loved and appreciated.
I got my male name, Zachariah, from my parents when I was born. My friend helped me make my female name, Coraline. She was suggesting a bunch of names and I asked if Coraline would fit me and she said "definitely" so I just ran with it. It's so fun when you're super nervous about coming out to your friends and then they're just super supportive
i will probably keep my name as i like it and it is both a male and female name(my parents had to give me a second name so it is obvious what gender i am from my name). btw my name is Kai
simple the way I got mine Jules-Maria is I was talk to a friend on Facebook he found Jules, and then I was like what about a middle name and I liked Maria from sonic so I went with that
I didn't know your guy mode name until now, Graeden is a hella cool name!
I tried to find a gender neutral name and I thought of Alex but unfortunately that is my sisters name, then I came up with one but changed it and settled on Jamie around a year ago and I'm happy with the name I ended up having cause I know people of different genders with this name as well so I don't see it as being a name people only associate with one gender
OMG I FOUND A TØP AND BVB FAN!!!!!! MY FANDOMS ARE EVERYWHERE!!!
Had I gone and just feminized my guy name, I'd be Danielle, which in my opinion is a very mundane name and a lazy effort on my part (and also since my older sister used to pick on me by calling me that I was just kinda "ech" to it). I called myself Charlotte the Harlot for the longest time after a catchy Iron Maiden song title. Not a great song, but a catchy title. I wanted to be a glam rocker and that was to be my stage name. never panned out. Long story. Years and years went by and I could never think of a proper last name for Charlotte. Then it occurred to me that my femme look was very witchy, so I thought, being of French blood, I would Google the French word for "witch" that being "sorciere." Only my Google app misheard me and gave me "laquelle" being the French word for "which." At first I was irritated, but then I thought, "hey, that's kind of a cute little pun for those few who would get it," so I adopted it. I later took on as a middle name "Artemisia" after artemisia absinthium, the infamous "green fairy" in absinthe. And with a name like that I had to have a title, so I became "Lady Charlotte Artemisia Laquelle, the Wicked 'Which' of the North"!
my younger sibling came out as gender fluid and these videos are so helpful to me to fully understand so thank you!!
I guess I'm writing this as a bit of a test for myself. Experimenting with the idea of identity. I've only just recently accepted the idea that I'm genderfluid (2 weeks at this point). For some context, I'm nearly 21 and biologically male. The time before I came to the idea of a fluid identity, I would consider what sort of names I'd give a child, if I were to have one. I would only come up with girls names. Only 2 came up that really ring true with me, Elizabeth and Guinivere. I also recently got back into online gaming, and I needed a name for my character. I was trying to personalize Guinivere more, so I blended it with my name a little, Corwin. The result was Gwynnivere, but it was taken. So I tried messing with it more, and settled on Gwynnyrra. I've spent a lot of time on that character and have been quite happy with her name. After accepting that some days I really do just feel like a girl, I very much wanted to call myself something that wasn't a name given to a son, despite how unique it might be. And I thought, I've always had the nickname Wyn, and I do like that name, so why not just have my name be something that holds that. I remembered Gwynnyrra and just smiled. So now when I'm a girl I'm Gwynnyrra, or Gwynn for short, and when I'm a boy, I'm Corwin. Wow. Hitting this button is difficult.
I went through two names before settling on Asheton. These both happened in 6th grade, they were Adrian and Aydan. They were both gender neutral, but this was when i identified and fluid. I identify as trans (I'm a guy) and I didn't know what name to go by so my friends just called me a shortened version of my birth name. I was at a look party with them and one of my friends said that i look like an "Ash". Sure. Gender neutral was what i was looking for but that was before I completely accepted myself as trans. I now go by Ashe or Asheton.
i habe a black cat too!
i go by 2 names. Christy (birthname) when im a girl and CJ when im a guy or whichever when im both
I settled on the name Sophie as my girl name. I'd always been fond of it since I was a little kid and it would have been my preferred just had been born a girl (before I realized I was genderfluid). I was surprised at how long it took me to get used to being called that when I asked friends to call me it.
Haha, my name is Chloe! But I'm actually exploring my gender at the moment. I think you've really helped me. :)
Michelle is my middle name, haha.
+Michelle mccoin Michelle's a good name, so is Chloe! =D but it's awesome you're exploring your gender, and I'm really happy I've managed to help you out! =D
+Seadresa Thanks. I actually think that I might be gender fluid. I'm writing a bunch of LGBT+ stories and while doing that I've had to do research. In doing that, I think I've really found my gender.
I chose Anne Bonny...cross dressing female pirate out of the Carolina's living a life of adventure on the high seas...being Anne I live a life of high adventure and I also like sailing.
Loved your story! my birth name is David, people were already calling me Dave, so I just dropped the 'V' and go by Dae now. Felt most comfortable having a gender neutral name. However, when I'm deeply embraced in my womanhood, 'Lia' is accepted and welcomed.
"Frag" used to be my nickname on online games. When I was looking for a gender neutral name I've realized that Frag is similar to "frage", the word in German for question. That moment I knew that the answer was just in front of me. Now I use Frag ever since
I'm not that creative with names.... My name is Tony and I simply spell it with "i" as my female name.
When I had long hair, I used to put it up and over my face to make me look like a guy, my friends and I decided my boy name was Ryan after my girl name is Rachel, and when I cut my hair and became a little more gender neutral, people started calling me Ryan when I dresses more masculine or not in the lines of looking feminine.
For a while, I was unsure about what my girl mode name would be. I wanted something that would sound similar to my male name to help people understand my identity a bit better, but the closest I could get was Andrea. I elected to stay away from that name because it was just too close to my name given at birth. Then the name Angela popped into my head...and its been my girl mode name ever since :)
I have two names two, though neither are my birth name. The masculine one is Maximilien, and the feminine one is Maxime. My friends like it because 'Max' is always a safe bet.
My boy name is Elijah and my girl name is Elisa and that works so well because they are very simillar and both feel very much like me and also they both shorten to Eli :) When I was picking my boy name I was very scared to pick the wrong one but as soon as I found Elijah it just felt so right
I haven't really settled on a name yet, so I go by my birth name. I've found a name that I really like but it's so unique I worry about how people will react when I come out and tell them I'd rather go by that name. I found it through searching online and tried it out for a little while
My best friend helped me come up with 'Avi' since it's both gender neutral and not too different from my nickname 'Abby.'
I was born, a name was given to me, they wanted it to be an international name, Victor it was. In high school when I used to have long hair, I was sometimes called Victoria, not by my choosing but it seemed to fit. My online name came a long time ago when i was a kid, i actually don't remember what process was used to make the name, ironic the only name i chose i have no idea how, lol
My name is Max and it's short for Maxine if I'm feeling feminine or Maximas if I'm feeling masculine
I was using Liam for a while, a rif on my middle name, but it never quite suited me. Now I use my birth name or Rowan (unisex) interchangeably.
I'm very new to being genderfluid so I don't know if I'm going to have more than one name but it has been on my mind. I definitely won't decide it soon because as of right now I haven't even identified as genderfluid for a week yet. My birth name is Colin, which I have always hated BTW, so I've been going by a gender neutral name for a little while with my friends, even before I was genderfluid. That name is Lin, it's kind of like a shorter version of Colin too so that's what I'm going with for now
I'm genderfluid, biologically female :) My birth name is Bethany, but when I am a boy then I am Ben. I thought I was the only person in the world that goes by two different names!
+bethanynax you're not the only one yay!!!! =D
***** Lets have a party!! :D
I'm London, but previously was Luca/Lucas because I didn't know what name would suit me
I settled on Lyra. It's a decent name.
I'm (pretty sure I'm) genderfluid but I prefer female pronouns because I'm iffy about it and plus it's easier on me and others. I have a female name but I never really considered also having a boy name. I'm terrible with names so it would be quite hard. Plus I think giving names to concepts ends up where it's like having two personalities, which isn't all that appealing when you consider stuff like MPD. I'm still the name I was given even if I feel male or agender.
ah, I admit I was quite confused myself for the first name I hesitated to keep the name that my parents would give me if I was a girl that is clara I really like the name, and I think Ariel suits me well.
I am genderfluid, biologically female, and my birth name is Tamiko (it's a girl's name in Japan) so when I finally realized my gender, I had to come up with a new name! I actually have three (because I'm a "special snowflake" according to my friend) When I'm female, I go by Tami. When I'm male, I go by Tyler. When I'm both or neither, I go by Sam.
my first name Jennifer is a feminine version of my birth name. My middle name took me a long time trying to figure out what I wanted until I thought of Lilly.
Hey!! I need help!! Sometimes I want to be a boy, try out the outfits, the hats, the short hair, etc. But I also love being female. And I've always wanted to try being gender fluid. Everything seems so nice about. It's like being in between both worlds. And I'm still confused, is there any way you can help? Oh, I'm also bisexual, and am crushing on a female.
You don't choose the name, the name choose you
My middle name is Taite (pronounced like Tate) and I think it suits me nicely
I have tried sooo many names but only online as Im not really 'out'. I like Jacie which is a combo of my birth Initials. But that's like really feminine and as much as I want to use it, I'm scared to lol. I also like Josie. For a middle name, I'm thinking Kristian as a neutralish spelliing variation of my given middle name.
Aww you're so adorable!! I'm also gender fluid, I go by two names
Laura (my birth name) and Logan. :P
I'm Genderfluid. And my name is Danni given to me at birth. And I use it most of the time. But a another name that was given to me when I was a baby is Santa. Because that's what my great grandma called me. And I don't really care witch one people call me. I'm happy with both.
My name is Chloe and I like it but also I really like Skyler cause it's nice and also more gender neutral but idk
I am genderfluid biologically female. My name is Nicole but I like to go by Nick or Nicky because they sound more neutral
(Preemptively mentioning that I use a fake name on UA-cam so I can speak more freely)I'm hella not out yet but I've always liked Lukas (Lu when I'm female, Lukas/ Luke when I'm male, Luke when I'm neither/both) or Matthew (Mattie for female, Matt/Matthew when I'm male, Matt when I'm neither/both) and I really
1. Want to be more secure in my gender
2. Want to get my name together
3. Expand my wardrobe/makeup/ binders/packers and shit
Before I come out
Gosh I like you so much! I wish we were friends. Just followed you on Instagram.
I honestly have no idea what the hell I am.... I don't know if I'm straight, bisexual or pan (think I'm bi, may be pan) , or if I am female or gender fluid... I sometimes am a real girly girl, but other times I feel more like either a tomboy or male... Please give me some advice, it would be much appreciated...
Edit: If I was at some point a boy, my name would be Alex (Like the gender fluid character from 'Magnus Chase', my favourite character and books, cuz Alex is so much like me)
You are a very pretty girl. You make a wonderful girl/woman.
I have 2 names too. my name in "guy mode" is Noah and "girl mode" is Nora
+Seadresa hey I'm biologically a girl what do you think is a good boy name? Or should I have a gender neutral name?
My name is Eloise Elliott, I love my name Eloise but I feel like it's too girly when I'm a boy. I don't mind be called El but sometimes I want a more masculine name so should I ask my friends to call me by my last name when I feel like a boy
I'm originally a male so my male name which is also my birth name is dakota! but I'm a total nerd and got some inspiration from doctor who and decided to go with river but I'm still not sure if it fits me or not :/ I also like the name rose what do you think?
well I changed my female name to Luna cause my actual name was too common and then my boy name is Leo. it just goes better. it's also funny because I was going by my boy name which was Greyson and then I was like Naw both my name's gotta flow together. that's how Luna and Leo came to be
I am biologically male and my male name is Jac and my female name is Jackie
I think I'm going through the same problem, I've always liked the name Christine so i chose that as my girl name however I feel like it'd be easier for everyone keeping my name similar to my guy name so I also think of Georgia (female equiv of my guy name), i really don't know xD i think itll become clear when i start going out properly as a girl, part of me thinks i should just keep my guy name no matter what mode I'm in.
My feminine name is Alice (its actually alyssa but none of my friends really call me it and i dont like it) and my masculine name is Alex
When I came out as gender fluid I asked my mother and father to rename me. (My birth name is Emilie). They picked Alex because if I had been born male I would have been Alexander and my birth name was almost Alexandria
That’s an awesome name Alex! 😃 so cool that they renamed you! 😊
I'm really interested on how he/she came up with their channel name! It's sounds like the name of a water dragon!
My best friend gave me my name because it is the name of her hairdresser xD
My birth name is Moira so I was thinking of just going with Moriah for a gender neutral name because people already misread my name for Moriah anyway
My birth name is Dillion but when I came up with my name it was Lili because it just clicked and felt right and my gf just now made me realize my girl name is my birth name with out the d o and n
My Dead name is Addison, and the name I go by is Dakota.
I have 3 names right now. My birth name. My male name my best friend helped me pic and a n gender neutral name that is a blend of the 2
That sounds so cool! I wish I could do that :(
Well right now I’m settled on Logan for my guy name. Some of my internet friends only call me Logan bc I told them to, as it’s gender neutral. Otherwise everyone calls me Liz. It sucks sometimes.
I haven't really settled on a name yet. I do like Sophia (meaning wisdom, hehe). The name my parents would have given me if I was born a girl was Rakel (or Rachel in English), but it didn't feel like 'me'. Sophia is better, but I think I do want something with "M", like my given name Markus... I dunno, but I'll figure it out ^_^
I have two I like, but I haven't settled on which I like best. I have Jacen, because it seems like a more gender neutral version of Jason, and Sonja (Russian for wisdom, and an anagram of Jason) :) .
I am biologically a boy, names Philipp so... not a lot to work eith there. so I thought about names that had a special connection to me... currently playing around with two/three names.
Julia, as it is the name my mum wouldve given me if id happened to become a girl
Kim, cause I first realised I wasnt binary thanks to someone called Kim
or Jen (Jennifer) cuz... Idk, i really like the name ^^'
But because some of my friends already refer to me as Kim, I might stick with that :D (also a great non-specific name btw c: )
***** it is the only thing that you could turn my name into and... Ugh, don't really think it fits me.
My name biologically is Breauna, but I prefer the name Brendyn... Idk I just like it.
I’m genderfluid and born biologically a girl, and most of the time I like to dress like a boy, and I just can’t help the pride that fills me everytime someone calls me a guy (most do the time elderly people do that and when my mom corrects them I hate it), but I still can’t find a male name that I can use :/
How do you let the people around you know if you are Grayden or Grace at the moment? I was born a girl, so showing my masculine side is a bit difficult.
I'm a gender fluid person and I feel lucky that my real name is gender neutral!
I have two names- Maddie and Matthew. Some people call me Maddie and some call me Matthew. It’s just what ever they choose and I don’t really mind which one. Or my gender neutral name is just mads
My girl name (my birth name) is Georgia and my guy name is George
I have one name, Taye. I just decided to Google gender neutral names and pick one I liked!
funny thing is I'm a cis girl but I never liked my birth name. so I chosed a """"guy"""" name just because I liked it. idk I don't like to put genders on names
I am Genderfluid and I've been trying Aiden but I don't think it's working and my female name is Lillie so I've been trying to think of something that starts with an L and I'm thinking Lucas or Luke? Idk I'm gonna try them out
u are a cool person ☺
I was just wondering
for me i have everything a girl wants
slim waste, long hair, big boobs, but no.
I like to go by "he" and "him" I'm gay and a great friend!
the thing is.. I just don't feel like I'll be able to do enough to change!! my parents hate trans and gay and my dads all like "your a beautiful girl so act like one!" UGH
I was just wondering if u could help me with anything.. I'm sorry if this seems like me blabbering on about my problems.. but yea! I was just wondering if I could get some advice!
thank u!
"But no" what???
but no as in I don't really want it heh!! sorry for the confusion! it was 3 in the mornin
Is ok. I know how you feel.
Thats so horrible :'c
when i realised i wasnt binary i thought i was trans myself... thanks to a therapist i found out that im not and now, bc of some of my best friend i found out that i am gender fluid.
and that is the best advice i can give you... taking it to your friends who will listen to you, understand you and let you be you inner self is the best thing you can do, if you know your parents disapprove of it (i dont know whether mine would, but i dont dare telling them.. but even if they wouldnt, my brother would think that im an insane weird stupid idiot...)
thank you! i have bean thinking of the possibility of being gender fluid but haven't had enough confidence to actually try. i always worry im wearing the wrong things or acting the wrong way.
YOUR CAT IS NAMED BOWIE.
That's COOL.
Sra. Grace Robson
I found my name on a gender neutral name list. I think it was on nonbinary.org? I don't remember though. I do, however, remember that I couldn't choose between Dallas and Ash, so I decided to have Dallas as a first name and Ash as a middle.
I'm biologically a girl. My name is Diletta (i'm Italian) and I don't find a great male name :(
any idea?
I'm oddly amused that that you couldn't remember more gender neutral names - you did work with 2 other people that were gender neutral last year. I spent ages trying to decide on my name, going through baby name sites I had a list of about 5 on my blackboard for ages that when I decided one didn't work I wiped it off. Asha/Asher and Caiden/Caydn were there for the longest but I couldn't keep Rowan out of my head.
My parents nearly named me Rowan it turned out to be their second choice, and I was feeling super upset letting go of the name that my dead mother have given me (the stuff she made for me with my name on it still mocks me), so in some ways this also felt like it was betraying her less. Fortunately its widely agreed I suit it (although my Grandfather is annoyed that I didnt choose a New Zealand tree for my name).
I HAVE 4 NAMES :D
I have 2 names
hhhhhhh you're still so amazing - I never comment on anything though, but it'd be awesome to get some tips on confidence - still haven't come out to my parents as trans, been planning to for about 19 months - and it's always SUPER hard for me to go shopping for clothes thanksssssss baiiiii
- emerrzzzzz (Emily)
Me too. Sometimes I borrow my older brother's clothes. Or sometimes I have the excuse " girls' clothes look like shit." And I really won't have to buy girl clothes since my closet is full of them. But yah. It sucks sometimes to go shopping. Especially when I get stared at.
It's GRAET
HAH! IT IS!!!!!
I'm so freaking happy right now!!!!! You're the best!!!!!!!!!!! :D
OMG!!! do you have Instagram???? let me follow you :-):-):-)
Is this ego raptor's lesbian sister?
