- Gear info: This video features a 1980s white label Paiste Rude 24" Ride/Crash, the exact ride cymbal Stewart Copeland played on the Synchronicity tour. This was a sort of test to see how close it sounds to the cymbal that's on the record. Pretty darn close!
Snare's my chrome-over-brass Supraphonic with a Noble & Cooley die cast top hoop and a Yamaha die cast bottom hoop. Coated over Hazy Ambassadors with 20-strand Ludwig snares.
And I'm playing along with a drumless version that can be found elsewhere here on UA-cam. No click, no problem.
How can you not love these sounds?

Damn, I;m a little late to the game here but those cymbal hits and timing were flawless, was just bringing up Sting and the Police just randomly playing songs and just found you. Color me impressed.

I grew up listening to The Police, and took up playing drums because Stewart Copeland's drumming was so innovative and precise. You've captured the great man's mastery of the kit. Top effort and a cracking cover!
