I'm 59 years old, and I was lucky to see The Police live in Portugal, and I like all the songs, but the Police forgive me, but you are much better than them in this song. You are an insane trio ... but the drummer, well, the drummer is a phenomenon. Keep up guys ... 🇵🇹
I’m a composer/songwriter and I come back to this video time and time again when I need a reference for drum sounds and fills. The cymbal choke in the first verse alone is a masterclass.
Keep coming back to this. It is without doubt the greatest cover version on youtube. Magnificent.
You apparently haven’t heard the one by Lexington Lab band then. I watch at least 50 cover channels and they are Definitely the best cover channel out there by far, as far as accuracy to the original
@@TrebleForTheBass The Lexington Lab Band isn't really a band. It's like a revolving door of conservatory music students. You'll notice that each video by the LLB is a different group. That said, their version is very good.

@@TrebleForTheBass I've seen no truth in that. I think I saw them do this track, a song by Boston and Stairway to Heaven. The guitar player was the same in two of the videos and the female lead in Stairway was also one of the backup singers in the Boston video. Anywho, true to the original or not, this has way more energy and enthusiasm.
@@TrebleForTheBass I have heard their version many times, in fact, I played it again before making this comment. A talented band for sure, but lacks the energy and dynamics of this version. No argument, just opinion. The Evidence absoloutely nail this in no uncertain terms, and that is before I even mention the drummer is also applying vocals.
Fellow Police fanatic, bassist, singer in a four singer/songwriter PowerPoP band called Admiral Twin for 22 yrs and got to live the touring/major deal with ⛱️Universal Dream🎉, in the worst 2-3 yrs in label history, that any band could get signed, because Napster, and Myspace, opened the free album frenzy, the majors all freaked, conglomerated, grabbing all of the 90's boutique labels too and doing only 1 light/hands off push to indie college radio stations and 5-10 CD's in scattered record stores. Couldn't find but a few I out home town of Tulsa Oklahoma. We played with a lot of our heroes, and met a lot of cool people (don't let anyone convince you that "The Hoff" is a jerk, he's a shy and quite humble guy, who really wants to be taken seriously here, as an artist; he's telling me, while my guys are already on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Oh Crap, "That's me, gotta go!!"
I don't know why I went into all of that. I guess its because I doubt that I'll like someone's cover of one of my favorite songs that was a pivotal moment when, I told myself; I can do this. I will do this, so I did that. You guys look great, sound great, harmonies are as tight a sweet blend can be. My drummer sang a big portion of our cover gigs (Casino's Killed Admiral Twins radio star). Cover gigs could've been a fun addition, but it was what we had to do, to make $$ while we hoped the miracle would happen, before interests faded. They all faded into the night quietly, never to be heard from again..🫸🏼💿🫷🏼......⏰..

What a fantastic cover! I can't say how many times i watched this clip. Meanwhile I like it even more than the original version. So much power and pressure, the increased tempo fits perfect with your playing. You guys play together like a charm. As a graet Police (and Steward Copeland) fan, I am still working on my drum cover of this song. Hope I will bring it to a your level ond day... Great work, respect!

Why shouldn’t they pay homage to their musical influences? I think it’s fantastic when a band brings new life to an ancient song like this. If a band ONLY does covers (aka “lounge acts and tribute bands”), that’s a little boring, but these guys obviously love the song and put their own mark on it. Cut them some slack.

When I first saw this I thought you had to be either completely crazy or phenomenally talented. (...Congrats on being truly phenomenal!) . As a police fan for over 40 years I actually prefer your version which has an edge to it thanks to the amazing guitar work and your lead singer whose one of the few people out there who could give Stewart Copeland a run for his money! (3.40s!)

Nice. Great cover altogether. Solid guitar, beefy drums, and that lovely chugging bass. Vocal performance is excellent as well. Hell, even the name of the band is good.
Those are like, Bad Religion-level studio quality harmonies (that's a very good thing lol)! Performance and playing is top-notch on a classic song by a classic band, even more impressive that the drummer is singing and nailing Stew's parts so faithfully. Awesome!

Ok I know this video is a little dated and I’m not even sure if the band is still together but, this performance was top notch legendary! And not putting any of the guitarists aside for their awesome singing and playing, but the drummer is incredible. That being said, their style is screaming to me for them to do a cover of Tenacious D’s “The Metal”. I know they would make Jack Black proud because they would slaughter that song as it rightfully should be. The bridge in “The Metal” reminds me a lot of the harmonies in “Synchronicity II” and it would be killer to listen to these guys play it! Hopefully someone gets the word out to them that they still have fans

I've watched this video quite a few times since finding the posting on a guitar forum I frequent & I must say, you guys are tearing this song to shreds! Great drumming & vocals, aggressive guitar playing, & kick me in the teeth, hammering bass.

Damned fine cover version. I've never understood exact reconstructions by bands that sound like a carbon copy of the original. Boys of Summer by The Ataris, Ace of Spades by Coal and this song are great examples of putting your own stamp on things... As musicians, we all have different influences. Born in the 70's, I was exposed to 80's alternative, pop and hair metal as a teenager, and the grunge phenomenon of the 90's as a young adult, yet as a songwriter and drummer, I can't help but write songs that would remind one of two more huge influences, Chuck Berry or The Beach Boys. Keep it up!
