HIS ALBUM WITH R O B is his best, on Muse, 83. What a raw powerhouse of 4ceful blowing & singin. "Lester Leaps In", "Strollin w Bones" - two cuts from it; can t think of the name of it rite now 4.30am. Haven t scene it on the forum, so sby bedduh upload it ...or "Sby s Gotta Go ...". Shouter type-of range usage though not a very big guy, saw @ the BN Club, NYC, 6/86 w Spoon & Pomus - ntm R O B ...a real treat.

Eddie Vinson collaborated with some wonderful musicians (eg Jay McShann) and turned out some fantastic records, this is no exception. I have it on vinyl but not played it for years. Lovely to hear again. Thanks for posting it.

Great album, which I didn't know about at all. Cannonball's such a great blues player, and Cleanhead is really centered and down home here. He used to yip sometimes, a tic that annoyed me, unless I'm confusing him with somebody else (not unlikely-porous memory!) Anyway this is a super session! Thanks, Bernie.
