Indeed a perfect video to watch for the first time Travelers and especially trekkers. I myself had followed a very similar sort of packing routine and it really helps in not just reducing per item space but also helps in effectively carrying more load without any strain on shoulders if packed everything efficiently by distributing the loads evenly and of course making optimum use of those straps on the rucksacks. For those who don't know, the straps are not for fancy design purposes, they of course do add some aesthetics to our rucksacks, but their primary purpose is to evenly distribute loads on the trekker's body so that we dont strain out early. Hope this helps some one who is reading this comment.
By the way I can understand your point of carrying those huge Winter jackets in some treks. I have experienced nights in Sar pass's Nagaru and Hampta pass's Shia Goru campsites. They can be termed as hell for sure. Can't wait to experience the night in the Chadar trek.
