We have 2 450s in Europe. One 14t one 15t (to lower the rpm at higher, European highway speeds). Riding the bikes back to back, I like the 14t, more acceleration, better on technical, slow trails. The real issue is the super jerkey off idle fueling. It is bad, especially in slow city traffic riding. The 15t "hides" that a bit. Uncle Wangs header pipes and tuned ecu, is a very nice upgrade for reasonably $385. The skid plate is paper thin. Thx for the rally seat info, and yes, i hate that gloss black paint, too.
I'm quite interested in the gear you wear. Just got my first bike in the 450MT and I'm really lost at what to wear. Currently looking for lightweight equipment, but functional at the same time. Yours looks the par.
