I love Moana SO much. But we don’t need a live action version yet. I think the fact that the one of the actors is available to reprise his role is proof enough of that. Can we get other live action remakes first? Maybe Tangled or Brave?
Give us Atlantis:The Lost Empire or Treasure Planet live action, I think those movies would be more interesting as live action. But I love Moana and I can’t wait to see what they do.
I absolutely love Moana, specially cause of the amazing songs written by Lin. I think it's too early for a live action remake, but i'm just thinking that the opportunity to have the original voice cast be the one to reprise their parts is also something valuable, and that won't be possible 20 years from now. Kinda torn, but i'm hoping for the best
I’m actually kind of a little mixed on that. Yes it’s cool that they get to reprise their roles but it’s also sad that it doesn’t give opportunity for others.
If they really want to do a live adaptation, make it a Broadway musical! As a bonus, it would a make a bunch of money from schools putting on small productions of it.
This movie will always have a special place in my heart. It was my daughters first favorite movie and I’ve seen it probably 1000 times. She’s only 4 now. This is a terrible idea. Why do they need to remake a movie this soon?
I am ok with you guys making an old Disney movie into a live action but moana was released so recently that we still love it. Maybe a sequel to it would be a better version than a live action.

Dwayne: "Is Daddy, Maui? " The girls:"No! " Dwayne:"Want ice cream? " The girls:"Yes! " Dwayne:"Then , is Daddy Maui? " The girls:"Yes!! " My opinion:This is so wholesome for me because he brought his daughters
Ok, I get that there are a lot of naysayers on here. I see you. But you know what? I'm STOKED for a live action Moana! Especially if they use the original cast! They are perfect for this and I would love to see it!
Disney is starting a new trend: duplicating movies. They can make 2 movies at the same time by making an animated version for kids, then a live action version for adults. And you can tell the live action versions are for adults because the trailers are always desaturated and the animal characters are always uncanny. Disney is truly thinking outside the box with how much they can scrape the bottom of the barrel
I know that we've been having too many live-action remakes of Disney movies lately, but I am actually psyched for this, especially if The Rock actually reprises his role as Maui.
I hope they cast Auli'i Cravalho as Moana herself! First Disney Princess to have both her animated and live-action counterparts played by the same actress!
As pretty and talented as Auli'i is, imo we need an actress with bit darker features to play Moana in the live action. Auli'i has rather fair skin compared to Moana's and the story takes place around 800yrs ago when Polynesian people had not yet mixed with European settlers, so it would be more logical and representful for someone with darker complexion to play Moana in the l-a. Most polynesian girls aren't as fair-skinned as Auli'i (whose father is portuguese if I remember right?)
I would rather have a sequel then a live action remake but I mean I have some kind of hope for this film I mean especially if the rock wants to reprise his role
Just please, stop. I've never seen anyone asking for live action movies. Those animated movies are great and magic of animation makes them far more superior than any live action movie can be!
I think they wanted to catch the rock in his prime so that he can create his character. But it is way too early as it just came out and the movie is perfect. I would rather have a sequel
The Rock is alive in a lot of movies though. Not sure that means we need this right now... Auli'i Cravalho is 23 btw, and will likely be 24 at least before they film, that's not quite the same as the original Moana but, idk, they did NOT announce that she was returning here. Did you see something else? I assume she isn't since it would make sense to include her here if she was.
Omg this is amazing! I have waited decades (7 years) for everyone’s favorite princess movie to get a live action remake and totally flop. Good job Disney for more original movies 👏👏👏

Sounds original. Too bad they won't do it.
But the pricesses would have to time travel.
A live action version already
It's been what? 7 years since it came out.
@@meganmurray9302 exactly bruh. I would assume they would wait, like what? 15-20 years before making a remake?

_Oh wait, wrong Disney movie!_
Ok but the way the little girls call Dwayne “Daddy Maui” is adorable!!
Too bad so sad they’re already making it aahahahhaha
I’m actually kind of a little mixed on that. Yes it’s cool that they get to reprise their roles but it’s also sad that it doesn’t give opportunity for others.

I swear April fools day was a few days ago
You can tell the Rock loves himself very much.
He's full of it. Ill sick of this guy. His ego is crazy.
If they really want to do a live adaptation, make it a Broadway musical! As a bonus, it would a make a bunch of money from schools putting on small productions of it.
The thing is Lin Manuel Miranda said he wanted to try to make it a broadway show but he doesn’t know how to do the ocean but he said maybe encanto
Can't wait for a Live Action Adaptation of Song Of The South.
(If you know you know)
Guys, April Fools Day was two days ago, you can stop now.
…Wait, you’re serious?
A sequel would be more exciting
At first I was hoping they won't do a sequel to moana. But now. I think would prefer a sequel then a remake
But we want an animated series for Moana..😭💔
I think they’re doing both this and an animated series for Disney+
This is the kinda stuff that makes me think Disney sent him to destroy the DCEU from the inside.
Soooo true
This movie will always have a special place in my heart. It was my daughters first favorite movie and I’ve seen it probably 1000 times. She’s only 4 now.
This is a terrible idea. Why do they need to remake a movie this soon?
Well said. The movie was great, so what will a Live action remake add to it?

The Moana Cinematic Universe is about to be changed..
Bro this movie is only 7 years old 💀
I am ok with you guys making an old Disney movie into a live action but moana was released so recently that we still love it. Maybe a sequel to it would be a better version than a live action.
I think I’m ok with both but I do wish they made a 2 Moana first before a live action but I’m still excited to see how they make this I want to see who Moana will be but I swear if she’s white and not Hawaiian imma be made not because she’s white but because they’ve been changing peoples colors in the movies like the petter pan movie tinker bell is black I have no hate what so ever I am not racist but like why would you change there characters that much I want to see who Moana is first
Thanks for watching my video, it's cool to know I have a devoted fan like you. Stay happy and healthy 🖤❤
I'm tired of all the remakes, period. And i don't know who is still excited about this.
@@TheRock_page Very funny
Soon they’ll be releasing live action movies alongside their animated versions. Or just start making animated remakes of live action remakes of animated movies
It’s the rock and Disney which means automatic box office bomb
like everything live action from Disney cause the company doesn't learn it's lesson
Dwayne: "Is Daddy, Maui? "
The girls:"No! "
Dwayne:"Want ice cream? "

Dwayne:"Then , is Daddy Maui? "

@@righteousrawb7225 SSSHH!?? No way!!
Disney is running out of ideas fr
STOP REMAKING ANIMATED MOVIES THE ANIMATION IS WHAT MADE IT SPECIAL. make a Moana 2 if you're SO eager to bring back these characters oh my GOD
and so they did...
Also pointless race swapping; under the supposed banner of "progress".
Disney is screaming about progress, yet they turn around and got rid of the melanin in Nani and David anyways.

The original cast is returning, so she’ll definitely be back
@@arthur_here2741 The original cast? Only Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho.
Most polynesian girls aren't as fair-skinned as Auli'i

I would rather have a sequel then a live action remake but I mean I have some kind of hope for this film I mean especially if the rock wants to reprise his role
Just please, stop. I've never seen anyone asking for live action movies. Those animated movies are great and magic of animation makes them far more superior than any live action movie can be!
I think they wanted to catch the rock in his prime so that he can create his character. But it is way too early as it just came out and the movie is perfect. I would rather have a sequel
Would love to see it, I’m sure they’re taking advantage of the fact that the Rock is alive and Auli’l is still young lol
@@stellangios she is supposed to be a executive producer of the movie and I think she is reprising her role as Moana
That’s fair I hadn’t thought of it that way, it seemed early for a remake but not that does make sense
The opportunity to have the same or similar cast is so cool! Possibly why they aren't waiting 20 years...
Gotta be the quickest turnaround from animation to live action
Omg this is amazing! I have waited decades (7 years) for everyone’s favorite princess movie to get a live action remake and totally flop. Good job Disney for more original movies 👏👏👏
Damn I can't believe you waited that many decades!
Look I’m as big a fan of Moana as anybody but with that said it’s too soon for a life action reimagining. I would love to get an animated sequel though.
It could be a live-action sequel.
I think they should include the real actress that voiced themselves i would love to see that
I feel like this will happen!
A remake based on a Movie that isn't a classic yet, Is this how low you're going Disney 💀
If the Rock is coming back, then I’m in.
Me and niece love moana and maui and sometimes people that say my niece looks like baby moana and she does. IT'S MAUI TIME CHEEEEHOOOOUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why? Moana doesn't need a remake.
