My brother just junked a 18/6 4 days ago that needed some WORK but I he guy said it ran when he parked it in the lean too and then the wind took it down !
This was before they were being reproduced. The fuel pump body at the time was going for around $50-60 and for me it was free to get it running that way
Yup! This has been the best deal yet! I can't believe I actually own this tractor, I'm hoping I can get my 73 ss16 running as good as this one so I can save this one.
All I can say is sit back on the couch at night and surf the web and before you know it they are practically falling into your lap. Okay that was my luck lol!
@@71_sears97 bought mine and live in the panhandle of West Virginia. Got a oil leak coming from somewhere noticed when I was pressure washing at all. Owner complained about needing to replace fuel pump vacuum issues? He told me to put a electric fuel pump on it to fix the problem? Any thoughts? Any forums I can join that would help?
Tom R if you are on Facebook, the best place is the Sears Suburban Backyard Tractor Club. Great group of knowledgeable people. I’d check to see if your rubber lines are in good shape and replace if they are hard or cracking. Personally I’d rebuild the fuel pump, most electric pumps (besides being loud) flow way too much fuel and end up flooding the engine out bad
@@71_sears97 I'll have the Mrs make me up a Facebook. Planning on a fully going over every inch of this tractor. Considering a repaint ,but I'd rather see it roper colors than that ugly mustard . Thanks your your input
Tom R if the paint is still in nice shape on yours, it would be a shame to paint it because finding nice original tractors are quite hard to find these days. I only collect nice condition ones and rare ones. They are far and few between
I had mine for 10 years. Had plow-disk-48 inch sickle bar mower and mower deck and home made snow blade. best tractor I ever had.

What is that thing by the Battery that has fins on it?
Purrs like a kitten!
You could’ve had gotten a new pump on ebay

I have some pictures on Facebook of it when I first got it I'll tag you in the album. Looking forward to seeing those two see the light of day!
I'll try and dig them out this year maybe be more fixing this year than painting
Wow Danimal that is an amazing score! Great job on the fuel pump fix too.
Thanks bud! I'm really happy with this one!
that thing is mint nice score i have been looking for a reply good one just haven't found one yet lol you should put some aggs on ti
No ags for such an original tractor! Maybe on another tractor once I decide whether to put my money on tires or more tractors lol!
Wow that is a really nice tractor. I would love to have one that nice one day hahahah
You definitely don't find them in this good of shape everyday! That makes 3 very nice originals now, the 69 Sub 12, 71 SS14, and now the SS16.
71_Sears you got some luck

It's about 4 years since you published this video and here I am looking at it. I hope you still have it and it has a place indoors to stay.
