It's the same lawsuits. The UFC and USADA have been stalling and stonewalling for years. That's what large corporations with unlimited funds do. Mark Hunt was totally in the right. The UFC should have settled with him years ago and just given him a few million dollars. 1. It would have been the right thing to do and 2. It probably would have saved them money in high powered lawyers and court costs anyway. Mark Hunt was totally in the right, he just had corrupt and/or stupid lawyers
Mark Hunt and a few others like Nick Diaz were the few who were clean while fighting in Pride. There's a reason that Nick Diaz has always said "everybody's on steroids!"
It wasn't a bad case, just a bad argument. Had he argued the negligence of allowing it to go further rather than the conspiracy route, he would likely be holding a W.
That is 100% false. The tort of negligence requires that the plaintiff suffer harm and the defendant is the proximate cause of that harm. If Hunt was seriously injured MAYBE that would be plausible, but that did not happen, and the idea that he suffered economic damages as a result of that match (what Hunt claimed in court) is insane.
@@Shneebly They are by not alerting him of the failed test, which can result in a detriment to his future both medically, and career wise. And you're incompetent if you don't think the potential risks, damage, and unfair advantages of fighting a Roid user, as well as the stagnation of his win streak doesn't hurt his career, especially when it's potentially his last run at a title due to his age.

Yea but why did they not test brock the months leading up to fight? Ooo because they gave him a pass then to test day of. Brock knew. Ufc didnt but they aided in the USADA exemption that lead up to only testing day of fight or before fight
The UFC and USADA knew Brock was dirty. On the night of the fight they already had the results from one of Brock's samples and Brock was dirty. The UFC and USADA let the fight happen and didn't even tell Mark Hunt about it until months after the fight. Mark Hunt should have won his lawsuits, he just had bad lawyers.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but if Hunt turned the fight down last minute, he’d not have been paid. Which then puts him at risk of not getting another fight and not getting paid til god knows when. So what I’m getting at…. was his argument about feeling pressured to fight because he needed the money? Fight and get paid or don’t fight and risk getting cut from the organisation?
No, Mark Hunt was always a clean fighter. The UFC brought USADA in to give the illusion of testing to make sure everyone was clean like Mark. The night of the fight, the UFC and USADA had the results back from one of Brock Lesnar's samples and it was dirty. They knew, Mark didn't. They not only allowed the fight to happen, but didn't even tell Mark about Brock Lesnar's dirty results *_until months after the fight_* . In this case Mark Hunt was totally in the right and he only lost because he had corrupt and/or stupid lawyers.
The fairground analogy was bullshit Uncle Chael, with respect. A fairground suggests he chose voluntarily to still do something for fun after seeing the ride. He chose to do it as it is his place of work and the way he makes money to feed his family. He HAS to fight to get his payment.
Nope they waivesd testing for lesser before. Because they knew lesser was pumped, mark got his neck brocken, internal organs busted, just look at the fight, they knowing knew he was pumped
Lawsuit had no legs and also, the testing scenario was rigged as hell. No testing pool, he should be tested every other day the two weeks leading up to the fight.
Taking a pro bono against the ufc would definitely be harmful to your long term health. But as a matter of law the athletic commission has probably occupied all subject matter jurisdiction. I know the major sports organizations all have their own internal arbitration procedures (in the pockets of the organizations of course)
Mark just wasted a lot of cash on this one. He knew Brock was on the juice. We knew Brock was on the juice, brock knew Brock was on the juice, and Dana knew Brock was on the juice. Yet Mark still took the pay packet. Mark should have asked for equal pay and not worried about it, nothing was going to change. You can't step in and play your part and then carry on once you lose.
How is this a terrible case. It's known they tried to silence the REAL NEWS about Nate Diaz testing positive. Nate wasn't going for it. I'm sure they did the same with Brock.
The lawyer is also an idiot, because he/she also based everything off of a Conspiracy angle, which is extremely hard to prove. The lawsuit should have been based off of negligence and employer/employee regulations. The UFC and USADA were clearly in the wrong, it took a moron of a lawyer to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. Or the lawyer could be corrupt and taken a bunch of money in order to throw the case. I've seen that first hand where corruption costed a friend of mine millions. Mark lives in Australia and the lawsuits were in the US, so it would be easy for the lawyer to get away with some shady shit or just be incompetent
Dont bite the hand that feeds you. Also I love Mark Hunt as a fighter but he's also not a man or honor. He said before he took the fight that he knew Brock was on steroids and that he didn't care. It would have been different if he didn't say that.
The court cases uncovered the fact that the UFC and USADA had the test results back from one of Brock's samples and he had tested dirty. The UFC and USADA are totally in the wrong and Mark Hunt should have won his lawsuits, he just had horrible (or corrupt?) lawyers.
I've been a UFC fan literally since UFC 1 that I watched on VHS tapes that I rented from Blockbuster. The UFC only has USADA around to give them plausible deniability. USADA is shady as hell. Chito Vera was right when he said that they are easy to trick and worst case you can just pay them $20k to bribe them. USADA occasionally "busts" fighters for tainted supplements, but never for outright steroids or EPO. Even with Izzy growing boobs he somehow tests clean. But by "busting" guys for trivial tainted supplements, they fool the average casual into thinking that USADA is tough and they are all over it. It's bullshit. It's bullshit that they not only got away with screwing guys like Mark Hunt and Nick Diaz with his suspension and fines, and the newer fans just let it slide. Yeah I'm a big mark hunt fan but he's milking this a bit
I mean nate popped, threatened to not fight masvidal, and then was instantly cleared. Also Chael says he doesnt drink but hes WASTED in this vid
[ISN'T IT INTERESTING that Hunt competed in Pride, a place that for the most part DID NOT DRUG TEST?]
Mark Hunt and a few others like Nick Diaz were the few who were clean while fighting in Pride. There's a reason that Nick Diaz has always said "everybody's on steroids!"
To be honest, that sounds like something Dana would do. The Brock era was crazy. I could see him doing that for Connor back in the day also..
Did he just say Mar Khunt?
No, Chael said "Gar Hut"!
Terrible thing to do. But probably super lucrative. Ultimately you don’t want every sore loser to file a lawsuit
Mar KHunt hope it was worth every penny. Let it go.
Mark deserved better treatment he got fuck over and he lives in Australia mate. 🇦🇺 and we love him for being a man of integrity and honour. 🇦🇺👍🥋
The damage to his career alone is substantial and you have no idea what long term damage the fight may have caused which may have been due to the advantages given by roid use.
And you're incompetent if you don't think the potential risks, damage, and unfair advantages of fighting a Roid user, as well as the stagnation of his win streak doesn't hurt his career, especially when it's potentially his last run at a title due to his age.
"if a birthing person aborts a transgender fetus is that a hate crime?" - chael sonnen
Let’s just allow anyone popular to fight without the 6 month USADA standard. Conor take anything you want.
Yeah, kind of been that way a long time. All pro athletes are on gear. Welcome to the adult world.
"John didn't know he took it...." I would bet all I had that he knew exactly what he's doing. JJ will do ANYTHING for the win. Literally. He gives zero fcks.
Brock popped for Clomid? I forgot about that. That’s a bummer getting caught for Clomid that’s worse than Jon popping for Turinabol.
I don’t even know if Clomid is still used now, I haven’t taken it for a long time.
TRT clinics are giving clomid out like candy these days haha still pretty popular
@@RonniePTexanwhat’s the evidence they knew
Agreed, we all knew Brock was juicy before the contract was signed. Mark included.
Hunt might have been right…spirituality. But give it up dude! Sorry! You knew dude was dirty and chose to fight him! Lost and lawsuits are not valid
I kind of feel the same way
No, Mark Hunt was always a clean fighter.

Chael you should be one a judge
PED'S are as common as water in all elite athletics but regular people will always clutch their pearls when the topic comes up.
u the man hunt good on yur achievements in the past
Nope they waivesd testing for lesser before. Because they knew lesser was pumped, mark got his neck brocken, internal organs busted, just look at the fight, they knowing knew he was pumped
Listening to Chael for legal insight 😂
Fkn amateurs
I recall Hunt saying during the prefight interviews that he would beat Lesnar in spite of the steroids
UFC sideshow slapping contests and pro wrestling. One FC we'll that's where it's at.
I wanna take a breathe for chael
How is this a terrible case. It's known they tried to silence the REAL NEWS about Nate Diaz testing positive. Nate wasn't going for it. I'm sure they did the same with Brock.
Chael’s legal journal content.
Chael is a genius
I love Chael’s talks about roids.
Chael Sonnens voice is super different now? What happened? Am I missing something.
thinking the same thing
New camera angle is closer to him so maybe it changes his voice
Talking a lot, age or sick
A need Chael. Like all celebrities
Seems like Chael either gained weight or he’s on Botox 😂😂
This been going for at least 10 years at least he must be getting milked by the lawyer
Typically it's a pro bono deal up front with backend percent for attorney if win.
Chael is right quite often. Mark got taken for a ride.
Dont bite the hand that feeds you. Also I love Mark Hunt as a fighter but he's also not a man or honor. He said before he took the fight that he knew Brock was on steroids and that he didn't care. It would have been different if he didn't say that.
Love Mark Hunt but it's been 7 years, you gotta move on at some point
No, Mark Hunt should continue to sue the UFC and Dana White until he wins!
@@roythousand13 I'm rooting for him
pretty sure it just went on this long cause he didnt want to pay
Marks cousin Fischic Hunt is to blame. His uncle Smelic Hunt aswell
Somehow Jones positive test came in prior to fight night but not Lesnars? Bullshit.
Nick Diaz was right "everyone is on steroids around here"
@@RonniePTexan I'm with you time wise. I thought Pat Smith was taking UFC 1 when I watched it live
Black boxes were a beautiful thing.
@@jamescourt5201 I got a black box in the mid/late 90s so I was able to watch later UFCs, Pride(where I first became a fan of Mark Hunt and Nick Diaz etc)and Pancrase without having to go rent them at Blockbuster! I had forgotten about them black boxes! For a while I also had an emulator that plugged into the DirectTV card slot and got a bunch of stuff there too.
It's cool to see that I'm not the only Old School guy in the comments section. Too many of these new casuals are siding with the UFC and USADA against Mark Hunt on this case. A lot of these morons are even saying "Mark should let it go" or "he's holding a grudge" when it's been the UFC and USADA that's been stalling this case for years. It's bullshit that they not only got away with screwing guys like Mark Hunt and Nick Diaz with his suspension and fines, and the newer fans just let it slide. The UFC should have done the right thing years ago, settled with Mark for a few million dollars, and probably saved themselves millions in high powered lawyers. Instead they bled Mark dry and dragged it out for no reason. I *_still_* have a bad taste in my mouth over what they did to Nick Diaz and this is just making me want to just say to hell with it and start following ONE, BKFC, PFL, UFL etc and not even watching the UFC any more. Mark Hunt was 100% in the right and the UFC and USADA were 100% in the wrong.
Chael are you ok?
What about Mark's brother Mike Hunt?
Sad 😞
Looks like chael’s retaining some water
Is Chael’s face always this red??
Knife to a gun fight, you can't win against lawyers like that
Hey guys I just got my first blumpkin last night show some ❤
👇
Ufc has known all along that its fighters are juiced to the gills.
If they couldn't get a result by Saturday, what's the point of taking the test on a Thursday?.
Chael has such a shade of red face for this one and not sure why
He sounds sick
Drinking
Chael saying Jon couldn't get that steroid if he tried is absolute nonsense.. Anyone can get that steroid easy all day
Mark Hunt just needs to move on.
@population-_-420 financially it's starting to catch up with him.
@@davidbell4626you’re basically saying that you’re okay with someone getting away with illegal activities if they have enough $
Weird.

@@Adizzle235 the famous words of Donald Trump, "its all rigged, how I know, because I've used it ". Mark has to get them (ufc) back another way. Just be happy, healthy and good.
@@Adizzle235that's what our entire legal system is built around luckily we have propaganda to make the majority believe in "justice".
Am I the only one noticing something funny about Chael in this video?? Hmmmmm
The UFC’s actions allowing a juiced heavyweight to fight the day after pissing dirty for roids, are as gross as our country’s pay to play justice system.
Not even close as gross.
Wasn't Brock out of the pool thus needing to be clean fir six months
If anyone has a legitimate grievance against the UFC it's Mark. It's insane that they did him that dirty.
Mark's next case - suing his attorney.
didnt the class action lawsuit go threw a month ago in favour of the 1200 fighters, unless i missed something that happen this week?
Yes, quite heavily. The UFC won this one, but the other one has a long way to go.
I love Mark but at the end of the day he accepted the fight.
We all know mark hunt is in the right regardless of the courts opinion.
Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar and Connor Mcgregor (if he fights again) are allowed to take steroids because they sell tickets.
Is Mark Hunt the worst fighter that ever stepped inside the octagon? Let me know it the comments.
I can’t see Uncle Chaels shoes….move the chair back UC.
In the Olympics when someone is caught out as a drug cheat the Gold medal goes to second place. Mark should have been declared the winner & none of this would have happened. It's a big problem that UFC can turn a blind eye to many things over the years for $$$.
