I see the NewsNine blue background knowing that it's been about 7 months since it became known as The Nine O'Clock News. Overall, another great find and I had an awesome b-day this week.

The opening music heard as the news crews were being introed was called "Action News" composed by Bob Sakayama. It was used by WPIX in New York for their commercial breaks (and apparently WGN-TV) during the era of Action News as well as on Independent Network News. Ironically, PIX11 during that era, used "Move Closer to Your World" as their theme song, most associated with Philly's market leader, ABC O&O WPVI-TV. According to the News Music Search Archive, another station used Bob Sakyama's "Action News", KMSP Minneapolis/St. Paul.
AND...INN's theme song according to News Music Search Archive, was a production music track: "Industrial Power" composed by Johnny Pearson. A few other small market stations back in the day used that.

@@wmbrown6 Yes, and that's when they used that music (circa 1981-1983). I used to hear it in my dreams if I watched it that night.

50:55 the White Sox did get Ron LeFlore and was with the Sox for 2 seasons.
51:10 Dave Winfield as predicted didn't go to the Cubs. He got a big money contract with the Yankees, but he never brought a title to the Bronx when he was there

@@zxccxz164- It hasn't transmitted pictures for over 30 years. The last one is known as the "Pale Blue Dot" looking back at Earth from it's long distance away.
And those that it took before that weren't "fake". Nor were the ones by Voyager 2.
