@@JasonWW2000Right! After amp sensitivity dropping at 8hz and box rise up from .7 per coil and what not. Those subs probably only getting maybe 1000 w per coil if lucky below 8hz.
@@LetsgetlowDo you think those subs are dual one ohm coils? If so, it could be a lot more than a 1000 watts. It may not be 8000, but it could certainly be 3000 or 4000 watts at certain frequencies. He did say the low end section of that 6th order was tuned to around 10 hertz so the impedance is going to be quite low around that frequency.
@@LetsgetlowDo you mean 0.7 nominal or by measuring with a multimeter (the Re)? A lot of people get those mixed up. Typically, a one ohm nominal voice coil will measure 0.7 on a dmm. That would be a very odd nominal impedance, so I just wanted to make sure I understood what you're saying.

Just like looking at the sun doesn't hurt your eyes but you will go blind doing it. At those sound pressure levels oh there is most def damage being done over and over.
