- Bride-to-be Lama is getting married to her Spanish fiancé in Madrid in a month, and she already has two wedding dresses, which she just doesn't love. As a 50-year-old woman, she faced a lot of criticism for getting married so "late". She wants her dress to be perfect, to show all the haters that you can get married, no matter your age.

She was concerned with the off the shoulder dress (which I thought was very flattering) showing too much skin, but then chose a dress with a see thru bodice? Am I missing something?
The same thing I’m missing. I really dislike that look, in which the boobs are lined, but the rest of the top is not. Looks too much like lingerie, or unfinished.
I thought the off the shoulder dress was the most flattering. Reminded me of Scarlett O’Hara.

I definitely wouldn't see the guy consultant. He wasn't listening to her at all and told her very hatefully no, she could not cover a little more if she wanted to. He was a jerk & not at all accommodating like he should be.

A small insert of lace or nude mesh could easily be added to the neckline to make it just a little more modest, not that difficult

Yeah he did that with another girl whose dad was conservative and herdress had a mermaid slit. He loves the sexy revealing look and forces his clients to embrace it.

The first wedding dress the Bride tried on was my favorite. It looked GORGEOUS!🌹 I was hoping she'd choose it. Unfortunate that she didn't want to show it to her entourage! Beautiful Bride, I wish her Congratulations! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

It really annoys me when they say the bride is picky. She’s there to find a dress she loves.

The only criticism, and it's not even about the dress: the subtitles are a tad too small to see, I wish the font was bigger

A person is entitled to wear anything they want on their wedding day. It is not about the cost or style but how comfortable or confident a person feels.
I agree with her. Take your time, don't rush into marriage or into choosing a dress.
But she’s doing both. She’s marrying less than a year and this’ll her third dress.
2nd one gave her a lovely shape. It's strange she felt exposed in it but chose the dress with her back out
It's not strange, everyone has different comfort levels and that one just didn't suit her taste.
it's not the back. she said she wants to cover more of her chest area but choose one that expose her cleavage even more and her breasts look squished from the side. (well, i hope they will alter it so it will fit better to her breasts).

Spain has some terrific wedding gown designers. She might have done better in that country.

This is because we’re so ethnocentric in this country. Most immigrants and their children speak at least two languages. One would think it’s a necessity if one moves to a country with a different language. But I wonder how many ex-pats learn the language of their new country. I mean fluently, not just “where’s the bathroom?”.
Yes, I know this is going to hit a nerve. And no, I don’t know any other language than English. Smattering of Spanish, Yiddish, and Japanese, though.
@@HeronCoyote1234 Well, I speak 14 languages as a senior in high school, and am neither American, nor a native speaker of English. However, it's fairly unnecessary to ridicule yourself and your people for not knowing enough languages. There is no reason why anybody should invest time, effort, and money into learning a language that doesn't enhance their lives by any significant measure. I only know these languages because I've grown up in both India (where close to 179 languages are spoken), and the Middle East. I also hope to study in the US in the near future and learning these languages is from my end, a small token of respect to the new lands that sustain me, a sense of accountability to the comfort of the natives of that country, and a powerful utility for meaningful expression. If all of those requirements have already been met, as in the case of English speakers in an English country, why must anybody be seen as inferior for not knowing a second language?
@@aashna2465 I’m impressed! And you write (and speak) beautifully! It’s not the need to speak another language that bothers me about Americans. It’s that we feel the entire world must learn English, but we don’t have to learn any other languages. It’s the sense of entitlement that makes me crazy. We’ve always forced others to learn and speak English (as any Native American will tell you from their ancestors).
In my younger years, I studied Hebrew (six years to be bas mitzvah’d), and started to learn Japanese (always an interest of mine), and Russian (my grandparents came from Russia and Ukraine).
I think geography has much to do with why the rest of the world has to learn several different languages. Each country, small as they are compared to the US, speaks a different language. Same with larger countries such as India and China, and different dialects. Unless you never plan on going out of your country, it’s in your best interest to learn the language of any neighboring countries. And more than just “dónde está el baño?” (Two years of Spanish…😔).

Didn’t like any of them on her she needed more of a fit n flair gown I think and not a ball gown as it did not flatter her shape.

I’m not a fan of see-thru bodices. Looks too racey, too revealing. A bride can look curvy and demure with a solid bodice.

The 1st dress was beautiful on her. She would not walk out in said it was too much to move around in . The second dress she said was to much skin showing. The dress she chooses was a combination of the first two. The top was see through and the bottom was full with train. I guess it's what you are comfortable in.
Finally a Lebanese bride 😍 I wish the appointment was more Lebanese somehow. It didn't reveal much of her pickiness!

Loved the arabic version, the casting of the brides, storylines and consultants is perfect except for Khalil Zain, he wasn’t the right person for the show. He is a sweet person but doesn’t know how to deal with a TV show format. He doesn’t know the appropriate vocabularies for the show. Whats the right thing to say, how and when to say it. He lacks the sense of humor and witty personality the show needs for a host. He either gets intense training on how to develop a TV host personality as a stylist or get replaced by another fashion expert who would take the show to the international level that the franchise achieved with the other versions.
