I hope viewers realize how special this episode is to have Hiro and Martin together. Two amazing chefs both at the top of their game. Thank you!
Fan of both great humble chefs 💜
I love Martin Yan!
We used to watch his cooking show all the time when I was a kid! So many fond memories! I’m glad to see he’s as lively as ever, and still loves his woks! 🥰
I used to watch Yan Can Cook on PBS Public Television & KQED back in the 80s. Been over 35 years. Martin Yan is a legend.
Today TV chefs are all about them. Martin Yan is all about you and teaching you how to cook.
Talk about a culinary dream team! I grew up watching Yan Can Cook and I credit him for my knife skills!
Martin's passion for cooking is the best
A video series based on the adventures of the two Master Chefs would be awesome.
So happy to see two master chefs healthy and walking around. God bless you guys, I have learnt alot from your people's videos over the years.
Love from South Africa
HOLY CRAP. Chef Martin Yan is 73 years old????!! Looks great for that age.
I bought my first carbon steel wok at that exact Wok Shop over 35 years ago!
Is it still working?
@@sam-dz4sj , I still have it, and I am able to use it. Unfortunately, I currently live in a house with an electric range, so I had to downgrade to a flat-bottomed model. 唉!
@@missmaam792 I see
Omg yan can cook. Thank you so much for this episode!!!
Thank you Hiro & Chef Yan for taking us on a tour. I knew from my traveling the oldest Chinatown in the world is in the Philippines from the 1500s. I thought the oldest one in the United States was in New York. Never knew it was San Francisco first 👍🏻 see I learned something new everyday. Good video.

This is where I got mine. Thank you Martin Yan 🙏.
I met Martin Yan when we did a cooking demo show with him & our class at the PBS station in Redding, CA at Shasta College e back in 2001 when I was taking Culinary classes.

This was totally awesome! I hope you and your cameraman, Charles, have a good afternoon. Cheers, Chef Hiro!
Martin is a gem. He has helped Asians by bringing the world of Asian cuisine to the masses.

Love that place. Been shopping there since the 80’s. Pre-Covid, I just recently bought a handmade stone flour mill there. Keep up the fun collaborative vids.👍

Chef Yan said that Hiro is very famous and has 2 millions subscribers on his channel, that's why he brings and show him around the stores.
Matin Yan,
do you remember Kwong Hang Import-export store in the 1960s? My father was Kim Tse Louie-the manager from 1948 to 1983. Kwong Hang closed in 1983. They sold woks to the Wok Shop during the 1970s-82. I think my father sold your first cook book.
I would of bought that hand made one also nice choice, Hiro !
Chef Martin Yen hasn't lost his humour. That's good
It's like listening to a living legend
Damn dude! I was working in an office just down the street off of Stockton Street up to the holiday. Shout out to _New Golden Daisy_ and _Good Mong Kok Bakery!_
Yan is still entertaining, he still have the same energy.
Good Afternoon!
I waiting to see if Hiro and Martin Yen would walk of one those shops with a Mogwai!
Oh, yeah!
Mr. Yan has all the dad jokes xD
I grew up watching Yan can cook. I'm amazed at what he can cut with a meat cleaver.
I have several woks from The Wok Shop.

dear my friend
hank you for sharing
Are you going to visit the folks at Knife Merchant while out in CA?
Might as well just move to CA now.
Master Hiroyuki should visit "Liberdade" (means Freedom) the japanese neighborhood here in São Paulo, Brazil.
Take a Wok on the wild side. 😁
12:35 jaywalking like bosses lol
nice intro plus sifu is coming out soon.
Wait. Has Hiro-san never been to SF Japantown? Or San Jose Japantown? Please visit そんのふたつのところ, Hiro-san!!
good mornin
Here we go Chef Martin the most Californian Asian dude ever.
Martin yan sounds condescending. Old chinese vs Japanese fued. I remember OLD kungfu movies where theyd ask a stranger “are you Japanese?”. Every yan encounter seems like yan is trying to do one up on Hiro. Grew up with yan on pbs though
Wow
Not only in your kitchen studio but enjoy to watch China Town in San Francisco.
Great clip! Thank you. However - I guess 90% of your American viewers will now think Hiro is from China. :)
Boy did he wok that joke (pun) right off the cliff and deep into the ground.
Perhaps Japan and China should hire Hiro and Martin to be their foreign ambassadors. Friendly discussions
Who's that older lady that sold the wok's for all her life. Let her talk more, she seemed so sweet! Don't talk over her dude!
Martin talks like he is on energy pills lol
😂🤣 Nice intro
hiiiii HIRO SAN, HIRRRROOO SANNN HUGS
To many wok puns for my liking 🤣😂
Actually the oldest Chinatown in the world is in Manila Philippines.
So cute 😎😻 enter the dragon return of the 🐉🐲 wOW
I doubt the 1 million work sold in 50 years.. that means 50 wok sold every day (7 days a week).. which seems a bit unlealistic..
First
congratulations 🎊
Chef Yan needs to cut back on the botox! 🤣 He looks same age as when I watched him 20 years ago!
Yan can cook but he can’t shut his mouth for a man to get a word in edgewise.
Yan talks out of his ass when he tries to pump Hiro's tires! lol it doesn't sound genuine and it's so fake.
🔥 👨🏽🍳 OG Chef Yan! 🤘🏽 🔥
