Grey colours are actually one of my worst colours. Like somehow summer colours look worse on me. Muted and light colours are my worst
I improved my hair by doing these: Including more and more vitaminC from lemon, orange, kiwi, 7-8 hrs of enough sleep daily, consume nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or peanuts in limited, you can also eat fish like sardines, salmon. Exercise at least 20 - 30 mins everyday. Using natural oil, neem wood comb, scalp massager by liitleextra coconion two times a week. This is good for hair fall control.
I never knew why I loved wine red and dark purples and rich Forrest greens so much. I never knew why blonde washed my skin out so badly. And I never realized how poorly matched pastels made me look really pale. I realized I’m a dark autumn and it makes so much sense now!!! But I will still always wear black 😉 even if I can get away with it but it won’t look as good as a warm or muted black which I also like to wear. And I still wear all shades of white. But it makes so much sense now! I’m very neutral in the winter but I figured out I am slightly warm and learning this has totally enhanced my style!

Try on and take a picture of yourself in a bright white shirt and a more creamy ivory color shirt. See what color you look best in. Your skin should glow more and you should in general look more harmonious in one over the other. If the white is better, you’re likely a dark winter, the ivory- dark autumn

The main difference between a dark winter and a dark autumn is the skin undertone! I have a video on how to figure it out it’s called skin undertone 101.

Sometimes eye color is the most distinguishing feature. If your eye color is very clear and saturated - e.g. bright pure blue, or true black, then you’re probably the dark winter. If your eyes are less saturated - e.g. grey blue or hazel, or obviously warm, such as golden brown, then you’re more likely the dark Autumn. Another test I find pretty accurate is to put on lots of coppery bronzer and a coral blush - if you’re an Autumn it will look amazing, if you’re a Winter it will look terrible.

I’m a deep/dark autumn and one of the rare ones that has blue eyes. My undertones are peach not yellow or pink. My best colors are rich jewel tones. I can only pull off lightened colors if they are still warm and rich and I have a good tan and my hair has been lightened by the sun some.
i keep getting dark autumn in self analysis guides, but my eyes aren’t dark…now i’m not sure 😅
My eyes are a light golden brown,they aren't dark either. But I think if your eyes are a light medium or dark colour and they look slightly warm-ish or at least look warm-ish in the sun or have warm flecks in them.... then you have "autumn" eyes

It’s a common misconception that redheads can’t be cool. I’ve only seen a few color specialist cover cool redheads. My mom is redhead. When she chemically straightens her hair, it turns dark auburn. It doesn’t look great bc she’s super warm and it makes her look dull.Some color analysis blogs say dark auburn hair looks better on neutral cool skin tones.
do not let your features deceive you. even if your features are 'objectively' warm and muted, if bright winter colors lift you up then you are a bright winter. it's about the bigger picture
I used to think i was summer because i have something neutral on my skintone but i think dark autumn is the more accurate for me because i also have warm undertone. That's why gold and rosegold are perfect for me!

I'm confused if I'm a dark autumn or dark winter cause my skin seems warm but browns look awful on me 😬
I am definitely not sure, but from what I have been looking, if you have yellowish skin, it matches better winter (as supposedly if you just put warmer tones on yellow it would only make you look more yellow) while dark autumn would mean your skin is more grayish...
I also feel like I am a dark autumn but I just dislike warm browns and mustard yellows, but except for these colors (which idk if it's just that I dislike or if it actually looks bad) all the other colors like reds, blues, olive and even aubergine (which is the only purple colors I look good in) actually matches what I think I look good in...
I also wear a lot of black+white+blues which would be winter tones, it's not the best but it doesn't look bad also (maybe because dark winter is very close to dark autumn)
From what I can see your skin does have a golden undertone and your hair is red so you are obviously a warm season but are you sure that you are Autumn but not spring? cause you have the qualities for a spring just right.
You might be a Spring.
Then you're probably olive. Cooler colors may look better on you. Try deep winter.
@@NathyIsabella some winters can have yellowish skin, and that's probably why Mikaela is not answering me right now. Winters are cool, but not too cool. Summer seasons have very cool undertones
if i look at the eye and hair colours i think I'm dark autumn but if i go by the definition of hue, value and croma i feel like i'm a True autumn i'm a mess😵😵
It's ok, you're still an autumn. Autumn colors will look good on you - some better than others. 😊
If you have fairer skin and therefore high contrast then likely the Dark Autumn colors will suit you better. Take a photo of yourself and edit it to black and white and see whether you have high or low contrast. Contrast can actually be difficult to figure out without using a black and white photo and it makes a big difference as to which “sub season” really fits you. I actually think that getting the darkness/lightness of clothing right is more important than getting the color right. If you are a high contrast individual, for example, and you wear a very light shade of a color that would otherwise suit you, it can really drain you, much worse than wearing a dark rich shade of a color that’s not really one of your colors. I wish people talked about contrast more.
@@lenavoyles526 thanks for the tip abt contrast. I'm a POC and my skintone is similar to that of J Lopez (a true autumn). Due to my browner skin, there's not much contrast w/ my dark hair = so I'm a true autumn, which is good cos I like the TA palette more (but I can wear some DA colors, but not the very dark ones). In recent months, I've learned to like mustard yellow - used to dislike it, until I found out that it looks good on my autumn features. Cheers!
Is it just me or do Dark Winters who have lighter skin tend to have lighter skin compared to lighter skinned Dark Autumns ? 😅
winters in general are more high contrast than dark autumn. even if DA is high contrast, they still retain some softness of autumn, hence the lightest DA skintone is darker than the lightest DW skintone

I have done several tests and they all come out differently, at first I thought it was soft autumn,Then I thought it was bright spring, and then dark autumn, I have dark hair and eyes, high contrast, I'm neutral warm, and dark colors don't look good on me :(

Those olive eyes look exactly like mine but without the added grey thst i have in mine. Yes I'm dark autumn with dark golden brown hair and light golden olive skin. Why is it many people are using the 16 colour seasons and no one explaining these ? Im soft autumn deep in the 16 colour season system ehich explains me better. Im just like DA but with a little less intensity.

I got professionally in person color matched as a dark autumn even though I have naturally dirty blonde hair with blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. I definitely think it fits but never would have guessed. Anyone else like this?

I'd argue your skintone is more important than hair and eyes. You also have to remember this color theory is sooo geared for white people. So many people of color, specially Asian, will have eyes and hair that may type cast them as warm even though they're cool or other types in general.
For example, I thought I was a soft autumn forever (I wish I was bc makeup is geared for warm tones), but I came to learn I was a soft summer. Warm tones, especially colors a soft summer can't borrow, would make me look sweaty, tired, and off. Once I got into muted cool tones, I looked fresher and in harmony. It's still hard for me to come into terms with.
I suggest experimenting and always comparing your skin complexion to those around you. For example, my mother is warm that when I put my skin next to hers, the pinkness in me screams that I can't deny it. I look sooo muted next to her too, makes me feel dead.
Can a deep autumn have blue eyes? I relate most to the deep autum season with dark brown/copper hair, warm feature and what I assume is high contrast with quite prominent eyebrows/eyes... but my eyes are blue, not clear blue and people tend to assume they´re not blue, but still clearly blue... How does that measure in? :)
You don't have to match 100% of the description of a season to be that season.

I have been analyzed as a deep autumn and I have blue eyes (with freckles in them!)
You’re definitely Dark Autumn. Grey-blue or grey eyes would indicate Autumn. Bright clear sparkling blue would indicate Winter. But with your hair and skintone it’s already pretty obvious you’re not a Winter. Dark Autumn can borrow quite a bit from the Winter palette, so a number of the Winter colors might look good on you.
I have black hair, warm to neutral warm honey beige skin tone, and dark brown eyes. I always thought I was a dark autumn with dark chroma but these colors look dull and mundane on me. I’m not sure what I am rn.

There is no Dark Summer. Only Autumns and Winters are dark
Only dark winters and dark Autumns are dark.
If you think you're a Summer, you could be Soft Summer. You CAN have dark hair, but still be a Soft Summer. The only thing though, your dark hair has to be muted I think.
Thanks for mentioning the eyes i am going crazy bc mine are brown in the center but green on the rest of the iris and im like, is it saturated? is it soft? is it dark? After this video i observe it is indeed dark and the rest of the aspects that i already knew but used to put in doubt are there, so finallyyyyyyy. Im a dark autumn apparently

I am having a hard time to determine my seasonal color i am not sure exactly but i cannot tell my veins color so i think i am neutral underskin tone and i have dark brown eyes and i look pale and have dark skin . My hair is also dark brown and yeah i look good on both dark light colors but dark colors look more good than light ones so i guess i come under deep autumn season color

I need advice: I have very pale skin, with warm undertone and dark hair. However, ever since I started dying my hair to light-medium shade of brown everybody compliments my looks and more so after I bleached my eyebrows to match my hair a little more. There's no high contrast on my looks anymore, does that mean I'm still a dark autumn? I also don't really like how the forest and dark brown/burgundy shades look on me.

Hi. If your eyes are more of blue-grey or muddy blue, then you're probably an autumn. If they're a clear blue, then probably a spring.

Most are typed as winters or summers, yes, but there are always exceptions. You can also have dark haired & tanned springs or summers. You'll need draping to confirm. I suggest to watch the draping/ color analysis vids of Jannat Ara (DA) and HeyHershey (DW).

Can you be somewhere between dark autumn and warm autumn? My natural hair is very dark brown, skin is warm and medium-light, eyes are golden brown, but I rock golden-neutral blonde, and I dont intend to change my color too soon. When I was a brunette I would fit in dark autumn, but with blonde hair I am rather warm autumn. Does this mean I am a warm autumn?
I think you can toggle between those 2 seasons. You won't really know until you're analyzed professionally. Until then, just wear warm colors of the autumn type. I'm a TA/DA myself (self-draped & using online tools).

Hi. Try to do draping on yourself. You have warm undertone but you can't be both. Drape yourself in bright (spring) vs muted (autumn) colors: bright yellow vs mustard, bright orange vs rust/ copper, bright tomato red vs carmine or wine red. You must look harmonious. Focus should be on the face, not the cloth. Take pics while draping. Analyse the pics. Good luck!
Not crazy at all. I had the same debate for quite a while. All of the BS about how Autumns have to be “muted” and “ashy” is what leads to the confusion. Your eyes will tell you the difference. Are they a bright, clear saturated color, like bright blue or aqua? If so, you’re a Spring. Or are they a more greyed color, like grey-blue or hazel? If so, you’re an Autumn. Also, if your skin is close to neutral, you’re Dark Autumn, if it’s extremely peachy, you’re Bright Spring.
Meghan Merkle natural color is much more brown than the picture you show.

Brighter colors suit Dark Autumn better than the more muted colors that suit True Autumn. Some Winter colors often suit Dark Autumn.

If they are blue-grey rather than bright blue. Bright blue eyes + warm skintone = Spring.

Hi. Carol Brailey has vids on suggested hair colors for every season. If you're an autumn, it's best not to go too light (like platinum blonde). Go for warm toned colors like dark honey blonde, warm browns or reds. Burgundy is more of a cool color (has purple in it), but if it suited you, then great! There are websites where you can upload your pic to see which hair color suits you - Revlon has it.

I'm pretty sure I'm a dark autumn (slightly golden-warm medium dark hazel hair, dark hazel eyes and pretty fair skin) but my skin tone leans more on the cooler side - my hair and eyes are too warm to be winter though, I'm pretty sure
Hazel eyes are a dead giveaway for Autumn.
