I guess they don't completely copy animations from other games, some of the characters have to be animated to work with certain animations. Like long hair has to be animated to flow in a natural manner when they swing off buildings which is something that is absent from Spider Man's animations. So they'd have to adapt it, right? Clearly it's very similar but it looks like they add a lot more to it. It's also just so early, we barely have any info on what the game is going to be. The only confirmed thing is it's free and we can deduce it'll be a gacha but that hasn't been confirmed and that's all we really know.

Oh yes! I was waiting for this. I love the music and the character designs are pretty cute. I also love the color palette.
Maybe I'm seeing things, but I think I see a tiny bit of FLCL influence.

Using another game's animations is definitely a tough subject. One could argue that there's only so many ways someone can make a "Nier-inspired" sprint and not make it look very goofy, as well as general gliding and climbing animations. But the same argument could be said for the "web-slinging". Personally, I guess I'm not really too bothered by it. If it's that big of a deal, the multi-billion dollar companies can always duke it out in court. It's not like other games haven't stolen (or "borrowed") animations before in the past. If the game is fun, I'll play it. It looks pretty fun at least. If it's too predatory, I will probably stop after hitting "the wall". I'm just glad that it seems like there's competition coming for Genshin in the open-world F2P/mobile market, since competition breeds excellence and Wuthering Waves is not releasing any time soon.

I'm really interested what this game is about, it looks interesting and i love the character designs, so lets hope their future content will just as good looking as this one.

Genshin didn't start anything, people have selective memories about this stuff lol. Very few things in entertainment is original anyway.

It's more than Genshin was the most successful that initially aped another's work.
A lot of negative publicity came about for Genshin because of that - which ended up working in their favour when it came into its own.

It's good but gatcha is louder than the trailer, there's no fkn way this doesn't have gatcha😂

Please don't be gacha. That is my only desire.

It’s a free to play game, so definitely Gacha. I’m hyped for it either way.

Yeeeeah, it's pretty obvious. Means I'm unlikely to play it though.
