    Show Synopsis: "Suits" delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Megan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

      The difference is that while Harvey thought for two days how to get rid of Donna when Paula asked her to fire her , Donna didn't want to hurt Harvey. She wanted to protect Thomas' business and they would only lose one client.
      Harvey's upset was not that Donna had told Thomas but that she had lost faith in him.

      @@effy8774 she helped land him Michael Jordan as a client, she played a key role in ousting Hardman in the first place, she saved him from his old boss at the DA, she protected him and Mike's enormous deception the whole time directly and indirectly, she tried to help him maintain a relationship with Scottie, she pushed him to attend his father's funeral and make amends with his mother, she stopped Harvey from turning himself in during Mike's trial, she even protected him after going to work for Louis.
      No one remembers any of the times she pulled him from the fire. No one remembers her loving and protecting him, even when she could have leveraged her knowledge of his misdeeds against him the way everyone else he worked with did for their own benefit.
      They don't remember that he left her to be fired by Jessica instead of having the courtesy to do it himself, or tried to backhandedly move her to another job to salvage his relationship with the ever-more insecure Paula.
      They remember *her* quitting (while telling him she loved him, and giving him references and courtesy notice), but not that when he wanted to get rid of her he wouldn't even do it to her face.
      They notice only Donna's mistakes because Donna isn't a lawyer and has to ask for outside help, but they don't notice that as many or more people sacrificed to help Harvey, they don't notice that Harvey caused as many or more problems, and they don't notice that Donna's motives were as pure as Harvey's if not moreso.

    The problem with this sacrifice is that it got people who should be disbarred to continue crossing lines. As it was pointed out in the final season a couple of times, the biggest problems at their firm are all because of Harvey!

    Daniel Hardman is a criminal but is not like a "Forstman" level criminal. He made some mistakes yes but if you are kind to him, he does answer back.
    Jessica Pearson and Harvey Specter have targeted him from the moment he became the first Managing Partner. And yes he does not know social skills but his ambitions arguably are the same with Pearson and Harvey. The latter were just shadier than him.

    • @avinwijayaweera8223
      @avinwijayaweera8223 2 роки тому +8

      That’s an unfair portrayal of Jessica. There’s nothing to indicate she didn’t care for Daniel, and she didn’t rat him out when she found out he was embezzling because she thought he was trying to pay for his wife’s treatment. It was only when she found out it was to pay for his mistress that she allowed Harvey to make his move. I’d agree that Harvey was out for Daniel.

    • @KneeJerkReactor
      @KneeJerkReactor 2 роки тому

      @@avinwijayaweera8223 I did not say she hated him. What I said was she targeted him. Big difference.
      In an office setting, you can love a co-worker but still target her. Jessica Pearson was an ambitious, empowered and Independent Lawyer. She said so herself when she promoted Mike as Junior Partner all the things she needed to do "to get a view like that". AND she told Harvey when it was about to beat Mike as an Investment banker that "Not everyone likes the taste of blood". CLEARLY, she indicated that she was part of the majority.
      I am sorry if I offended you. Being empowered like everything else has its pros and cons. It was not easy being the only female. For me, she had to do what needs to be done.

      Donna does create a lot of problems too but I don't see why people have to make everything about gender.
