hey, how you doing? Warm over here in the UK but nice and cool in the studio - in may ways!
Just had time today to nip into the studio and play my electric piano. It's an early 80's Fender Rhodes Stage Mark2 and sounds amazing to me.

When I was 15, in 1973, I convinced my dad that I need an electric piano. He resisted but eventually, I wore him down and ended up with a brand new black Wurli 200 which I still have and love today and continue to maintain.
Later I tried convincing him that I need a Hammond and Leslie but wasn't quite so lucky.🙄
Old bugger🤭 R.I.P dad. You know I'm joking😀
Both the Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes electric pianos have become icons and much imitated just as the Hammond/Leslie sound is.
The Rhodes sounds beautiful, much different to the Wurlitzer but they have both earned their well deserved place.
Treasure your Rhodes as I do my Wurli. ❤️

Thank you so much for dissecting and breaking this song down for us. I do remember this song but quickly revisited the the original recording on UA-cam. Wonderful Rhodes presentation as well.
