Great competition! Our country (Russian Federation) with great difficulty made its way there in the late 80s, early 90s, and now they have closed the way for us again, for 50, or 100 years. It's a shame, but there's nothing to be done. Politic. It's not art.
@@Hexagonna Because it did not want to be subjected to pressure from European countries. Because the so-called Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine is a conflict between Russia and Europe, the USA and Canada. In the year when the UK left the European Union (2020 or 2021, I don't remember exactly), the British performer not only took the last place - he was not given any points at all - "0" points.
As for your point about Embers getting 0 points, countries that aren't in the EU (and are quite Eurosceptic in general, like your own Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, or even EU-hating EU member Poland) also failed to give them any points - what's your excuse here? Did the population there feel so strongly about the UK that they didn't vote for them? Or could it be that they simply sent a song that failed to impress anyone enough to spend money on? And I know it's pointless to offer facts to people like you, because all you want to do is whine, whine, whine about the unfairness of it all without ever bothering to think. Besides, Russia is one of the countries that have benefitted the most from the political nature of the contest - you lot definitely wouldn't have had such good results without the bloc voting.
