Really hope Ozutsu don't get nerfed! They're amazing units, but they're not game ending broken. They're squishy and can only be made from an Imperial landmark...

Hm. I don't see how they are busted. Only on noob ranks maybe where people are bad and don't know how to fight against them. I will give grenadiers as an example. If u use men at arms vs grenadiers u will lose. Some case with this unit. Only difference if that ozutzu are fairly meh on fighting but better vs buildings.

This expansion is so awesome, every game is a learning experience and it’s fun trying to learn optimal builds on your own then comparing it to these content creator guides. My Japan build was extremely close to this.

Unrelated to this match but I forgot you can't chop through walls near a tree line any more since chopped trees cannot be stomped by buildings or walked past
At 2:56 game time (3:25 video time) you move a Villager from Stone to Gold. Is this a part of the build order? I couldn’t find in the audio where you mention it.

Could you explain what the newer buildings are in aoe4 and what they do? Coming from aoc, these buildings are foreign to me!
the Japanese have been my favorite civ since aoe2, then again i’m an absolute weeb so it makes sense.

Same it felt really strange. Every plat player wouldve smashed my cheeks when hed see me go 2nd TC with Japanese.
the chinese was trying to boom also. So not committed to agression.

What are the game settings for a ranked game? I want to practice against the ai
If you click Reset on the game and map settings in the lobby and pick Dry Arabia, you'll get the same environment as in Ranked.

I dont understand why you build a 3rd TC to just put farms around it when you could put them around a house when you were getting close to pop blocked
Because the japanese TC can buff farms
TC provides food gather buff, can put more down, and can garrison for safety. Biggest reason is the food gather buff, that Japanese have under TC.
As a noob of this game what the fuck did I just watch it was cool but still
