We sup the rivers and lakes all the time here in WV of the USA. Coming from a 3 decade plus background in white water kayaking makes it a tad easier. Yall come on over and we will run you down some good stuff.
So strange that my girlfriend and I have been paddle boarding for about 4 years now and have only paddled a few time on anything But a narrow shallow river! So glad you all tried the little rapid. Give me skinny water any day!
It was the choice of a newer board but carry the kit or an old beat up board with no extra kit! What you didn’t see was rach wedging it on the weir the second time we went down it! 😂
The boards have smaller than normal fins attached. The one I was on had 4 small fins and the option for a centre fin which I didn’t put in. The tracking wasn’t great tbh but it didn’t really need to be on this day!
Amazing video. I'm looking at hopefully getting my first isup after years of watching videos. I'd probably end up doing this from Flete estate down the river Erme to Wonwell. I'd also like to try a bit of surfing. I've been looking at the gladiator pro 10'6 and thought what was good value for money. I just wondered if you had any recommendations? Keep up the good work ✌️

Amazing! Yeah we would love to. I’m sure you could teach us a lot about the rivers too!

Happy paddling

Super adventure. I try it too!
Nice. I hope you enjoy it!
That looks like ace fun! Did you take the fins off the boards to atop them getting trashed?

where was it where you got on-off?
We parked at plymbridge and walked up river from there. Check it out on geosup.

Nice. You can’t go too far wrong with an all round 10’6 board. Hopefully see you on the water soon!
like harry said, 10'6 is a good board size and the Gladiator Pro was a nice well made range of board when we tested them. Thanks Reuben
You might want to warn folks that using a leash when running wears and strainers might not be a good idea on a large flow stream.
Thanks we were wearing quick release leashes which is recommended. But yes a non quick release leash isn’t recommended for rivers.
What boards you used? I recognize the Rapid
I was on the starboard river board and rach was on a very very old red prototype river board.
what's your board? It looks short & cool
I was on a starboard river board. I think it’s a couple of years old now.
sup on running water is completely different from sup on flat water.
Completely different! It was great fun trying something so different to normal.
Ditch the leash on white water. It'll kill you.
