- I show you how you can quickly glue a loose or sagging rubber seal back into place. In this video, I use superglue since I just happened to have some on hand but you could use other glues better suited for this.
This is the rear door of a Ford Focus 2015, but the same principles apply on almost any rubber seal on a car door. 👇👇 Buy something and support the Homeneer channel 👇👇

I have to say the comments here are very rude. It unnecessary to say such mean things. If you didn't like his video then just move about your day without saying a word to the man about your negativity. How hard is that. I just don't understand why people feel the need to put others down.
Thanks for the kind words
What a surprise it's a ford focus. I imagine everyone who came to view this video also has one... I do 😂
Interesting 🤔
Focus driver here! :D
Hello there!
I love the video man keep up the good work
Thanks
Can I use this method on a rip in my car doors weather stripping?
thanks for the tip. I can't find anyone who still sells this seal. Mine is all tore up
Worked perfectly 😁
Glad to hear that 😊
It will last longer if you clean the rubber residue off where it ripped, and clean it, then use a superglue activator first.
Thanks for the tip. I think others will also find this useful information.
There was a technical service bulletin from Ford re this.
It’s caused by a wire that is vulcanised into the rubber. The wire is under tension and pulls the rubber off at the ends.
The fix is to cut the wire to release the tension then stick it like you have done. Because it’s not under tension anymore it will remain stuck down
I’ve also used a strip of gorilla tape, it sticks very well and will probably last the life of the car!
Interesting have same Problem right back site
@@markbrennan9821 Thanks for this info! Two doors on my Focus are the same with this.
I have a simular problem with my buick lesabre how ever I have to buy a new rubber seal
THANKS ,MAN
Welcome
great 👍
Thanks
Every focus i see has this loose seal hanging out 😂😂
🤔
Yup I’m watching this to fox my focus. Lol
What brand of glue did you use?
Sorry don't remember the glue brand. It was something cheap from a local hardware store.
@@Homeneer Well I tried a couple but with no success so any others options for me. Many thanks.
Good vedio
Thanks
Where did you get that rubber seal, I need one for my car.
Sorry its the original just fixing it back on
@@Homeneer I had to do the same thing. It was said that they no longer so the rubber seals for that type of car. I have to clean off the old rubber seals I use them again which turned out really good
Thank u . 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Welcome 😊
Same with my focus
Sorry to hear that
This is not the right way to do it. It may work for a while but it won't last. Use proper rubber to metal glue.
Good suggestion
Do you know any good brands?
I used epoxy properly overkill :-)
Well if it works why not 🙂
Damn! 😂😂😂 I'm sure you won't have that problem ever again
Surely you would clean the surface first. What a bodge
Thanks for the comment
Thanks for the comment
Nobody is wondering how to re-glue a door seal. They are wondering what solutions people have for replacing discontinued door seals.
Hmm didn't think of that.
Why asking for a replacement when you can just fix it for maximum 20$ (I looked for other videos and most of them require a special glue that's below 20$). Going to try the classic super glue than we will see. Thanks for the video and the other comments
I want to know, New door seals on Amazon for 15 bucks for fifteen feet.
And this is why I’m not buying another Ford, you just get sick of the crap build quality
Well I guess many car makers have quality issues sometimes. I must say the focus has been very good except for this one issue
Well it happened on my 4 years old Mercedes.
Isn’t this obvious
Perhaps, but still I think its helping some.
😂😂😂😂😂
Did it work 😃
Your mistake you should clean the area first
you kinda look like and sound liks this runescape player/streamer named "A friend" lmao
Interesting
Wtf 😂my kids can do this
Yeah it's easy. Still holding strong on my car
🐻🇺🇲♥️
