      Hi, just wondering from your experience do you think it's safe for a 35 year old adult who's completely new to the sport (I have a muay Thai background) to start wrestling at that age?
      My bones aren't what they used to be and I'm scared of getting injured

      @@Sofiane015 you can wrestle at any age as long as your fit & flexible. Your bones will be fine because most of wrestling rarely use submissions. They use locks and pins but nothing to break an arm or leg.
      I know your safer with wrestling than boxing though. Because boxing can cause injuries to your body because your actively hitting your opponent. You don’t actively hit your opponent in wrestling other than takedowns. I recommend doing Folkstyle version wrestling for anyone older or starting because they don’t require throws/slams.
      Olympic Greco wrestling usually have throws and freestyle is a little bit more forceful but not Folkstyle.

    Once again, you have given equal credence to each style rather than bashing those you don't train in like many are prone to do these days. I would be very interested in hearing your take on Bartitsu as well.

      @@PlainlyPutHQ As an amature historian, I find Bartitsu fascinating. It's a Victorian mixed martial art combining Boxing, Savate, Cane Fighting and Jujitsu. Also called the martial art of Sherlock Holmes. Just food for thought. Thank you for your great videos.

    I've been practicing Shorinji Kempo for about 13 years. And yes, it's a very accurate and concise description.
    I appreciate it since most people consider it just another type of Kempo when it's much more than just a martial art.

    muay boran is not a martial art but as an umbrella term for all of the styles it consists of, and it's also an art of 9 limbs ❤

    You need to add Tang Soo do to the list because it’s a dangerous martial art. It can be aggressive and more aggressive than Judo

      ​@@PlainlyPutHQ I recommend taking a look at Dambe. This is in my opinion the most unique African style. There are many wrestling styles, but wrestling happens to be parte of almost all cultures, so it's not as unique as Dambe

      Allow me to introduce my nation's martial arts: Võ Cổ Truyền (striking art), Vật Cổ Truyền (grappling art) and Vovinam (the combination of both). These are Vietnam styles which would be more noticeable in your video 😁👍

    As a boxer I can appreciate that he added boxing in this one as I see it as a martial art most people think its just a sport but its both boxing trains the minds grit while also conditioning the body argue with me if you want but that's just how I see it
