I've reviewed previous versions of Costco burnt ends in 2017 and 2021, but this one from Mission Hill Bistro is new on Costco shelves for Summer 2023. Watch as I demonstrate the unusual heating method suggested on the package, and learn how I rate its taste and tenderness.

We agree with almost all of what you said. Our chunks were a bit more fatty, and we loved the BBQ sauce. We just dirtied up a clean pan unnecessarily as well. Yesterday, we bought the new Kirkland brand to see how they compare. Thanks for your review!
Very nice video. Good review. I just tried this product myself and I agree with the points you made regarding the inconsistency of the product. Some pieces were incredibly tender, moist, and delicious while others were tough and stringy. The sauce was tasty enough. I made some buttered rice and had it with that. Personally I won’t be buying this product again.
Great review, thank you
Lots of good info here thnx your other videos too
Excellent review Chris.
Thanks for your dedication to BBQ.
If they come vacuum sealed, I would try to reheat them sous vide
I think this is a great suggestion and worth trying.
I saw your video after I bought these at Costco and got a little worried! My pack was all smaller pieces and I went with microwave only method. I have to say, they were actually really good, even better than some chain restaurants that sell their version of burnt ends. Definitely will be a repeat buy for me
Your experience vs mine shows that the product can vary from package to package. Glad yours was satisfactory!
Appreciate the video! The package directions were not great. Thanks for the clarity.
I bought after confirming there were stovetop directions only to discover today that they took require a my microwave. Any ideas for the microwaveless consumer?
I would try dropping the unopened plastic bag of meat into a big pot of boiling water and heat it that way. Hard to say how many minutes that would take.
I love this product.... but it seems like Costco stop carrying it ! ( at lease in Florida )
they only have the Kirkland brand burnt end 😒... they don't come with sauce, they're dry and its not really smoked !!..
does anyone know if Costco will bring these back?
It seems to be a regional thing, we're still getting the Mission Hill Bistro products out here on the West Coast.
I think they taste best when they’re samples at Costco 😂. And that’s how I always become a victim.
That isn’t a lie😂 but when you get down your way these are definitely a good side forsure
So salty I could barely eat them.
I tried them twice. Disgustingly fatty. I see Costco is now carrying a "Kirkland" brand. Don't know if it's the same stuff, merely re-branded. Too gun-shy to try it. Bring back the Mission Hill Brisket, Costco.
Just stay clear … BBq sauce was pretty decent but man that meat was horrible! Tougher than year old elephant jerky, dry as shit, over cooked and tasteless … I had 2 pieces and threw it I. The trash … HOREIBEL!!!
