    I’m a hairstylist too. I’ve done this technique before but not on brunettes. It will give them an orangey balayage which is ugly. This will only work on natural blonde hair.

    False wet hair actually slows down the bleaching and lifting processes for it reduces the strength of the vilume u used and the hair strand is full of water so penetration isn't as deep

    When I was getting my hair done back in the day before I started coloring my hair now I a vibrant red that I love, I just color the roots of the yucky grey then the rest is all natural because I have a natural tone of red to my hair.
    But anyway balayage is the only way to go. I wouldn’t have my hair done anyway else by a hair dresser then this way it’s expensive and double what I normally pay, but it was so worth it because it was a color and beautiful caramel highlights done in a way that other hairdressers were never able to achieve so definitely. This is the way that you want your hair done

      @@belle83wet hair is too fragile to apply bleach to, that’s why this video is so uncommon. Of course it’s more porous, of course it will lift, but the integrity of your hair will be compromised. Not certain on the uniformity of the lightening either. Your cuticle will be filled with water, the product will be diluted, the product can’t penetrate as evenly as it would on dry hair…

    Yikes. I agree with the hair being slightly damp for flawless blending but that is all. Rubbing bleach or lightener of any volume in to the hair is INSANE and absolutely promoting breakage and damage. Never ever ever do this.

      I get what you mean the back of her crown still has that Hat shape of brown.... but When you lift and then blow dry the light shines through the hair it seems like a game changer for lifting up quicker I have never done this but been getting blonde color for years its a long process to lift then tone it takes the same amount of time to lift then to tone thats lots of processing and hair can break off from doing that repeatedly.

    What is a balleage

    • @geewiz8253
      @geewiz8253 9 місяців тому +3

      Balayage is a French word that comes from the word sweep. It’s basically “painted on” highlights, meaning foils aren’t used (usually), so the bleach is painted (or swept) on. But you have to know what you’re doing. You can’t just use a normal bleach powder from Sally’s. It has to be a special kind and you have to do it with someone that has a lot of experience with it so your hair doesn’t over lighten and break or under lighten and turn orange.

    • @geewiz8253
      @geewiz8253 9 місяців тому +5

      @@Mr_PamelaLighting os always damaging to any level bc you’re opening the porous in different levels and striping the nature color off, even if you use a product like olaplex. The natural hair won’t ever be the same since it will be notified, basically. The thing is the amount of damage it makes will actually depend on the condition of the hair, the level of developing, and if the hair stylist knows what he/she is doing (as in: not over lighting hair that hair already been lighten to its highest level already). Nothing is black and white. There are always variables. Lightening can be done with less damage if done carefully and with proper knowledge and technique.
