Well done! 👏🏼 It’s unusual for professionals to be so patient and careful with such hair. Many would have damaged it in the process and would insist on cutting it to try to hide their neglect and make it look “better.”
Many people, including rapunzels, manage their own hair at home and refuse to return to salons after their hair is damaged by the pros they were supposed to trust.

Yes! I had butt length red hair, went in for ends trim. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION he cut it to shoulder length(I later found out he SOLD my hair)and he put something on to "strip the dye out". I never dyed my hair back then. It frazzled my ends so bad that it had to be cut again. I never felt so butch! And I'll never trust a beautician again. It's been over 30 years since I've gone to one. If I need a trim, my daughter does it.

That was exactly the cut that needed to be made. It wasn't an arbitrary spot, it was the start of hair that wasn't brutally damaged. It would grow back

@@catrina7083exactly I stopped going to beauty parlour because of this. They always have a tendency to cut your hair.
30 years!? Not true. Hair grows about half an inch per month so it would take about three years to grow back. Everyone’s hair has a set length it will grow though so don’t expect metre long hair unless you’ve already grown it to that length.

I think it doesn't matter what your age. If you love your hair long wear it that way and if you love it short cut it off. As long as it's healthy and you feel good about it wear it however you want.

after ALL of that work - annnd the only thing I have to say …. Art cannot be rushed. The color is absolutely gorgeous.. it compliments her perfectly.

Color didn't seem much different?? Glad she didn't hack it all off, my daughter did at age 25 I had never cut her hair since birth other then trims and her hair was to her knee's and not stringy or unhealthy it was thick and beautiful no dyes or chemical treated, she came home one day from work with it to her shoulders and handed me the cut off braid!!! I was keeping it but then gave it to locks of love for cancer patients.
That was very kind of you. I’d have a hard time giving my daughter’s hair away because she’s my only child. Btw, a trim and a cut in stylist language are the same thing 🤷🏼♀️

@@lisalove272 I have long hair my whole life too, and it is heavy. Even though I'm in my 50s, my Nanna would be so sad if I cut it off that I just can't bring myself to do it... I am getting some beautiful silver Greys at the temples tho. I'll be a white haired, bun wearing old lady for a while longer. 😂
A woman getting a haircut isn't "hacking it off" it's her choice. Both men and women can lool good with short hair.

It’s beautiful. I’m so glad she didn’t cut it. I had a friend with hair that long. She was a natural light blond. She permed her hair and there was a cascade of curls down below her buttocks. She got stares wherever she went. As she got older, she cut it off and now just wears it straight and shoulder length. But I’ll never forget those curls. Another friend had hair below her waist like that also. Her hair was platinum blond and she wore it bone straight. It look like a curtain of water. She had big blue eyes. She married an African-American man who was dark-skinned and shaved his head, and they looked so striking together.

I used to have long hair! It was hard to find someone locally to do something like this! I was an RN and many patients remembered me as the "nurse with the long braid." Had it cut off for my 40th class reunion. Getting too old, I guess- it just looks better short now.
Sounds like a rationalization to help you accept a decision that cannot be changed. No matter, enjoy the difference!
It definitely always looks better shorter not necessarily short short. It’s just when a girls hair goes past her waist it just looks immature and 99% of the time it is pretty dead on the ends. And it definitely doesn’t help anyones face shape with how much it weighs the face.

Wait til you get jowls, lol. Then it just becomes a like a beacon signaling a sagging jawline and a woman trying to hold onto lost youth like a balding man holding on to his combover. We can't hold onto our menses forever, either, haha. Eventually, you just feel "grown" and don't need long hair for confidence. It doesn't have to be short, but long hair looks best on young faces.🤷♀️

MaShaAllah Tabarakallah ❤Some of us never know what we have until its gone. In middle school i use to wear a hijab so😮 when i insisted to grow my hair my parents decided not to buy me hair accessories or maintain it, so i would have to give up & cut it. The only accessories i only ever had was a comb, a head band, a few hair bands & if i didnt have anything there was always the elastic bands the vegetation came with. I had very thick black hair but it wasn't silky or weighted & it wasnt curly either so brushing throw it was a challenge. At times it use to grow to waist length then I would have to chop it all off. So at one point when in grade 10 for 3 years staright, i didn't cut or trim it, it was to my knees & i wanted to do something fun with it since it always look unruly. My parents didnt let me & kept scaring me about the negatives. Now that im older i dont have much hair left on my head nor does it grow that long, i feel I missed out a major part of life 😔 moral of the story is have fun with your hair never let anyone bully you into anything or restrict you from having fun with your hair. I missed the fun parts, like straightening, blow drying, curling, colouring, layered and super straight looks, loads of braided styles. Do miss out grasp the moment.

I have the same length of hair but my hair are very dry, only wish of my life is to have a special hair transformation by Mounir
Only wash your hair once a week. The night before you wash, put oil in your hair. Sleep with oil in your hair. Use a decent conditioner after washing. Also, light leave in conditioner is good, concentrating on lower portion. Moisture and less washing.

@@jenniferlloyd9574 Yes and keep it out of chlorine (use a swim cap and special chlorine removing shampoo and condition afterwards if you swim) and keep it out of the sun as much as possible. There are conditioners with UV protection or put it up under a hat.
