I would say 110. Same handicap as Alex but I don’t hit as long as he has been. I make up for distance in my short game. Short game means squat if I can’t reach fairway.
@@domithor Gotta agree with that. 18 hc, my drives are like 250 in the summer heat, usually play 6000-6400 yd tees. My goal would be break 110. Play most of those par 4s as par 5s.
I think what Jeannie wanted to write was that she thinks it's perhaps an extremely difficult course for a high handicapper....but when those fingers hit the keyboard she just couldn't help it. I agree with you however Justin 👌🏼 That said they seem like good blokes
I think this course is just too damn hard for anyone with a higher handicap than what is represented by this group. As it stands after 4 holes, the only one I see realistically hitting their target score is Alex, who probably also set the most realistic target score. I've played a couple of courses from the tips that have hosted majors. I had a low single digit handicap at the time and shot right around 90 both times. Add the travel and the cameras these guys had to deal with and that would make it that much more difficult.
Hard agree I'm vibing with this group especially Chris and lovin how grindset Alex is, Ken bringing the bomb 170 yard 9 irons, and Vaibhav got the love
Chris once saved a cat stuck on a tree with his 5-iron. As a teenager, Chris had a weed whacking business in which he used his irons to trim unwanted bush, this led to him having the smooth swing you see him have now. Years of weed whacking and saving cats with clubs has turned him into one of the most consistent, generous, kind, and positive golfers that have ever lived. People can only strive to be more like Chris.
you can really tell alex picked up golf for time with his dad. His swing and style of play is just what I could imagine out of the general "father figure". Like his dad taught him EVERYTHING. so cool
These guys are doing phenomenally well! keep it going, plus Kudos to Ken's Caddie! Her "let's go!" after his wedge shot on the green felt so sincere! Good chemistry all-around players/caddies/camera crew/and it shows!
OMG, do you ever come across something that you didn't know existed but when you see it you suddenly realized you've always loved it? That is me with this Format, voiceover and production. It is so relaxing and Erik's smooth voice and deep golf knowledge really make it a pleasure to watch.
All 4 players are so appreciative and that’s what it’s all about. However Chris and his caddy… their connection is so pure and joyous to watch. Just found this channel last week, and I’ve crushed all the breaking series in a week. Thank you for this content.
Love that all 4 ooze Erik’s philosophy of just enjoying the experience. Especially Chris. +1. Not the best 4 holes but still there encouraging everyone else and just having a good time.
I seriously cannot even state how much I'm enjoying watching these series... This series? Esp Breaking Erin Hills and Pinehurst with the caddies. A Plus!
This is such a great video, not only for entertainment, but for the game of golf. I remember commenting a couple years ago poking fun at a couple of Eric's bad shots. It's funny because that was when I started really taking golf seriously, trying to lower my scores and judging other people's game against mine. After having many humbling rounds, I can only appreciate the courage it takes to put all your shots on youtube. Not only that, Eric brings such a great attitude and welcoming perspective that is missed way too often amongst golfers. Thanks Eric for the channel. Please keep posting videos like these!
The commentary makes these episodes so much better, the guy is class great commentator. Need commentary like this in the majors keeps it funny and entertaining 👍🏼
@39:54 Chris sounds just so sincere and excited, what a likable dude! And he’s not wrong, I’m cheering for Alex “Anthony” Kim, what a swing and soft hands for a 14 index he has.
as a Minnesotan, I can firmly say that Wisconsin people (except when it comes to sports, which is fair) are some of the finest, most humble people on the planet and I always love visiting the Badger State! Beautiful courses, nice people, good vibes all around.
I think I smiled the entire video. This is what golf is about. People from all different lives & levels of golf coming together for a shared experience.
There's a lot of golf content on UA-cam, but this brings a new angle, a new element. Your choices of players and their excitement to be taking part in such an amazing experience really comes through in these episodes. I've enjoyed your videos for a very long time, but there's something about these Breaking series episodes that hit different - perhaps because I can relate to these players? I'm still trying to figure it out. Either way, they're incredible. Thanks Eric.
maaan .. this is just so good .. such a joy to watch .. best golf content you can get .. brilliant editing .. brilliant commentary by EAL .. respect to all 4 players .. gotta love that .. :)
I played this course just over a week ago on the last day of the season and shot 88 just from the 6800 yard tees. I can’t imagine trying to break 90 from an extra 1000 yards. Good luck to these guys!
I am invested in this round of golf. Divot tracer and the flipped score card for Ken on the 4th were great 🤣. All the guys Ken, Alex, Vaibhav, and Chris played well and were entertaining.
Wow the intro at around 3 minutes was just beautiful. I can’t wait tell you guys do an actual feature length film. Hats off to the RGC team. You guys are awesome.
Yes, love this series. Thanks for putting this together! But anybody else completely thrown off at that pinehurst transition at 8:30? That was...weird. Oh well who cares let's golf! Love their attitudes
Well put together videos of amateurs playing golf at some of the hardest courses played by tour professionals. Great to see people of different skill levels playing together and having fun. I have been fortunate to play TPC Sawgrass's stadium course, Pinehurst #2, Spyglass Hill, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island and a few others. Television doesn't do them justice. Would love to see you with a group at Spyglass HIll; playing the outward 9 towards the ocean then the inward through the DelMonte Forest. Keep up the great work!
I played a round here in September of 2019. It rained half an inch that morning and 80% of the days tee times cancelled. For me it was now or never so I waited the rain out and it was such an amazing experience. It is worth the price without a doubt. I loved it so much, would love to go back.
Great show, great format... Was due to play today, the sun broke out and the weather for a crisp late October, it's perfect... Then I lateral flow test. COVID hits, my first personal embrace. Inside staring my my clubs for 10 days! Will rewatch all episodes of Adventures in Golf again!
What score would you attempt to break at Erin Hills from the tips?
110! Let’s go Alex! Us double digit handicappers have to stick together!
120
104!
break 90 and how sweet it would be!
I’d be trying to break 110.
By far the best golf content for amateurs to live vicariously through other like skill level players.
What score would you try to break?
I would say 110. Same handicap as Alex but I don’t hit as long as he has been. I make up for distance in my short game. Short game means squat if I can’t reach fairway.

I love these so much. Format is back to the original. I would like a wider variation in HCP but this is just lovely
4 players - plus-5-10-15

Great stuff. Just 1 tip, always show the target goal score for each player when they are showing each of them.
Hru I’m tt

There we go, this is the vibe that was missing in the last series.

Rooting for Alex to take home a caddy bib and break 110 here!
Were I Alex, I'd get the bib and then have all the caddies, crew, and players sign it, for a framed sentimental piece.

He saved my cat, but I thought he hit a 6.
If you dug Chris in this episode check him out later this week on the Off Brand Golf Show. You're gonna' get to learn a ton more about him...trust me.
Our interview with Chris is live on our channel!
Are you well?
This is just a different level of production quality, i can’t believe i get to watch this for free
Only 5 minutes in, but as an editor, props for tackling such a massive project.
Another editor chiming in to give kudos to the post pipeline! Well done datahandlers, editors, assistents, kudos all around
Whoever is doing the music deserves a raise.

Original format is the GOAT. Love seeing the difference in HCPs and what good peeps for putting themselves out there!
Would love to play a round with a guy like Chris. Dude is so positive and full of energy
The opposite of Joe Hooks 🤣
@@gkLA33 love to play with him too. He's from my hometown!

@Shawn Mcgonigle I know! I felt like I let her down, she made such a good call in fairway on that yardage.
@@KWill2407 you are doing great bud, on those greens 3 putts will happen plus you didn’t want to leave your birdie putt short right 💪😂

Chris is the most San Diego dude ever lol
Haha "we're off dude"

Can't decide which I love more - the awesome, positive attitude of the players, or the Wisconsin accents of the caddies
So much positive vibes and only 8mins in. Already smilling from ear to ear. Loving this so much!
22:15 “I haven’t gotten used to the greens yet” “… i know” is by far the funniest thing said in this video.
Great vibe and awesome people. Rooting for Alex! Every single one of these people have awesome swings!

dude! Erik's narrating is so much the best part of this! love it!
This series is the best.
Alex Kim's swing and tempo are amazing for a 14hcp.
Great Attitude too, playing with these single handycappers its not easy

Amazing video, very cool to see regular golfers give a tour level course a try. That course looks stunning! look forward to the rest of this series.
Tour tees as well. The extra 1k yards is brutal!
I think the coolest thing about these videos is I find myself cheering for every one playing to play well the further through the round that they go.
Thank you for doing a variety of Handicaps. It makes the video better and more relatable.
The commentary is gold, but the divot tracer is pure gold.
By far the best golf series on UA-cam, love the format
discovering this channel has brought me great joy. I pray to be selected for one of these series! thank you for the content!

Good God these are great. I know a ton of work goes into these so thank you. This is some amazing stuff.

A UA-cam video with Hollywood production value. A great group of golfers as well.

Great content. Lots of respect for the players putting themselves out there.
Really digging this. Great production quality. Excellent pacing in the edit, and super engaging while being relaxing at the same time.
Agree! RGC is killing it!
Been waiting for this series And it didn’t disappoint!!! Well done film team!!
More coming your way soon! 🙌🏼
They had amazing weather! This is fun but for me, nothing beats watching Erik tackle these beasts and battle the demons.
The production quality on these make it so enjoyable to watch. Major tip of the hat to whoever is editing this together as well. Keep it up!!!

Wonderful series, looking forward to seeing the rest of this series!
Great video series!!! Love Erin Hills as you guys captured this amazing course perfectly! Thank you for this relatable golf content!!
Watching this from Rochester Hills, cool surprise to hear the shoutout! Go Alex!
Good dudes… so much fun to play great golf courses with great people…. But always better when everyone is playing well😄
Another great addition to the series! Alex is showing those pins and I’m here for it 😄

Erin Hills? Just started watching this and I like it already. Couldn't have a better group of average guys like my friends and I. Good luck guys.
Really like how calm Alex is. He’s probably the most fun to play with.
this is so well produced. Bravo EAL and RGC

Aweaome video! Enjoyed it a lot and totally by accident (popped up in recommended). And the divot tracer 😂 nice touch
Captivated. This is the best series on UA-cam, Erik. So good.
My man at 6:00 - being from Phoenix, the quality of grass is one of the best parts of getting out on the course.
This is just terrific! Thanks for this content!
These are brilliant 👍
I had the good fortune to play this course in 2019, it is as beautiful and hard as it looks.
Love the comment about nice grass - couldn't agree more.
really enjoying this one so far, great foursome so easy to root for everyone and the production is awesome as always!
Thanks! So creative, lots of laughs.
After watching a few of these... this series is way better when it's only 3 players. I hope you guys realize that for future episodes
Love the commentary!!! This would be great to listen to on the PGA.
We need EAL to do a livestream commentary on a PGA round, mute the TV and listen to the EAL.
Keep these coming! Love to see them
