I imported physical card into iphone and then I saw card number in iphone is not the same as physical card number. My question is I want to designate IC card for shinkansen ticket in SmartEx app. Which card number do I designate for shinkansen ticket? (physical card number or digital card number in iphone)

The card won't work anymore after import. It's just piece of plastic. And yes the ICOA works even if the phone is switched off.

i prefer to use my physical card because you cannot charge your IC card with cash once you do this, only with payment options in your wallet

Thanks, Jalaal. Actually, you can add money to your IC card after you've imported it. You don't have to do it via Apple Wallet. Please see another video on my channel titled: "Charge a Digital IC Card (Suica, Pasmo, Icoca) Without a Credit Card Linked to Your Apple Wallet."

This is not true with Suica card. I don't know about ICOCA.
