Christine, I really appreciate your designer's eye. You create really elegant layouts. I think these tips were all new to me. I have so much washi and don't know what to do with it. Mostly I am using the uglier rolls for masking and holding things down. I use some in my super minimalist, practical bullet journal.

Hi Carla. Ahhhh…. Thank you for your kind , encouraging words and sharing your crafting preferences. Washi has always been one of those things that I just used as “tape”… so being a washi hoarder myself I thought I would challenge myself with washi in this journal. Happy crafting my friend.

I have never used Washi tape as masking tape, but it’s a great idea. I covered a cardboard box with Washi tape and used it as a stand for a painting. I’m just getting back into paper crafting after many years and house clean outs. I enjoy your delivery. Your voice is very pleasant 💝

    • @christinemleung

Hi Marisa. I like that idea of writing it down and putting it into practice. I myself have so much washi that I vowed I would challenge myself to use it in this journal for more than just taping things down. My inspiration usually comes from scrolling through Pinterest. I love making cards so when I look at the techniques people use to make cards, I always think of how I can incorporate the technique into my scrapbook journals.

Hi Pamela. That's how I started off using washi tape but now I'm stretching my imagination a little bit and trying new ways of using it. That’s a rather dull & wasteful use of decorative washi tape. That’s what plain painter’s name is meant for, not the washi that is bought for more creative journaling, card making, etc.

    Downvoted because of the music.
Tutorials are enough on their own with the voiceover.
The music alienates a lot of people.
There are many who will be triggered by sensory overload from the visual, voice and music.
It's such a shame because it's an interesting video.
