      Not going to argue with you. Some of them were poorly packed for the trip, and no clue the conditions they were raised in. The ones that survived the first week rehabilitated nicely is what I am told.

      Not "us guys" just Brian :D but yeah, it was pretty much a whole breeders fish room. Thanks for watching as usual Jason! Oh btw my Neochromis Omnicaeruleus is holding, maybe I do have a male in there *shrug* Either that or she bred with a Ruby Red Peacock...

      META Fish haha well fair enough, that will probably be me after the first post COVID auction. Great to hear about the neochromis, maybe you have a nice OB male - hard to come by.

      @@jasonreding6453 I very well might, there is one OB neo that is showing some darker colors. Shame I didn't catch it happening. She has been holding for close to two weeks so think I will pull the fry tomorrow and see how they turn out. I figure it should be pretty easy to tell if any fry look like peacocks at all.

      @@jasonreding6453 Stripped the female and ended up with about 8 eggs with heads and tails. I definitely have a white blotched male! He is the only one with egg spots, is showing blue shine through the WB pattern and has some minor red streaking through the finnage.

    What do you feed your fish the colors are beautiful??

    • @METAFish
      @METAFish  3 роки тому

      A mix of many foods but the staple is Tetra color granules and 42% protein flake that we buy 5lbs at a time from ebay. We also feed some pellets and frozen Mysis Shrimp.

    looks like u use a lot of air filters. whats the specs of air pump to hold all these? need often water changes?

    • @METAFish
      @METAFish  4 роки тому

      Brian's fish room runs dual Pondmaster AP 100s. I believe Brian's routine is 50% or greater water changes every 2 weeks. It is important to replace the filter floss in the box filters as frequently as possible to prevent Nitrate spikes.
