Am I the only one whose heart was pounding during Gale's chase? OH MY LORD
The sequence with Gale was one of my favourite parts - I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Amazing!!!
It was so good she put up a good fight I thought she was gone I’m glad she made it
Until they pussed out with killing her.
when she called him back that was great 😂
How high did your heart rate go?
I am compelled to share a quick aside: Rewatched Scream 5 earlier today after having seen 6 yesterday, I now have MORE appreciation for the 5th entry BECAUSE of what the 6th continued to build off of with what was set up before. Makes me MORE excited for the 7th entry now!!
Right. I read some people saying 6 made 5 look worse and I completely disagree.
My thoughts exactly
Absolutely loved the “Core 4” and Kirby’s return! This franchise warms my horror loving heart. They killed it!📞😱🔪
I love you guys! So happy to be able to come on here and spend so much time with people who obsess over Scream as much as I do! Thank you!
Gale putting ghostface on hold, alongside his confused "huh" response is gold dust. 😂
Gale 👏🏽
I watched your final predictions video right before going to see the film. Couldn’t wait for this spoiler review
Next we want scream in the snow!
Me too I loved the Aussie accent kept for Samara Weaving.
Perri!!! You were on my screen at the theater yesterday before the movie it was so awesome to see you
I'll rewatch this video again and take a shot every time "set piece" is said lol. But seriously I always love your videos about Scream. You just really express a lot of passion from someone like me and many others and emotions that we felt during all the moments in the new film perfectly. I'm confident that we are in good hands with Radio Silence
Really had a good time with this one, fun and action packed
I think Radio Silence does a really great job at handling returning/legacy characters in supporting roles better than I’ve seen other franchises do. I remember thinking during Scream 5 that I wouldn’t have minded if Sidney hadn’t been apart of it, and seeing how they handled her absence here along with bringing Kirby back, all while introducing new characters that are dynamic and really likeable?? I’m excited to see how they switch things up in that regard again going into Scream 7
Just got out of Scream VI -
They definitely upped the camp in the third act, but that dial was turned so carefully that the result was just perfect!
I was literally on the edge of my seat multiple times... I haven't had such a great theatrical experience in so long!
Opening gave me scream 3 vibes with the voice switching🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It was top 3 opening for me
Second best scream
At the movies right now, about to watch Scream 6. And PERRI NEMIROFF herself is in a women’s history month promo. SO COOL. I’m screaming in my boyfriend’s ear “she’s the one that we listen to!”
I kept refreshing your channel after coming from the theater to hear your thoughts! I loved this film so much I’m so happy that the fans are as well 😊
#pnemiroff Saved this on watchlist till after seeing to compare breakdowns. Have my theory matching someone else's, no hints lol. A pleasure seeing you gush on it and the Bcap chef 😙
I literally can't believe how good the Scream franchise continues to be! This 1 had me on edge the whole time, I couldn't figure out the killers at all, altho I was with Mindy on Jack's character bein 1of em. There bein 3 Killers was beyond wild &was 1of my theories goin in S6. I'm jus soo happy with the direction this series is heading yo.
Love how in the scream universe ppl like perkins die for a single backstab but chad survives like 50 different stabs in very delicate places lmao can't really complain he's still alive but I really wish either he or gale wouldn't have survived bc it feels again like the *dewey shield* where he endured clearly fatal wounds but still survived bc he's one of the main, I think chad dying would've upped the anti a bit more, expecially maybe bc we would've seen a different reaction from mindy too.
Personally the only real weak point of this movie is Ethan as one of the killers, his character was really underutilized and underdeveloped and also kinda too obvious, he was never with the others during attacks, he was never attacked, he was never seen alone doing *something*, i couldn't just really believe he was one of them. I would've preferred either kirby being the 3rd surprise ghostface or maybe having the 3rd ghostface being a lone wolf unrelated to the Baileys and them to be revealed to the audience but not to the main cast and going into scream 7 knowing they were the killer but watching Sam and the others interact with them and wanting to see how that could play out in the end. I feel like Ethan was really not the right choice or at the very least he was not really given his time to make it worth. Quinn was fine, in the heat of the apartment scene i hadn't really time to focus on her being killed offscreen and ghostface being in her room with her talking to him played well with her setup as a person who brought strangers into the house and not paying much attention, the onyl thing is i would've reversed the reveal bc when we find out her father is the main ghostface then we instantly knew she was under the other mask, she sould've been the first reveal, followed by her dad, maybe making us believe she tricked him too.
Happens in real life all the time. I've seen someone survive being shot in the head with a shotgun. Some people die from minor things and others survive crazy injuries. Chad at least got medical attention pretty quickly. Dewey bled out for hours in Scream 2 and survived.
Really the wounds are all over the place in this movie. Tara gets stabbed in the back, then stabbed in the stomach, and is making jokes with Sam like nothing happened. She doesn't even get in an ambulance. Mindy is also sprinting at the end of the movie like she didn't just have a 6 inch gash in her stomach 20 minutes earlier. On the whole I liked the movie because of the unique opening and I like the core 4 as characters but I feel like there's no real stakes when characters not just survive, but ignore wounds that would have killed anyone else off.
Amazing! Will watch this after I rewatch it today for the second time :)
Excellent, epic review Perri! Thanks. woodsboro, Hollywood, NYC.....Where do you want to see the franchise go next? International, cabin the woods, Space, etc?
Perri, where have you been girl? I miss your content! ... Oh nevermind, i just saw a thumbnail from one of the cons. Hope you had a great time - come back soon! ☺️🤗

I figured Quinn was the killer when she had that line in the beginning where she mentioned that her brother died. I figured it was Richie because that was such a random line that they didn't need to include and her character also looks like him. Once her father was revealed as the cop I figured he was in on it too, so I was like 95% sure they were the two killers 20 minutes into the movie but I didn't see Ethan being part of it because I didn't expect 3 killers. I wish they hadn't included that line with Quinn because it kind of gave it all away for me and it seemed obvious from there out. I still really enjoyed the film though, Gale's chase scene was great.
I love this film and it’s prob my second or third favorite of the franchise, but I would say Samara Weaving’s character going down a dark alley way in NYC to meet a boy she’s never met (even if she did meet him before!) is not smart behavior lol
It was enjoyable as I watched it. I really appreciate your excitement for the movie. Not that I figured everything out. But before seeing the movie I made a statement that kinda happened with the reveal of the 😱... I did really like the characters being flawed horror fans. People who say they would survive a Slasher IRL are destined to mess up for sure! 🙂 Which are things done before in the series. Still was fun seeing characters getting ticked at their wrong choices...
There were a few things about the plot that were a bit far fetched. Maybe a few too many things that were "chance" and "luck" within the story. Regardless with an Inevitable Scream 7 I hope they take a little more time writing and not just release a movie next year...
I think you guys made a video about it but when it was announced that Samara Weaving & Tony Revolori were in it, I’d assumed they’d either be the killer or the opening kill. Color me shocked that I was right on both but not how I expected to be
Love your content Perri! Especially the Scream and Awards season content! Keep it up!
I really enjoyed that film big thumbs up!
It was soooooo good
I think Danny had the ladder for him and sam to go back and forth to eachother to be sneaking around
I doubt that, because when Danny first suggested it, Sam was very reluctant to do it because they were so high up. If she did it all the time, I don't think she would have had that reaction.
@@Joker_JAK that's a very solid point I guess I was just trying to make logical sense of why he'd have one haha
@@stereo2hearts Fair enough.
Loved Scream VI! There were plot holes as a result of the killer reveal but it didn’t take away from how great of an entry it is in the franchise. The third act is among my favorites in the franchise! It felt like a celebration of the Horror genre. Best Scream since the OG! Thanks, Joel and Perri! Scream VII let’s go! 🙌🏾💀🔪 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸 1:04:56
LOVED THE REVIEW PERRI! I'm a life long Scream fan myself and was SO HYPED for this flick and it really delivered! It's not perfect by any means but overall I had a blast with this movie Ghostface was better than ever, The Core Four were even better in this than they were in 5, and it was so cinematic! I can't wait to go see it again so I can really pick up all the little details especially knowing the identity of Ghostface. The reveal did slightly surprise me which is refreshing because I only guessed one aspect of it but not the whole motive which was the first time for me since Scream 2 and Scream 4. By the way I went to a regal to see it last night to see it and saw you in the Noovie intro talking about up and coming actresses and stuff so congrats on that!
Loved the movie. I thought the Kirby “misdirect” did the exact opposite of what they wanted. I was already convinced that the cop was the killer and that his daughter was still alive and also in on it (did not suspect a third killer being the boy roommate, yet). So when he told her Kirby was ghostface that just cemented his guilt in my brain and I thought it was obvious he was trying to have Sam and Tara lose their trust in Kirby.
I did HATE how Mindy was running around at the end fine. Insane. Also we dont even need to talk about Chad living… lmao
I've already seen this movie two time's first in Dolby which was loud and kick a**! Second in Digital not as bad a**, I love the loud speakers like in IMAX and Dolby. I'm going on my Birthday March 12 to watch in 3D. This movie was so good on the edge from beginning to end loved the final reveal wow surprise, the kills are insane and Sam is a killer and you can tell she likes it 🗡 she's a born slasher. These two sisters are a dou to not mess with!
Great video! I love scream just as much as you do! One of the first movies that really made me a fan of horror. Looking forward to your review of Evil Dead Rise. Any initial thoughts prior to screening? What are you anticipating the most about it?
Loved Scream 6. I’m officially in with the core cast of the series now and I myself do not need to see Sydney’s character anymore. It’s time to move on from the old group. I’m looking forward to Scream 7
I found it interesting that the killers' motive was similar to that of Scream 2 (Debbie Salt) - and both 3rd acts take place in a theatre. I wonder what they'll do in Scream 7. Loved the movie :-)
And also there are 3 main killers just like in the original scream 2 script that leaked online.
one the best thing radio silence was make chad the complete opposite of horror movie jocks
Loved the film but my only complaints are that Radio Silence is even more afraid of killing off main characters then Wes was. Also there was a big plot hole with Quinn's fake out death since Danny knew she died so he could have easily snitched the killers out...Unless he is involved somehow and we just don't know yet. Perhaps his the true mastermind like Roman in 3 and we find out in 7 who knows.
Thank you for immediately pointing that out! Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People keep complaining about the motive but it’s the same as Scream 2; which it’s a love letter a lot for. People keep saying it’s not as good as the other ones, but it’s the same as 2.
I love this movie and the third act worked for me, it was chaotic, brutal, ridiculous fun!! This movie is also nothing more than a character study in establishing the core 4⃣
9.6/10
I'm a huge Screamhead! First time watches can be a bit overwhelming, so I definitely need to watch it again before I give S6 a rating/ranking. My first impression out of the theater was really enjoyed it! Fun ride from beginning to end! I suspected Dermot's character as a potential GF from casting, but was unsure about motive going in.😆 A few things did stick out, I think the writers revealed the killers waaaaay too early, imo. As soon as Quinn mentioned her dead brother, I knew she was definitely a GF and then again by Detective Bailey saying they should both be ruled out as suspects(didn't buy her death scene at all). I see some people had issues with Dermot's performance after his reveal, but I thought he was great! Definitely got Nancy Loomis vibes from him😆👍Weakest performance of the 3 was definitely Jack Champion. My only other "issue" was, too many survivors at the end. Major props to Radio Silence, I thought they directed the shit outta this movie! I think Scream 6 is the better movie over 5cream. Lastly, my favorite scene was Gale's penthouse apartment. Didn't know how it'd play out, but was on the edge of my seat the entire time!
BRING ON SCREAM 7!😱🔪
Very happy with this film. This franchise deserves some serious recognition for being this good SIX films in. Kirby and Tara were my standouts. The killers were fine. One thing that needs to stop though is killing off the killers. Put at least one in prison FFS.
Side note: can barely hear Joel.
this movie was so good! i am a very happy scream fan!
Josh Segarra was great in this
I need you two to make one of these videos to cover every single one of the Scream films. Because your rankings need further explanations and as fans I just need to hear what you got to say about each film with more time.
Curious how you feel about there being so many survivors in 6. I actually found myself disappointed that the only character death I sort of cared about was Mindy's girlfriend Anika. I really thought Chad was going to die. I actually rolled my eyes in the theater when they broght him out on the stretcher. Don't get me wrong, I love Chad and Mason and am happy to see more of them. But I found myself missing the emotional impact of friends dying like they have in every prior film. I also really thought Gale was on her way out, but then the paramedics got to her and I'm thinking we'll find she survived.
Also Perri I saw your Noovie women's month clip before the film in the theater and nearly spiderman pointed at the screen. I was so excited to see you haha.
I thought for sure Kirby was gonna be the killer but, boy was I wrong. The cop I thought for a while then I was like no maybe not but you never know with these movies. A great addition to the franchise.
Not Gale on the same Chocolate Men dating site as Martha Meeks😂 loved Gale living life 👏🏿👏🏿
I did not expect Quinn to be one of the killers! Was also caught off guard that they were all related.
Anika's death was WTF
Where did you get the "For Wes" shirt? I need one!
I expect Scream VII to be announced on Monday with a release date around this time next year. They proved they can crank these movies out quickly with excellent results both critically and financially and there's no way Paramount won't pounce on it.
Perri talking about Scream>>>>>>>>
The ending turned into a straight up slapstick comedy
The white dude and the cop were SO predictable
That could be said for all of the movies.
I feel exactly like you Perri
I’m so looking forward to seeing this one again this week. I really enjoyed it. The Core 4 relationships were my favorite part. Sam is still and will always be a babysitter to Chad, Mindy and Tara. The 4 are a family and each of them would risk their life for any of the other 3. . 4 people having the chemistry they do is like magic. Can’t wait to see what 7 does. Fingers crossed it’s as good and fun as 6 is.
I totally agree with comparing Anika to the assistant in Jurassic Wold. It was a great scene but I did feel so bad for her.
I loved this movie so much, way more than I did the 5th one. Kirby and Gale were my favorites. And I think people forget these people have been stabbed several times prior so they have alot of scar tissue
YESSSSSSS
Scream 7. Meta commentary on the superhero genre. Have Ghostface/Sam be a hero.
Unfortunately I had suspensions about the cop when she said her brother died. Roman was killed off screen then the therapist sealed the deal. She gave the cop her info then 10 minutes later he's killed . I have enjoyed the last two but they're trying so hard to hit nostalgia that it's detrimental to the killers
At First, I thought Chad was going to die (when he does get attacked) then they swerve me, by having him survive in the end. They got me twice with Chad.😂
First I loved this movie LOVED IT! Melissa, Jenna, Mason, Jasmine. 👨🍳 💋 the finale was biblical, Sam going full ghostface mode Tara letting her dark stabby self out to play. The nod of approval by her to Sam to finish it. Ughhhh so good.
That said
The issue I have with the reveal. Isn't that it's hammy, that's the point its tradition. The issue is Scream 6 has a more serious tone throughput then past screams. So the same hammy reveal is a bit jarring this time. It almost felt like it should have been a bit more sinister. I liked what was there, I really did it just felt a little thematically off by comparison to the tone of the rest of the movie.
Just seen it, rn it’s a 9/10 , for some reason I don’t like Wayne’s performance after the reveal and idk how I feel about the killers just yet. Going to see it tomorrow again, so let’s see how I feel
Question for Perri or anyone else on here: Towards the end of movie how did Mindys character know who the killers were? Last time we had seen her Ethan was getting her help at train station. How did she know that Ethan and his Dad were 2 of killers?
The very first film proved that the "rules" don't matter.
1. You can never have sex. (Sidney has sex and survives)
2. Never drink or do drugs. (Randy gets really drunk and survives)
3. Never say "I'll be right back." (Gale says it and survives)
if Gale and Chad had died i feel it would have been a much stronger movie, much more impactful sequel, then Sidney comes back in Scream 7
What great praise: "This movie is a love letter to people who like to watch people get stabbed to death in this film franchise. If you liked the brutal slayings in the other movies with the same plot, you will enjoy the brutal slayings in this one."
Different topic would you be reviewing you season 4? Just curious on your thoughts on how it ended
Overall, I enjoyed Scream 6 quite a bit, it's another solid entry in the franchise. I did think the killer reveal was a bit derivative of Scream 2, but i still enjoyed it. I'm just glad the killer wasn't Kirby, haha. I know some fans think this movie should've taken more risks, but I still had a good time. But even I have to admit WAY too many characters got stabbed in this movie and survived, lol.
You reckon Samantha will now become some Buffy the Ghostface Slayer?
Great opening
The “my brother died” ruined the reveal for me.. And even the dad mentions it to REALLY make it important. It was very obvious, so I was kinda disappointed with the reveal, and I didn’t feel like they could carry the role of being killers..
BUT much of the movie was entertaining and fun to watch :)
:::hugs::: 👻
To me this one felt a little… sloppy? Some hand waves for like, for example people just crossing police lines cause we need that dialogue here and little conveniences for plots sake. Maybe it just stuck out to me more in this one? I don’t know. I had a good time watching it, I liked it. I need to watch it again for sure.
Justice for Anika!
Movie was soooooooo good!
I thought Melissa B was great im Scream 2022
I really enjoyed scream 6 but the killer reveals just have been underwhelming. For a 5th and 6th entry in the franchise I feel the last two film have been missing a big twist that ties it back to the original trilogy in some way like how scream 3 tied it back to billy and stu.
When I saw Gale pulling those moves on Ghostface I immediately thought of Monica
Edit: she pulled a Monica

During the scene leading up to the ladder scene, Quinn’s body is thrown through her bedroom door out into the living room and on top of Annika. The next shot we see shows Ghostface grabbing Annika by her throat and picking her up. Behind Annika being picked up you can see that Quinn is still moving on the floor - this is the last shot of Quinn in this scene.
If Gale still hasn't written that book about Dewey in Scream 7, I'm gonna be pissed, lol. I hate that she wrote another book about the new murders from the last movie, it was pointless character regression.
Loved the movie. Easily, the best one since 2, but hated the killers. I understard is a homage to Debbie Salt, but Jack Champion and Dermot Mulroney's acting didnt work for me. Maybe, with a better ending, it would be a Top 2 Scream movie
I would say it is less camp and comedic in most ways than Scream 5.
So good to be a Marvel and Scream fan! Hahaha omg Perri! If Scream V a was so great, VI is even better Omg! It’s smart, it’s fast and tense! Ghostface is at his best! Omg Brutal! As much as I love Sid, Samantha carried it perfectly. People were applauding and having so much fan. Can’t wait for the seventh installment.
AT his best? Didn't kill anyone, everyone survived.
@scott...he is a marvel fan, what do u expect? 😜 Everyone surviving was some bs.
@@scottaudetat3090 A bunch of people died. This film has a higher death count than any other film.
@@Joker_JAK like some randos in the store, a guy offscreen we never met, 4 new characters and the killers?
Seems pretty weak to me.
How many past survivors died?
Goose Egg.
@@scottaudetat3090 Lol. People STILL bitch and moan that they killed Randy in Scream 2. So they probably didn't want to repeat that mistake. People will find any stupid reason to bitch. The same amount of people survived Scream and more survived Scream 2. And this movie had a higher body count. So there's no reason to complain about that if people didn't complain about the other films.
Setpiece
@4:00 There’s comedy in this??? I didn’t think there was any humour at all! The part where Jenna Ortega punches Courtney Cox got a laugh out of the audience in my theatre but otherwise I thought it wasn’t funny one bit. I thought all the previous films were very funny.
Terra and Chad are the new Gale and Dewey.
Gale *69'd Ghostface and i loved it! loved the throwback to scream 2. Fantastic movie
Gale having that bf was stupid. He was a jacked up dude who did nothing against who? Quinn?! Cmon
All of this
The third act is camp. The directors said they were going in a diffeent direction for the entire film but the third act did not prove that at all.
I am an old school Scream fan. I didn't like the representation from the second Scream movie seen again in this film. The reveal is suppose to be fantastic otherwise what's the point.
I love your enthusiasm and had a blast with the movie. But how could anyone look at this critically and not question the lack of ghostface kills? So ghostface killed Anika out of our main group? And that’s it? And then Chad/ Mindy get really horribly put together fake out deaths ???? Very strange and odd. It’s like undoing how smart the scream 5 Jenna survival moment was. And how is it the most ruthless ? He is the most incompetent
At this rate, Scream 7 might be the first slasher where no characters actually die. I did this to myself though. After Scream 5 was pretty overrated, I let the hype train get me and now the Scream series is the Fast & Furious series. A character can literally be gutted or stabbed in the lungs 18 times, and walk away with just a scratch. These new directors have no balls. It's like they killed Dewey and then got scared to kill anyone else.
Mindy gives a huge speech about how all of them will die and not a single returning character died. So f-ing lame.
If these film's have no stakes, what the fuck is the point anymore?
Bring back Stu and Randy and Tatum and Casey!!! No one really ever dies!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree
Man, people are overly dramatic. The same amount of people survived Scream. No one cared. MORE people survived Scream 2. No one cared. Not only that but people bitched that Randy died. So they wanted even more survivors. Dewey survived worse injuries than Chad and no one cared.
Having seen the film a 2nd time I have downgraded my score from a 4/5 to a 3.5/5 that third act is quite messy
The way Chad survives is absolutely stupid and makes no sense - there is also no stakes in this movie
The lack of Gale in the third act
This green screen cameos from billy I absolutely hate
I find myself caring more about Mindy and Chad than Sam and Tara
I still really like the movie but my love for scream is usually down to the ogs (and Kirby) and without Dewey , Sidney and not much Gale I just can’t say I love it
The chases scenes were great , opening was good and the Gale telephone was great , Kirby being back and the Mindy rules scene but as we are following Sam I find myself not caring about the character
Toni was giving nothing during his phone convo with GhostFace felt very acted. And Baileys performance, I’m sorry, you can’t compare THAT to Mrs. loomis. Lauri was somehow able to go there and she seemed insane. Dermott was not able to capture that at alllll. It’s not as bad the third time I saw it but it’s not good lol. Why’s he playing it funny? Providing the charter with full on facial ticks as he goes crazy. A few lines here and there land but the majority of his performance is so cringey. I wish they had had more of a of a rapport, the family. Like maybe one of them didn’t really want to be doing this but it’s what daddy’s says!! Even when Bailey says “There’s a special bond between a father and his first son”…Ethan’s just like…”…yea!…” and sticks his knife back in Melissa’s face lol Melissa was better in this film for sure though. Starting to live her. Sidneys exclusion was/is tragic to me and Gales scene has made me cry literally all three times Iv seen it. Idk why. But the “tell Sidney” line? ooommmggggf I could cry thinking of it now.
Overall I enjoyed the movie, but it's getting to be a little ridiculous on what wounds matter and what wounds don't. Half the people who survived should be dead ten times over based on the amount of damage they took. For movie to draw me in it has to have stakes, and if everyone and their mother can survive getting stabbed 32 times then you lose the stakes. I mean Tara is walking around cracking jokes like nothing happened after getting full on stabbed directly in the spine and then getting stabbed full-on in the stomach a few minutes later is just silly.
Perri i know you’re not gonna like it, but im saying it… second movie in a row that has hinted towards Stu Macher’s survival… heheheheh
They are pulling a Dewy with Chad, he should be dead twice over now, dont get me wrong love the character but no one can realistically survive those two vicious attacks. Tara and Chad should be the opening kills in Scream 7 to swerve us all. Totally guessed Tony R was a killer just not thee killer that was a great twist right in the opening.
