This is the best video i've seen on these places, i used to spend a lot of time up there over the decades. I haven't been up to the shore for awhile and this really takes me back, thank you!
Darn it, I thought I had taken every tour of Glensheen…..now I must go back for the nooks and cranny tour 😍 I live 3 1/2 hours away and can never visit the North Shore enough ❤️❤️❤️
My mother and two sisters born and raised in Duluth in the 1900-1917. My parents started bringing us up there from in the early '50's. My wife and I started bringing our daughter up at 8 weeks (1995) and then our son (1998) in the early 2000's. One of our favorite places to go with the whole family to the basement cafe'. Are they still tacking your coffee bonus cards on the ceiling? The last time we visited was in 2010. The Vietnamese restaurant in that building was also very good and reasonable. Great memories. I'm now 71 (half Norwegian) go lefse and brown goat's milk cheese.
Thanks for showing the Rustic Inn, way better pies than Betty's Pies that gets all the glory. I have been up several times but never been to black beach. I hope to find it on my next visit.
MUST do the Glensheen Mansion! Many different tours available. Can not see it all at once. Huge, glorious, unbelievable... Various tours sell out. Built at the turn of the century by an iron ore barron for almost $900,000 1900's money. Now worth??? Right on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Reserve a room at the Mansion next door built for their daughter, now a world class bed and breakfast. Many unexpectedly excellent places indoors and out to see and do in Duluth.
Well done guys and gals. Wife and I will be planning this soon! Thank you!
I've toured the Glensheen 3 times and I am going to tour again someday.

Love this!

This might be a great video but the music is so loud and annoying when trying to hear what is being said.

I didn’t realize the north shore belonged to you
