My favorite restaurants in Duluth is Uncle Loui's Cafe, Coney Island Deluxe and Pickwick Restaurant & Pub. I'm sure there are better places in Duluth but so far, those are my favorites. I would have added Old Chicago but it's a chain not native to Duluth so I didn't add it to my top 3 choices.
Sorry, but the music in the background is sooooooooo annoying. I'd rather listen to you doing a nice narrative than that mosquito buzz. But I do love Duluth. Graduated from UMD in the mid 70's but haven't been back since, so it was interesting to see what is still there and what is new.
The owners of Glensheen got whacked for insurance money. It's a great murder mystery to this day. The Cohen Bros were going to make a movie about it but it hasn't happened yet.
this ^^ It's sad to see an otherwise good video try to inject some sort of factoid that's utterly false. Maybe _their_ kids call it that, but it is not a common nickname for the bridge.
dude. ....you just said the food was spectacular. You were eating eggs and bacon. EVERY restaurant that is in business for longer than 2 months knows how to make eggs and bacon. It will be hard for me to watch teh next 12 minutes and not think that maybe this is not the best advice. BTW. ....I appreciate you taking the time to make the video. Not trying to hate....just think you need to be more critical and not just say everything is great and amazing.
they do from time to time, not usually in the harbor but it is a problem, as well as large parts of the lake freezing over, there are dedicated icebreakers and plenty of pics online
Meh.. I’ve lived in Duluth my whole life. It’s not that special. Pretty overrated to be honest. Shitty roads, really high taxes, expensive everything, beggars everywhere (thanks to our brilliant Duluth city council for legalizing panhandling), huge heroin epidemic. There’s much much more to do around the twin cities area.
My husband and I hear great things about the town but watching videos about the town seems to me like white dominated town...I’m Muslim and colored...I feel like my husband and I are gonna get the stares! 😬
@@derekgray1633 i heard that as well....I hear there's a good amount of our people there, I cant wait to move....and yes I hear everyone is nice ...coming from ny I will have to seriously adapt lol
Not for the reason you think you will. You'll get stares because this is an extremely socially liberal city, meaning you choosing to wear your mantle of oppression (head scarf) is going to get you all but exiled from the social aspect of living in the city. Honestly holding belief in mythological beings that are obviously not real of any faith will always be a source of redicule in any larger college town, specifically ones that require women to submit to the patriarchy that the current generation is at war with. It's a bit like trying to fit in on one team and wanting to get along, while you are actively playing for the other side and undoing all the work your team just fought hard for.
My favorite food is from Northern waters Smokehaus, Fitgers brew house, Sir Benedict’s and Uncle Loui’s Cafe
Coffee mugs 0:59 are made by Karen. Wonderful artist and person.
rexdink I know who that is my grandma's friends with her

Best thing about being from Duluth? You never get homesick...
Love the cart wheels

The background music was alright and excellent presentation and Video.
‘Local kids call it the singing bridge.’ They do m, on Saturn, and only when it’s windy. What a bulwark
Wow! I'm booking my ticket tomorrow! It's going to be long flight from Wakanda...
You have a great family
That train they were in. I have sat in that same seat
You guys should go to the radison to eat!
Is it reasonable?

Now a year ago!
What, no Betty's Pies? That is the terminus of the scenic north shore day trip from Duluth.
Two Harbors
😂good place but it’s in two harbors
No one calls it the singing bridge
this ^^

The FOOD section starts at 13:55.
Duluth grill is a luxury most people in duluth wish they could afford
@@derekgray1633 I paid 13 dollars for a combo at Burger King the other day.
@@derekgray1633 Yikes, that’s pricey. I live in northern California and I can get quality food with local ingredients for cheaper.
Well I Love Duluth Have Moved In 03 Because No Opportunity ! I Don't Know Why They Refuse to Grow As A City !
I don’t think icebergs appear on the Great Lakes

Wow, glad you can actually tell the truth about the city of Deluth! Thanks bud!
Did she say the #1 thing to do in Duluth was to take the highway out of town?
democrats.
It’s happening almost everywhere it seems. It’s infuriating that beautiful areas are being trashed thanks to shitty policies.

Did you visit or make the move to the town? What was the experience like?

Duluth is a very very diverse city. You should visit and report back. I bet you’ll love it. Ask for any tips I travel there all the time.
