Man you boys have changed since I started watching you, in a lot of ways. I was just watching an older video just before this and damn, it's so cool to see you guys change physically and just who you are and how you work together. Good on you both, shit is impressive.
Ian and Carl ran with the step ladder at basically the same speed. It wasn't long ago that wouldn't be true. I am surprised Carl was so much faster on the pistol section though. He is the better shot overall, but Ian usually seems pretty good with pistols.
This video really needs to have Paul Harrell appear after the round ended, giving his standard disclaimer. Please excuse any background noise as we are on a live range today. :) They were going off in the background while you guys were discussing the performance. :) Its truly a beautiful thing. Thanks for all you guys do for the firearms tradition in general.
*spoiler* Regarding what you said about the score at the end, Ian wasn't actually that far behind on the rifle section of this stage, there were only a couple of seconds in it, it's more the pistol stage that did it.
I think a neat idea would be to put some sand in those barrels, both to make them roll away less, but also add some more resistance to the battering, adding a slightly more physical element to go through before shooting pistol
Hey, InRange, I normally skip your match videos but I just watched all three of these so far and loved them! I wish I could explain better than that, maybe later upon more reflection, but just wanted to thank you guys for the awesome videos! Can't wait for Stage 4!
Well I just told you I skipped the other ones :P But seriously, what piqued my interest on this one was the WWSD project, I've been looking forward to updates and when I saw these videos I was really interested to see how one of your WWSD ARs would perform. I'll give some the older match videos another chance! I did watch Stage 1 of the GAU5 vs SP1 a while ago and to be honest I got bored watching the shooting waiting for Ian and Karl's opinion in that one. That's my feedback, for what it's worth. Good luck in the future, guys!
From watching the split screen it seems Ian's weak spot is just his initial target acquisition. His firing cadence was very similar to karl's but he lost a lot of time with both rifle and hand gun getting ready to take the first shot. Seems like if you just practice getting faster from a low ready and landing that initial shot you'll be neck and neck. Good job guys!
The WWSD series really makes me want to get a good 80% polymer lower. I'm thinking a DIY polymer build might be fun for summer. Thanks for all the info guys!
Shooting tip I learned, might help Ian with his magnified problem- If you look with your head, and then snap-to with your optic, you may have an easier time lining up with the further away targets.
Ian pushed harder on the pistol section, unfortunately targets at 20 yds are not the place to try spray and pray, make up shots take too long unlike on the very close range targets Ian was too deliberate on earlier. It will come together for you Ian.
Still interesting that there isn't a whole lot of seconds between Karl and Ian on the rifle section. I get the feeling that if Ian had had his trusty Ingis then the time would've been much closer.
Here's an idea for you....Now that you've reviewed your performance and weapons choices, consider reviewing other products(scopes, weapons choices, etc) that might solve the problem. You would be able to recap your findings at a location without interruptions and provide theories of why certain products exist. to solve certain problems.
Ian seemed concerned about his time with the rifle, but didn't say anything about the pistol portion. If Ian sees this can he talk about his feelings about the pistol portion (where he lost 15 seconds to Karl).
i dont think you should base your opinion of the x95 on the mud test i binged watched every mud test and the procedures you used to clear malfunctions the places that you wiped mud off and the consistency of the mud is always changing
Ian is just suffering from that debilitating condition known as left handedness. 😂 jk. Keep up the good work guys, these videos are helpful and massively entertaining.
I would rather reload a tavor than an AK, it's completely up to my experience but rock-in magazines seem to slow me down far more than bullpup ergonomics.
6:07 Hm. Weird. Total opposites. It's almost as if the gun were built half backwards or something! (heh-heh) I apologize for that terrible bullpup joke.
Thanks for the heads up, I will try that. I remember having an issue with the ease of use of the actual Full30 player, but that was a long time ago and I should really give it a new look.
Karl-48.67 Ian-70.07 Ian you need more training to beat Karl but you have awesome reviews historical/rare/new/old guns so i thing you probablly dont have time to train but its ok.
Maybe he's confusing off hand which is unsupported standing postion with left hand. Left hand shooting can cause malfunctions if you block the ejection port. I assume user error.
I'm starting to suspect the rifle you built is not that good after all. It needs more testing on the clock but it seems you might want to return to the drawing board at some point. Maybe it's just the optic (try adjustable magnification? I saw your reasoning for not doing that before but disagree with it) but this far the performance has been sub par even for Ian.
He has a point, though. Ian's DMR AR is doing well, but not as well as Karl's Henry rifle. Maybe you should ditch the AR all together and stick to black powder rifles?
"I'm from the internet and I'm here to help!" made the video excellent.
Man you boys have changed since I started watching you, in a lot of ways. I was just watching an older video just before this and damn, it's so cool to see you guys change physically and just who you are and how you work together. Good on you both, shit is impressive.

Cool stage, I like the battering ram idea.
Me too!

Benjamin S Carl ain't no slouch, cuz surprised me

Really enjoying the editing changes, guys!
Agreed.
Ian just lets Carl win. That's what friends are for.
Probably. ~Karl
😥
Lol:)
Sounds like that tavor is having the same effect on Karl as that baretta pistol that he rolled out a while back.
*spoiler*
Regarding what you said about the score at the end, Ian wasn't actually that far behind on the rifle section of this stage, there were only a couple of seconds in it, it's more the pistol stage that did it.
My new battle cry. I need to add that as a bind to TF2.
I like Karl's new battle cry.
I think a neat idea would be to put some sand in those barrels, both to make them roll away less, but also add some more resistance to the battering, adding a slightly more physical element to go through before shooting pistol
Deleted my reply, sorry - I misunderstood your comment. :| ~Karl
InRangeTV thank you for the entertainment you provide! You guys are the best.
So did everyone else on the first read :D Language is a tricky thing.
InRangeTV It's okay Karl, he said "put sand in barrels" and we all had a mini heart attack
Hey, InRange, I normally skip your match videos but I just watched all three of these so far and loved them! I wish I could explain better than that, maybe later upon more reflection, but just wanted to thank you guys for the awesome videos! Can't wait for Stage 4!
Thanks! Why was this series different than the other ones for you? ~Karl
Well I just told you I skipped the other ones :P

I haven't watched number three , but already wanna cry for Ian and my friend , the AR.😥😥😥😥😥😥😥. Ian !? there's no participation trophy , RUN !!!!
Shooting tip I learned, might help Ian with his magnified problem- If you look with your head, and then snap-to with your optic, you may have an easier time lining up with the further away targets.
That was a very fun stage. I didn't do all that well on it (being slightly slower than Ian), but I really enjoyed it.
At 2:15, you get an awful lot of shrapnel on the ground below the target for just a pistol caliber
Ian pushed harder on the pistol section, unfortunately targets at 20 yds are not the place to try spray and pray, make up shots take too long unlike on the very close range targets Ian was too deliberate on earlier. It will come together for you Ian.
YES! i was beginning to have 2 acm video withdrawal. i needed my fix

you might choose a fullsize ar15
you might choose a bullpup rifle
but for sure there is one thing
that you will always pick up
a trusty Beretta 92
Suprised with the performance of the x95.
Interesting learnings going on here! Luv it!
It was very cool stage.
Maybe put a red dot on the 10 oclock of the AR to compensate the magnified optic ?
This door idea was so good :D
You can tell Karl's workout program is working.
Hey hey, Just with the mud test's....that old chestnut. Can you do a STG (with a HMG repro say) one and compare?
Ian seemed concerned about his time with the rifle, but didn't say anything about the pistol portion. If Ian sees this can he talk about his feelings about the pistol portion (where he lost 15 seconds to Karl).
Rumor has it Karl's barrel is still rolling, somewhere.
It left the solar system.
So opinions from Ian and Karl on the Primary Arms prism scopes over ACOG? Do they work and is the ACSS accurate with the BDC?
i dont think you should base your opinion of the x95 on the mud test i binged watched every mud test and the procedures you used to clear malfunctions the places that you wiped mud off and the consistency of the mud is always changing
We're paid by the P08 Luger industry to do that. ~Karl
lol
Maybe you guys will address this in future videos, but wouldn't the Tavor's magazine changes be its biggest hindrance?
Christopher Gunawan eh with practice you can get pretty quick but yea its a little bit awkward if your use to traditional rifles
What Camo patern is Ian wearing? Looks really neat!
Hey Carl. Do you mind if I use that "from the internet" line in one of my future videos. ; )
Props for mentioning Baltimore.
Where is this area that you are shooting located in Arizona?
Is this at the Marana Shooting Club in Marana, AZ?
2g-ACM is run at the Pima Pistol Club and requires registration via Practiscore.
@@InrangeTv I've recently gotten back into shooting after years out of it. I'm not familiar with Practiscore.
Can you guys do a gewehr 43 vs a m1 garand
Is that a TNP patch Karl has on his Left shoulder?
+Jorge Gomez No.
I guess an important factor is that the first 3 stages didn't required a reload. That is the situation where you probably lose time with a bullpup.
why? if you're use it using a tavor it's not any slower than an AR.
+Steel Talon The motion sequence is a bit more unnatural and Karl is more used to shooting ARs than bullpups.
Gumpert 007 not sure why you think that, learn the weapon. if you've never handled a AR-15 or tavor and drill to the weapon in front of you...
karl specifically said he isn't really used to bullpops and he doesn't like them. He's definitely going to be slower reloading the tar than an ar15
6:07 Hm. Weird. Total opposites. It's almost as if the gun were built half backwards or something! (heh-heh)
I apologize for that terrible bullpup joke.
I wish full30 was easier to navigate than UA-cam. I would like to be using f30
You can view our newest content at Inrange.tv via Full30 without having to go to Full30.com as we embed the videos on the homepage. Just an FYI. ~Karl
Thanks for the heads up, I will try that. I remember having an issue with the ease of use of the actual Full30 player, but that was a long time ago and I should really give it a new look.
would UA-cam take issue if a link to the full30 video was in the description. most of my viewing is done on a mobile device
I need to write a clickbait article titled, "Here's how Ian can still win..."
Ian always looks so fast for how slow he's going.
Ian really should drink some Zielwasser :D
Karl-48.67
Ian-70.07
Ian you need more training to beat Karl but you have awesome reviews historical/rare/new/old guns so i thing you probablly dont have time to train but its ok.
I like Karl's shirt, anybody know what it is?
Looks like a Propper TAC.U Combat shirt
I'm from the internet!
I'm here to help!
Oops! Never mind.
I for got my flamethrower.
Sorry!
Oh no...new copy paste...
7:00am again. 😃
So how much shooting will it take for you to admit that a variable power optic is better?
You mean like the red dot I was using? ~Karl
throat mikes while live fire on the range
ah volume button... you do so vex me.
I shot a tavor a few days ago. Can't shoot it off hand. It jams
Use stronger ammo? Clean it up?
Maybe he's confusing off hand which is unsupported standing postion with left hand. Left hand shooting can cause malfunctions if you block the ejection port. I assume user error.
Steel Talon yes shooting left handed. That is a weapon error
Gun Jesus runs funny
karl seems to be much better with a pistol than ian
I'm starting to suspect the rifle you built is not that good after all. It needs more testing on the clock but it seems you might want to return to the drawing board at some point. Maybe it's just the optic (try adjustable magnification? I saw your reasoning for not doing that before but disagree with it) but this far the performance has been sub par even for Ian.
Skill trumps gear. You can't use scores between disparate skill sets and gear to determine such a thing. Rifles don't win, shooters do. ~Karl
He has a point, though. Ian's DMR AR is doing well, but not as well as Karl's Henry rifle. Maybe you should ditch the AR all together and stick to black powder rifles?
They were pretty much even until the pistols came out!
