    Thank you for such an amazing video! We get customers mentioning this all of the time! We love customers like you who take the time to review us! It’s incredible that our company was the first around to use real glass, started with 3 employees and have grown over the past 35 years!! Thanks again for your amazing video!

    I bought and installed these windows in three blinds early last fall before hunting season and they work great. Easy to install , quiet, clear and air tight. I bought the 36 x 10's without the magnets and they were only $37.00 each. I just ordered another 4 for our last blind that we are setting up. Air tight and makes a huge difference.
    Took a beautiful 10pt opening morning and he never heard me open the window.
    Great Product, Good investment and the staff there were easy to work with and very prompt on getting my windows shipped which they came intact wrapped with styro peanuts and none were damaged.

      The problem with "air tight" anything in a blind is what are you using for heat? If you don't have a way for the gasses to escape they just might find you permanently asleep! I have a Mr. Heater and I made sure the top has openings between the vertical sides and the roof that I can see through with about 1/4". It gets roasty toasty warm enough that I can remove my coat and still watch out the windows without a problem. Now if only there were deer walking within 300 yards for me besides these little babies I keep seeing!

    I find that if you put peppermint oil on about a dozen cotton balls and place them in corners on the floor and up about 1/2 way or higher and there will be no spiders, bugs, wasps, mice or anything! Works fantastic. just remove them about a few weeks before hunting season and air out the blind. I haven't had a problem.

    • @theback40
      @theback40  9 місяців тому

      Hey Eugene, yes, they basically just fit flush to any depth wall. The one thing we missed was the clearance to swing the window all the way up when opening, we had to cut back the studs for clearance so they could swing all the way up. The 2x2 studs might already be perfect for that issue and you won't have to make any adjustments. All the best to you.

    Those magnets that hold the window open... did I hear a click noise when the magnets grabbed the window? If it’s dead silent that’s bad. If A guy glued a piece of felt to the magnets would they still be strong enough to hold the window open?

    • @theback40

      Yes, good catch, they do grab and make a click. I just went out there put a piece of duct tape on the magnet and it still held it up in position without the click. Felt would probably be even better.

    Does the inside sweat or fog up when you run heat?

    • @theback40
      @theback40  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Bill, good question. Depends on the heat source and outside temperature. They are NOT double pane insulated windows like in your house, they are single pane, so propane heaters will fog them up. But wood does not fog them up. If you haven't already, check out the "Best way to heat your deer blind" video on this channel for some thoughts to help on this subject. All the best to you!

  • @murrayandru7527
    @murrayandru7527 Місяць тому

    Only thing I'd do is glue a small piece of thin felt on the metal catch above the window.
    When you lift it up it clunks on the magnet , a deer can hear that , but your blind, your show....take care.

    • @theback40
      @theback40  Місяць тому

      Hey Murray, agreed. There is a "snap" when we open the windows. We have plenty of distance and time to open the windows in this particular blind, so don't need to quiet them. But for sure, if you could have them close by the time you need to open the window, a piece of felt or maybe even just masking tape would silence the "snap". All the best to you.

    It's really nice I'm not going to deny that I just wish you would have figured out a way to put a sliding screen camouflage screen or something in there to keep the bugs out and when you're needing air when it's hot other than that nice

    • @theback40
      @theback40  Рік тому +1

      Hey Clay, didn't even think about that one. We are normally hunting up here when it is cold and don't need to open the windows. We're usually trying to stay warm! But a spring turkey hunt or early season bow hunt, you are right, it might be warm and buggy. Maybe glue some magnets on some screen cut to size would work? Good luck this season!

      Hey Adam, it probably wouldn't spook a deer unless they were within 10 yards or so. Someone else noticed that, too, so I tested putting a piece of masking tape over it and it still held the window up and took the "click" out of it pretty well.
