I sound like a broken record every time I break a record.
No one can ever take away the legacy he made
Nobody can ever take away the legacy I'll never cater
The thing about Eminem though is that he is one of those rare artists who have generational fans. I'm 29, my parents know Eminem records, I was introduced through my older siblings and my nieces and nephews were introduced through me and so it goes. He has fans from 12 to 55+ 😂 and that's why he'll always stay at the top. Also, I live in South Africa. This man is a GLOBAL icon.
The craziest thing the criticism about Eminem is that he lived you see if he would have died he would be revered as one of the all-time greats and you know greatest of all time to goats but because he lived he's now considered corny and too old it's crazy to think that he's putting out this good of music and he still don't get to respect because he lived
This is so true, i'm 25 and my siblings introduced me to him and if i was to ask my parents to name 1 rapper (they are not rap fans whatsoever) they wouldn't instantly say Eminem
Your 100% right im also 29 and my parents had me young young so when em came out my dad was like 24 or 25 so he got me into em at a very very young age. There's only one thing to say about em he's the GOAT hands down
Yeah that reminds me of this time my nephew came to visit and at the time he was like 7 years old ....he listened to stuff like lil Nas x when old town road was trending. Well I have posters of artist on my wall from Bob Marley, to Tupac and biggie, Jimi Hendrix, dmx, Eminem ...he looked around my room and was like "oh you like Eminem?" ...I was like damn that's the only one you recognize lmao
Fact, and thank you for it.
He has transcended rap, he’s no longer just a rapper. He’s the greatest wordsmith that ever lived. The greatest poet that ever lived.
In my opinion he’s the best rapper that ever lived but he’s gone beyond that.
I agree. Em is a master of the English language. It's like he's the EMbodiment of the dictionary. Weilds his pen like a samurai weilds his sword.
I truly believe this it’s mind boggling On another level how he can keep getting better at 49 he is a true master of his craft
@@annefranklymydearidontgive8197 I see what u did there😂
Quite a claim. I love Em, but personally I wouldn't put him above most authors in terms of being a wordsmith. It's also hard to give him the nod over people who literally crafted the language as well.
@@annefranklymydearidontgive8197 That's a good one mate!
The thing what most americans underestimate is how huge eminem is across the globe. He's way bigger than other rap artists. EVERYONE listens to eminem. Either you listen to his old stuff, or to his hype stuff, or you listen the new songs for the bars, but everyone listens to eminem for one reason or the other.
Word. I was introduced to English/foreign-language music quite late (I'm from South Asia and my vernaculars are different), and I still heard Eminem's name way before that! I'm not necessarily a fan or regular audience for the guy, but I respect the hell outta him. His music was probably a lot of South Asian's first foray into listening to the rap genre itself, as far as I could gather from my batchmates and colleagues. I particularly like his hypebeast style stuff.
💯 🐐
Whole world listens to Eminem that's why he has so many views. It's not just about USA.
Botswana here🇧🇼🇧🇼
Faccttttt
True
Kazakhstan here 🇰🇿👌
he literally popularized hip hop in the middle east. he's HUGE there.
42, and still listening. It's more than just his music. It's authenticity, and the hero ark he keeps killing over and over again. Just think of us who grew up with Em, and see he's still schooling the shit out of everyone in the game, and how motivating and inspiring that is! People always trying to cancel or delete him for whatever reason, and he just keeps on going, keeps getting better. It's dope af.
Yeah 41 here, and agree completely.
I think people get annoyed by the world wide adulation of Em because his music doesn't represent hip hop. It's mainstream rap. And it's not very good. Em himself is an incredibly talented emcee
I'm 41, and still a hip hop head
41 and I agree totally with exactly what you just said
43 Love Em
I am 16. And started becoming an Eminem Fan. I think im the perfect Representation of how there is still a lot of new fans
from newer Generations coming. Ive been listening to his whole Catalogue and Music Videos over the Past Months now.

Also from Germany, though more than double your age. 😉 But also became and Eminem fan only about 2.5 years ago and still discover new things.
hi guys.
I envy the gems you have to find he has so many bangers and freestyles
@@Zx9rc1 im very young and very new but trust me im not one of those that only listen to The Real Slim Shady and stuff. Im still exploring but I found so many gems
@@zcany Em is great and all and I love his music but there is so many great artists as a hip hop head you should dive even deeper
He has timeless songs. People can hear him whenever, when they are angry: hear some Eminem classics. When they want motivation: hear some Eminem Classics. They need to workout: hear "Till I collapse". He has so many songs, that people all around the world relate with. So he continuously wins.
He's got alot to workout to honestly. TES alone gets me jacked. Almost the entire album.
Exactly 💯
Makes perfect sense....When there are 1000s of reactors like yourself breaking down his music on youtube. Even crazier that Eminem can provide income for those reacting to his music. He is literally top of the food chain.
Am 66 and my kids introduced me to Em, still listening to this day. I reckon his music is relatable in all generations, took me a long time to understand the bars but got great help from Stevie Knight and Knox Hill. Now it seems there's a whole generation behind me that are discovering Em for the first time and they are getting into it big time.Em will stay going forever, passed down from generation to generation, bars are being dissected by younger listeners that like the challenge of breaking down those bars, they ain't lazy, they take up the challenge and enjoy doing it. Em like that fine wine , gets better with age.
Love Knox!! The way he breaks things down is crazy! I loved his Hamilton breakdown! ❤
His music doesn’t need to be bumped in the clubs and the hood to be “relevant”…his anthems are played in sports stadiums all over the world!
In my opinion, Eminem managed to adapt perfectly to the times, just look at how he drastically changed his style of music from the 2000s to today, of course a lot of what keeps him in the top is his old songs, but his new style since the album "recovery", also boosts these numbers, for example in February this year "MTBMB" reached 2.5 billion streams on Spotify, "Kamikaze" released in 2018 reached 4 billion Streams adding UA-cam + Spotify, in 2020 it had 4.1 billion Streams on Spotify, and now with only 6 months in 2022 Em already has 3 Billion Streams on this platform and everything has a very simple explanation: Good music, that's all, the guy makes good music
To me, he writes hard-core poetry. It means something. Not a big hip hop fan but his music hit the universal heart imo.
feel the same way. Em is a genre on his own to me.
So true!! ❤
@@FiryaFYI That's the best explanation I've heard. Eminem truly is his own genre. Shady music!
Eminem’s got a big fan base. Of real fans anyway. And they are loyal. His music has never been just a vibe that eventually you get bored off. It’s a literal catalogue with all types of music for all types of moods.
One of the reasons is that he talked about his own life since the beginning. So people felt closer to him and could relate.
This was good 👍🙏
Exactly. He's not scared to try out different themes (eventho he won't like the result later 😂), with his vivid imagination.
I'm only 16 and Em is definitely my favorite artist and probably always will be, Ill never stop listening to him. I grew up listening to recovery on the radio and that got me into looking into more songs he has and he has changed my life, his songs help me through a lot and I know he'll keep on going and breaking records and being himself.
I’m 26 right now and I’ve been hearing Em’s music probably since 7. But I really got into Em in 2009. That lyricism is just ridiculous.
I'm a 42 year old white female, my two oldest sons listen too (24 and 15). I also noticed that a lot of my friends who listen to only metal, the one rapper they listen to is Em. He stands up for the underdog.
I am too, a metalhead listening to Eminem. Many of my metalhead friends listen to Em too. Can't say that about other rappers. He's crossed over genres
I am 33 Year old Fully tattooed metalhead from Finland, and i and my friends Listen to Eminem a Lot. People Don’t understand that Eminem made rap and Hiphop so massive impact that even the people that say they don’t like rap, start to like it because of How amazing Em is. He is the Goat and not any racist, hater or anyone can take it out from him. EM is legend so give him his roses while he is here 🔥🔥🔥
His fan bas is that large, he captures new fans after every album grabbing new generations as he goes, and they dive through the rabbit hole like everyone else and get into his music. He is that addictive, too that many people captivating 3 generations! He has fans from all ages🐐
... he captivated you Stevie that just how it goes😍
I'm from Greece and I first heard Em when I was 13 years old..I remember clearly the time and what I was doing ..I was on a school trip playing soccer with my teammates, when someone put "Lose Yourself" on a cd player and everybody went crazy as fuck..then I searched and I found his older discography
Now I'm 33 y.o and as I was growing and my English were getting better every day I dove into his lyrics and messages..I suddenly began to love the tracks I used to love as a kid differently..not only by the sound and the rhymes the cadences etc.. till now still learning something new thanks to Em and your reactions as well (helping me catching bars I wouldn't be able to understand by myself 🤣) .. and I'm still waiting like a maniac a new song every f day..still listening older Em songs, and NONE of this recent mumble shit..
I'm listening mostly Biggie and Pac,Nas,Big Sean, Jay and old greek hip hop music(cause the worst autotune arrived here as well)
P.S I saw you came here last week ..hope you had a great family time..wish you all the best 🇬🇷☘️
Em, for me was a beacon of hope, his raps gave me the confidence as a kid. In a way I say his music saved my life I wouldn't be writing music and trying to rap if it wasn't for him and 50. I feel most people my age feel the same, his a fucking genius and it still baffs me that his 49 and still making music thats elite

@상준 You in North Korea?
I’m 40 years old. I went to my first Eminem concert at the Astoria in London in 1999. My kids now listen to Eminem because of me.
Eminem has always had a huge fanbase and now it’s crossing generations.
Also i think reactors like yourself and shaq have brought him to a whole new audience who now appreciate his lyricism and diversity in songs for what for it really is. He might not be for everyone but his talent at this point isn’t debatable and no matter how many people try to derail him or cancel him it actually only wants his real fans to listen more.
I had Em tracks in my MP3 before I even knew English, after I knew English I still had his tracks and I didn't get into rap until I turned like 20. The energy this dude has in his music is unlike others.
Here’s my take on Eminem’s longevity. I’m 47 years old. When I was a teenager in the late 80’s / early 90’s, we had Classic Rock stations that played Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, etc non-stop. Eminem, 2Pac, Big, 50 Cent, Kanye, etc are OUR Led Zeppelins, Pink Floyds, etc… their music will live on FOREVER
I think EM is the rapper to gain the most new fans… his catalogues is so large and broad there is something in there for everyone. Just look at the rate his UA-cam and Spotify subscribers and listeners numbers are growing. He’s just different and stands out. 🐐 things.
ua-cam.com/video/NM1OMTJgWok/v-deo.html
If you think about it, he has PLENTY of songs for every emotion you can think of, from funny to hateful to angry to emotional and so on... he is so versatile, no wonders his art aged so well
I'm 17 from Algeria and Eminem is the only rapper I listen to he's my favorite of all time 🎧🔥
When you mentioned the list of biggest selling artists (like MJ, Elvis, Queen, Madonna, The Beatles, etc...) something that rap fans inside of USA don't think it's that Eminem shares all the similarities that a GLOBAL artist has. Like being controversial, every iconic artist in music that you can think of 9/10 they're gonna be really different to everything else and most times really controversial, cause being controversial keeps making people and media mentioning your name, so subconsciously you become a familiar name & face for people that originally don't know you.
Also Knox Hill mentioned it in a video, but Em's flow works like a drum, so doesn't really matter from which country you're, you can enjoy Em songs rhythmically without knowing what the lyrics mean, even tho there're channels that subtitle Em's music with millions of views, there's a "Without me" subbed in Spanish with +74 Million views. And also Eminem always branded himself as himself and he knows how to translate that in music videos, tours, pretty much anything he does publicly it's somehow on brand with him.
im 35 i listen to EM since SSLP and still to this day i bump his music in my car with spotify. Em is a timeless artist.
The reason for Eminem's numbers and longevity is he's got part of every demographic.. domestic /foreign, old/young, casual listener/someone who likes bars. And he's versatility also helps.
He's got something for everybody. 🐐
Just goes to show who has his shit on repeat. Plus he picks up more fans anytime he drops a single or some video. Like a magnet
Eminem stan here! Im 15, started listening to Em when I was 11 and it was Kamikaze that made me a stan. I personally dont listen to early Eminem much if at all but I know his early catalogue. Its funny, when I was in elementary school, everybody was still tryna do the Rap God verse lmao, and EVERYBODY knew of the Mgk beef and heard Killshot! Killshot was fucking crazy, it got over 38mil views in the first 24 hours! That was the biggest debut for a rap song EVER. The back catalogue is huge help but it doesnt fully carry him, only one song from Kamikaze doesnt have over 100mil streams, a lot of songs on MTBMB have 100mil streams, and Godzilla is in the 900mills, its on its way to a billion and was released only 2 hears ago, its crazy
Stan’s and haters can’t get enough of this dude!… that list is full of falling off rappers ..longevity is what makes a legend DRE SNOOP CUBE EMINEM.. ETC
I really think his legacy goes beyond the music. He's the epitome of an underdog that has made it against all odds...so even though there's a bunch of ppl in the US trying to negate his skill and influence...there's multitudes of fans and stans all across the world pushing him to win...
“I aInT nEvEr hEaRd eM iN sOmEoNeS cAr” yea cause he everywhere else boi 💀😂
It's crazy how much work he has been putting in this rap game throughout his career
Em has music that touch you. not just cool beat.
want motivation? he got it. you are angry? he got a song for you. sad? he got you covered.
going through break up? done that to. struggle with something? he has that too. want something up beat? you can find it as well.
till i collapse, kings never die, beautiful, sing for the moment, love you more, im not afraid, as the world turns, stan, i can go on forever...
But always remember

Eminem is loved because he opened himself up from day 1. His music is unapologetically authentic and vulnerable so his fans have an EMOTIONAL CONNECTION to him. Other rappers have hot party songs but fans don't connect with them on that level. 2pac had the same love as well.
Americans: How is Eminem outshining Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Drake and Polo G?
Everyone else: Who the f*** are those people? Are they important?
On a serious note though, I'm listening to Em, Jay, Nas, Pac, Big, Cole and Kendrick. That's my hip hop list. That should give u a broad estimate of everyone in South Asia
💯💯💯🇫🇮🇫🇮
He's a living legend Steve. And this will never be taken away from him.
The reason is EM is so global. He has a HUGE international following and people sometimes forget all the views and plays don't come only from the US. Outside of the US, EM is viewed as an icon and legend! A LOT of people love him - and then EM fans have children by now and the love and respect is passed on and once you are on the EM train you can't help but fall in love and admiration to his skill and you get hooked in. Look at yourself. Once you started this EM journey - your respect and admiration just keeps growing. I guess he is just a phenomenon!!
Eminem is the most worldly known rapper. He's music is reaching the whole 10 to 55 age spectrum easily. He can't be compared to any other hip hop artist alive. He truly is in his own league, he got many timeless hits, even more classic video clips. He got one of if not the biggest hip hop song in term of pure audience with " lose yourself ". He will be in the top 3 most influencial hip hop artist of all time no doubt.

Thank you to all who have served. 🇺🇸
We are living in the time of the Rap God.
The dedication this man has. And the moves he makes, its amazing.
He was born to be a rapper for life, in the truest form.
He talks about real life stuff that most ppl can relate to. His records about social issues were IMO ahead of there time and are as relevant if not more in this day and age. His music got me through some tough times. He's a genius but also ordinary .
Uhmmm.. There's many rappers that does what he has in their raps. Be it nas, tupac, bone thugs etc
What Eminem has is the IT factor and honestly him being white does help. Ppl from around the world takes interest in him as this one big white man in rap and start exploring. Plus he has a powerful voice of expression too that many others lacks
@@emyf9197 You're preaching to the choir lady . Relax would ya lol 😆 Also fuck what his skin colour is I'm tired listening to that always being brought into it. Regardless of his skin colour he's amazing I'm tired of it always being brought up it's ridiculous and I'm not going back n forth you can reply but I have no interest in YOUR opinion. Byeeeee
One of the mechanisms of how Eminem does it is... Young generation sees reactions on youtube, they understand the bars.. After wards they go listen to the actual song, they like it and put it on repeat...
This is why people hate him. He’s a once in a lifetime artist. Up there with John Lennon and Bob Dylan. For some of us he’s hope and support because his honesty about his life and his humility is unmatched.
It’s just like MJ’s relevance 19 years after he retired… He’s still the most mentioned and shoes still sell way more that anybody else… it’s a true sign of being the Undisputed GOAT of your industry
When you see MJ play or hear Em rap, everything else seems mediocre (respectfully)
I've been listening to Eminem since he came out and I am now 50 years old my kids listen to Eminem my grandkid listens to Eminem it's just a generational mobile machine and Eminem will continue to stay on top because his fan base is so big it's a global phenomenon plus no one can rap like Eminem and since I've been listening to him no one can touch this man like he said since he landed he took over the rap game. Ok, since you asked. I am one of those who listen to Eminem but not into hip-hop culture in general. I am in my 40s, heard Eminem for the first time a few months ago (was into very different type of music in my youth). Not surprisingly, got hooked up after watching 8 mile (accidentally, was killing my time at that moment). A big fan since then, both young Slim Shady and current, mature Em. His mastery of English is second to none, and his passion cannot leave you indifferent. I didn’t experience any real hardship in my life but somehow his songs strike a cord in me.

I'm 38, singaporean Chinese. Listening to Eminem since Eminem show. Been listening and still listening to him. I will time to time go back to his previous albums to re visit.
It's because he is the GOAT. Your favourite rapper doesn't have the impact he has and is having and that is key. He is still having impact. I believe all fans of music listen to him but it's his haters which is why he has these numbers because they all listen to the GOATs music.
Eminem's presence and charisma on stage does remind me of Elvis. They both have something about them that draws you in! The passion for what he does & how he feels in each song ...comes through in his music! It draws you in and once your hooked....thats it! lol. In his songs... the pain he feels ....I feel too...his vulnerability...makes me want to protect him! I'm probably expressing this wrong! lol. It probably sounds stupid to others...but its how his music makes me feel!
It’s cuz Eminem is internationally known and loved. A lot of countries don’t have Spotify or Apple Music they use UA-cam to stream his music. Hell just last year my country was eligible for Spotify without us having to use VPN.
STEVIE! EM is a global ICON, hip hop is dumbed down in the US for the most part. WHere i´m from Em is played in the clubs, radio, same with 2Pac, 50, Nas and so on.

There are unique rappers out there .. Eminem is one of them. Even the young reactors say it ; " ..He's different "
I think most artist get "hot" and then they ride the wave to the shore...Em has never come out of the water. He feels he is never respected so he has stayed perfecting the craft.
The difference of Kobe and Michael Jordan is they NEVER stopped working...they were back in the gym the day after winning the championship
I live in Botswana, and eminem is played in a lot of cars....the means reach is wild asf
I’m 34 years old and I have been listening to Eminem since 6th grade and I still listen to him everyday.
Part of this number is reactions. Eminem is one of the most requested topics and it brings the most views. Fans request Eminem reactions and reactors bring viewers' attention to Em. And it's really dope seeing you going through Em's catalog and realizing how good he actually is. Now I'm seeing the same thing happening over the CartierFamily channel for example. Other rappers are not that interesting for reactions. Em always brings something new on every song.

What does an average Eminem fan look like? I'll give you my personal experience. I attended a concert which was for Eminem's Australia tour (Rapture) in Sydney in 2019. The stadium had around 65,000 people (Melbourne a couple of days later had over 70,000). In the concert, I saw fans from ages 10 to 55 (both male and female). Many, in my row, came from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and China as they said he hardly tours their countries. That's when I realised that the generic Stan description of being a straight white male from middle America is totally overblown. That's why he gets all the streams and sales. Most of his sales come from overseas and not the US.
I’m a 39 year old Puertorrican. I’ve been listening to that man for 20 yrs. At least 2 times a week I listen from 4-5 off his songs and I search new stuff on him at least once a week on youtube. I can explain it. He’s just polarizing.

When I say “poppin,” I mean “fire music with great beats, hooks, and bars. Em has many terrible hooks these days, and his music isn’t as good as it used to be. Yes, he definitely has his moments, and they’re great, but he has a lot of wack songs nowadays. The Elvis track is a great example. Shit hook, shit beat. Verses are good, but same old homophones and typical current Em wordplay and corny punchlines.

Ive been listening to Em for 22 years and am now 35. And most of the time i listen to his music is CD's in my car (ye i got an old car 😀). So not even on streaming services.
9:55 Em listeners ranges from 70years (those who saw him RISE) to 2years (whose parents are raising them kinds listening to Em). They are all over the globe, so it makes sense that the numbers reflects this.
They bump Em everyday, just like me
So even if he doesnt drop an album, folk like me who bump him everyday will always influence the numbers
Keep doing ya thing boss. Enjoy your 4th!!
I’m a 44 year old single mom that listens to him faithfully on UA-cam. He’s the GOAT to me. I feel special cuz I got to be there right out of high school when he hit the world with my name is.. I’ve never stopped listening. He’s just special. I also let my kids listen. My daughter is 22 and listens and not long ago I watch a bunch of videos with my 10 year old son and told him all about him.
When he’s gone, we’re gonna suffer from 💩 music
I'm 31. I grew up with him, started listening to him since I was around 9. I enjoy his new material, but you're right nothing hits harder than his classics and underground songs! I'm in the NFT space and that was great when Snoop and Em rocked their Bored Apes in the music video - keep in mind Guy Oseary is involved (Manager for Madona / U2 etc.. very well connected !!
I swear, Eminem is the only rapper y’all talk about. Makes me question if y’all really listen to anyone else…
Bro u capping ... he listens to all lyricists and they're on patreon... he has set a day which is Mondays for eminem ....
@@nanaowusuoduro3127 Tbh tho, I respect the hell Outta Eminem and put him as one of the best lyricists but I'm not on patreon and as a youtube subscriber, the only thing I see on this channel is Eminem videos and they're not even breakdowns anymore. They're just random things about Eminem.
I would appreciate some other lyricists being broken down tbh.
@@nishant2784 perhaps you do not understand that Eminem drives the UA-cam algorithm. No other rapper can do that. You might want what you want, but views are what rule the UA-cam algorithm.
@Tyler B.
I don’t despise Em, I’m simply saying there are other rappers besides him, and that they should be given time and credit to as well.
@Tyler B.
I enjoy his channel. I’m simply suggesting he expand his content. Is that not okay?
Edit: I get that you’re a Stan-weirdo and all, and that’s cool. But Eminem isn’t the only rapper to exist, and there are rappers who easily compete with Em.
Am still waiting for the Eminem_am back reaction.
But no body listen to EM!!!
Well whats crazy is alot of his old songs are still unmatched till this day like, the way i am, till i collapse, the real slim shady, without me, when im gone, mosh, stan. And i can go on and on. And whenever you hear ems influence in a different artist its usually the fast rapping, ems flows are unmatched, and no other artist can make flows the way he does including, the bars, schemes, metaphors, word play, etc. Yes there are many artists that can spit insane lyrics and have insane cadences in their tool box. But ems tools are highly unmatchable, like in the chloraseptic remix, the first part of his verse, no one else has verses like that. This is a huge reason why hes at the top. He's the goat 🔥🔥🔥
I am 23 years old guy, from Kazakhstan :)
I've been listening eminem since 7th grade. He is goat in post soviet countries and pretty relevant.
"when I die, so does hip hop"... Despicable freestyle - Recovery. 😎
im 49 and i listen to metal most of time but luv EM...hes from my generation and proud whats he's done and he just awesome man...hes like the Jimi Hendrix of our time
I think Em has no limits about fans. I'm a 19 years old and I'm from Turkey. His name was the first foreign artist name i've ever heard. And im proud to say that im a stan. When i was born , the whole world was already in the palm of his hand. When i get to chance to know him , he was already a legend. At this point my existence as a stan doesn't even matter. But this is his legacy. This is why and how he is doing it.
