I have watched dozens of videos trying to understand how to do this. Some came with music. Some with super fast clicking and dragging. None came with such clear instruction. Kudos to you as well as thanks. Invaluable you are.
Incredible guide! Many thanks! I've gone from not having a clue how to use word to designing my very own letterhead, all in an hour. You saved me so much time and money.
Thank you very much Lisa. You explained like a teacher teaching kindergarten. Once again, thank you for sharing your knowledge to us. May God bless you and your family.
hi lisa. i´m taking a course on administration and it´s been a great help to watch your videos. I tihnk I´ ve learnd a lot from them. Thans for being that patient.
You just helped do a project I REALLY didn't want to do. I hate Word a little less because of your very well-paced tutorial. Wish I could've heard the kids playing in the garden - it would've been the best background music. Thanks again!
Nicely done. What happens on page overflow? Do all the images automatically appear on page 2? I found this was not the case. I put the "blue triangles" in as Headers and Footers and that worked on a page overflow situation. But when I printed the document, the "triangles" where not aligned with the page but the margins. Any comments on this? Still, so well done. Thank you.
This is awesome can you please tell me what version you are using? I have Microsoft and Mine looks a lot different and cant seem to find some of the tools you are using. I am just guessing do to a newer version as I just bought this a few months ago. However yours is way easier and better it seems. Thank you again for the tutorial!
Hi, Very nice presentation indeed. But there is one thing i wanted to add is if the text is longer and does not fit in to one document possible to create one which automatically continues as it is to next document? Just that to avoid using same template for page 2. I would also add footer instead of address telnr etc on the page corner, which obviously automatically continues to next page.
Great Vid Lisa, Thank you, 24 minute tutorial took me 2 hours to complete, but hey I did it - I do however have one question. My word document shows a complete page but when I print it off there's a small margin on top and bottom which crops the design off? My version of word is slightly different, and ideas I know it's something to do with the margins but so far haven't got my head round it. Regards Chris
So awesome!👌 With gratitude, I thank you so much for uploading your video, very much appreciated and extremely helpful, as I am in the process of still learning more, God bless you lady 💐
Thanks for the instructions, nice and easy to follow. I wish my "Word 365" behaved the same way as your Word version. After creating my template, when I want to start a new document, Word doesn't seem to give me an option to use my own personal template! (unless I am not seeing it)
Thank you Lisa for getting back to me. Yes I’ve got my logo but I don’t how to convert from ms word to logo read from my websites especially how to change the white background. I’d appreciate if you could prepare a video tutorial on how to save and change of logo background or even better how to create a logo using ms word which May consist of 1, safe the logo in ms word..2, change of the background. Very appreciate your effort. God bless. Edy.
Select the whole design (click on all element whilst holding down the CMD or CTRL key, COPY it (CMD/CTRL + C), then double click at the bottom or top of your page to enter into the HEADERS AND FOOTERS and then PASTE (CMD/CTRL + V) the design onto the page. Come out of HEADERS & FOOTERS by double clicking in the centre of the page (you should have two copied of the design now). Next, delete the original design and you should be left with the one in headers and footers which will be repeated on each page.
Lisa, Thank you for this excellent tutorial. If my goal is to make a multi-page electronic letter with my letterhead on the first page and second and subsequent pages with header-footers to my design, is there a way to integrate those templates so that the full letterhead appears on the first page only and subsequent pages have the “page 2” header-footer template? Otherwise, how might I combine the two templates into one electronic letter?
Word for Mac. Once you have inserted a photo, shape, text box another tab will appear at the top of the ribbons (shape format, picture format) Click on this link and at the far right there will be an icon call FORMAT PANE. Alternatively you can double click on your shape, image or text box and it will appear :)
Thank you so much for this video, it helped me to create a very professional looking template and pdf file later, thanks so much once again.. love from India :)
15:41 I am unable to select the icons and the textbox together. The icons are ok but when I try to select the textbox it will leave the already selected icons and only select the textbox.
Hello, Thank you for sharing this video! But i have a slight problem with detecting and using the hues from my logo. To me it does not appear any icon and a circle to detect the colour. I think it might be likewise if I use a different microsoft word issue. Please share the edition year of the one u use here, please :)
Thanks for guiding how to create a letter head, but when I look at the print preview there are spaces on the sides which moves the design on the page and messes up the whole letter :( How can I prepare a letter head in a word file and print it the way it is? You will be a lifesaver if you can explain that please
I'm not sure why there are spaces on the sides if your design/shapes are at the very edge of the page. Have you checked your margins and your printer setup? Do you have borderless printing?
thanks for the great video, after trying the above and printing, the blue part on top left border and bottom right border cuts off during printing, anyway to fix that, the top and bottom doesnt cut off, only the left and right borders but off, thanks
Trying grouping all the shapes together. If not, it's difficult to say as it may be the way your printer is set up. Borderless printing, margins etc :)
Select all graphic elements, copy (CMD/CTRL + C) go into the headers and footer and paste (CMD/CTRL + V) the graphics into the headers and footers and line it all up. Come back into the main document and delete the original graphics and they will then be displayed on every page.
Thanks. I did the same, but when I click print the preview shows much different look. My header image gets stretched while I already make sure my document size is A4 and the printing size is A4.
It was an awesome video. How to avoid the added objects (logo, phone, website, and address icons) from moving away, is there an option to lock them up? Thanks
Hey Lisa. Your video really helped me but I have a problem, it won't open another page. Everything I typed rested on the text box and did not open on another letter head page. I hope you understand my question. How can I fix that
If you want all of your design to be displayed on more than one page you will have to create everything within the headers and footers. This video will show you how:- ua-cam.com/video/wGPMz5n9tWg/v-deo.html
Did anyone ever tell yu because Im having the same issue? I dont get a colour wheel or the wee icon that allows you to select the colours by going to the picture of the logo.
I have watched dozens of videos trying to understand how to do this. Some came with music. Some with super fast clicking and dragging. None came with such clear instruction. Kudos to you as well as thanks. Invaluable you are.
Great to hear! Thank you.

Sometimes it depends on your printer settings too! Do you have borderless printing? It's a difficult one to diagnose.
Really clear info. Thanks Lisa
Hello young lady, you explain this very easily thank you very much from devon
Thank you :)

You're the best... Good job.. Please could make video on how to save logo made in MS word? I'm kinda desperate ... many thanks and gorgeous voice ..
Hi Edward. Thanks for your comment. Have you already made the logo and need to know how to save it or do you need to know how to make a logo too?

Hi! Great tutorial. How do I add a new page to the same document and have my template copy itself onto this new page?
Select the whole design (click on all element whilst holding down the CMD or CTRL key, COPY it (CMD/CTRL + C), then double click at the bottom or top of your page to enter into the HEADERS AND FOOTERS and then PASTE (CMD/CTRL + V) the design onto the page. What word version do you use?? And how did you get the side toolbar to appear?
Word for Mac. Once you have inserted a photo, shape, text box another tab will appear at the top of the ribbons (shape format, picture format) Click on this link and at the far right there will be an icon call FORMAT PANE. Alternatively you can double click on your shape, image or text box and it will appear :)

That's awesome Thank you.
Question: would people be able to edit the contact information on the bottom? I’m afraid if that is not protected, anyone could mistakenly edit that
You could place it in a protected form.
@@LisaDoe how can I do that?
What a fantastic teacher you are! thank you ..
You're very welcome!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! OMG This was so freaking simple! I'm subbing because of this video!!!
Awesome, thank you :)
15:41 I am unable to select the icons and the textbox together. The icons are ok but when I try to select the textbox it will leave the already selected icons and only select the textbox.
Are you holding down the command key?
@@LisaDoe yes I did. I figured it out. Had to find the sweet spot where the arrow appears. they were all close to each other. Thanks
You're spot on. Thanks for this, way better than others.😄🎉

@@LisaDoe Yes, checked margins and set them all to 0 and yet there are spaces. So stressful

Select all graphic elements, copy (CMD/CTRL + C) go into the headers and footer and paste (CMD/CTRL + V) the graphics into the headers and footers and line it all up. Come back into the main document and delete the original graphics and they will then be displayed on every page.

Thanks great tutorial... you save me money
It was an awesome video. How to avoid the added objects (logo, phone, website, and address icons) from moving away, is there an option to lock them up? Thanks
Thank you so much. It's very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I don't have the option to use the eyedropper tool. Is this a new feature or perhaps a Mac vs PC issue?
Great tutorial! Thank you.
When I printed a preview of the template, I can't see the objects at the top left
That’s my problem as well
Thank you... From malaysia
Thank you too
I dont get the "personal" option at the end... what do I do?
I do have the color match option (the dropper). It Appears that you maybe on a Mac and not a PC aye? thanks
Definitely subscribing
Hey Lisa. Your video really helped me but I have a problem, it won't open another page. Everything I typed rested on the text box and did not open on another letter head page. I hope you understand my question. How can I fix that
If you want all of your design to be displayed on more than one page you will have to create everything within the headers and footers. This video will show you how:-

Thanks lisa

This has been brilliant. Want will happen when I write a two-page letter?
I can’t pick color on my logo, the pick color option isn’t here, I’m using windows
Did anyone ever tell yu because Im having the same issue? I dont get a colour wheel or the wee icon that allows you to select the colours by going to the picture of the logo.
Very helpful. Keep posting!!
Hi, what version of Office is it please?
Thank you so much for this tutorial

Where did you get the symbols the map location symbol, the phone symbol, the contact symbol on your footer? Thank you for your video.
What if i need 2 pages of writing. text boxes dont expand onto another page, what do i do
Copy and paste your text box from page 1 onto page 2 and simply delete the text and replace with new text :)
Thanks for this!!
You're welcome :)
