Is it possible to do this with a regular wall mirror? I’m wanting to try this but I want to do it on a slightly bigger scale to use as wall decor and for my living room. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
No it will not work, It needs to be a double sided mirror so that the light from the tablet passes through the glass, with a normal mirror the light doesnt pass through
Some black 2.0 paint good be perfect. It absorbs like 99% of light so it is non-reflective so that acrylic mirror should appear as reflective as it can be lol
Keep it plugged during the night like any other smartphone, or go to the next level and get a timer or a smart plug and set it up to charge every 6 hours for 2 hours :D
The plug being accessible, I keep in plugged in the wall along with a smart plug and I made a schedule of 5 hours charging during the night. It never runs out of juice!
Fyi: krylon brand paint is made for plastics.use steel wool to scratch the surface so paint can 'bite'. Most other paints are not made for plastic.thanks for the video.
I have an idea of how to make a face for a virtual assistant. Using the app called speakpic. The trouble is everytime I input text the default picture appears instead of the chosen picture. Could anyone help . Speakpic allows you to use still image's and makes them appear life like and talk a sentence you input . I would like to have tasker send a variable and eventually add natural language. I think this project would go well in a magic mirror set up.

Not really, I put it on charge during the night like any other phone, the app doesn't use a lot of battery.

But you can find this mirror for quite cheap if you get a bigger size, hope that helps!
As long as you have the money you can size this up to as large as you want really. I've seen 32" ones too.
Does the capacitive touch work through the mirror?
Unfortunately not, but having a micro usb extension allows you to connect with an otg cable and use a mouse and keyboard

I am doing a similar project, but that is the only thing I cannot solve.

screen turns off after few minutes, is there any other setting that needs to be modified to keep the screen on?
There should be an option In settings to keep the display always on.

You can use an OTG cable and a mouse plugged in

Adam Builds no mean theirs only one outlet and I need one for the powers supply and one for the ogt
Why do you need to do that at the same time? Just change settings and charge after.

You can use a car window tinting wrap and just put it over a normal piece of glass, it shouldn't cost more than 2 dollars

The best way is to paint the back of the acrylic mirror and leave just the tablet cut out not painted. Problem solved!
