I read somewhere that Mike Judge, the creator of Beavis and Butthead, inspiration for Beavis is Anson Funderburgh. Somehow judge played in one of his earlier bands and that is how they know each other.

Sat in a Q&A with him a winter bluesfest and he confirmed that! Mike Judge was his bass player.
