    Total 5 VACCINES are administrated we took 1 component from each of vaccine is totally (1+1+1+1+1=5) 90460×5 And reming we are left with *2 components from Dtap* and *2 components from (MMR) hence that 2+2 =4 is added to the 90461x4 which is making sense

    You would be a great instructor! Thank you! Just finished a medical billing certificate program, sitting down for my exam through AHIMA at the end of the month. Your videos have been extremely helpful.

    The 90460 codes for vaccine w/ counseling code states for the first component of EACH vaccine administered, so it is correct

    Thank you for your explanations, I am currently in my medical coding program and I am reaching my midterms for my CPT class and I have been struggling in my confusion on how to understand CPT especially those med terms! 😮 have a blessed day and I hope you keep making more CPT and ICD-10-CM Videos which are really helpful.😊

    Great videos..I would love a video on how you tab you book....to find things easier..

    • @ShamyraC
      @ShamyraC  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Currently me book is tabbed for OBGYN. I’ll tab procedures that I code repeatedly and diagnosis codes I use on the regular. If I’m going to a particular section multiple times a day then I’ll tab that section, so I can get to it quicker.
      For the CPC exam I would use the tabs that AMA gives you for each section of CPT. For the ICD-10 book I would tab the guidelines section, Alphabetic Index, and each letter of the alphabet in the tabular list. For HCPCS book I think this already comes pre-tabbed.

    For the question with the 23 year old end stance renal disease. Is it possible for the code with be 90960 or 90961, because 90952 is for patients younger than 2 years of age.

    Any tips on neck soreness after coding for a little bit? The next day my neck is always a little bit stiff

    • @ShamyraC
      @ShamyraC  2 роки тому +1

      It could be your chair or the height of your desk that is causing your neck to hurt. Or it could be your posture. It’s hard remembering to get up and stretch when sitting for long periods of time. Try searching for neck stretches/excerises for office job and see if it helps. 😊

    So I’m my coding class I have a problem when it comes to having 3 codes for a scenario. I can normally get 2 but the third one is difficult for me.

    • @ShamyraC
      @ShamyraC  2 роки тому

      Hi Destiny! Are you saying that you come up with 2 codes but somehow you miss another cpt code? If so, Id pay close attention to the documentation and make sure you pull out each service that is being performed. Research or look up the procedure or service(s) that are being performed so you know what all it entails. That way you’ll know if another code is needed. Make sure to pay attention to parenthetical notes and guidelines sometimes you may need an add-on code.

    They coded 60460 4x because each vaccine has a different side effect that has to be counseled on seperately.

    For the test? How do you know which book to use?

    • @ShamyraC
      @ShamyraC  2 роки тому

      When you purchase your exam it will tell you the books recommended for the exam you selected.
      You don’t even have to purchase the exam to find out. You can just look up the exam and find information on the recommended books.

      Yay!!! Watch youtube videos on laparoscopic procedures that way when you’re reading the OP notes you’re famliar with how the procedures are performed.
      - Laparscopic Vaginal hysterectomies (TLH)
      - Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomies (LAVH)
      - Abdominal vs Vaginal Hysterectomies
      - TVT Abrevo for Stress Urinary Incontinence
      - Vaginal Repairs (Anterior and Posterior)
      - Paravaginal Defect Repairs
      - Vaginal Suspensions (Colpopexy)
      Look up these procedures and watch and listen to what they say! Some of the videos might be hard to understand because of language barrier but I watched those type of videos pretty much daily! Good luck! 🤍

    I need to know how many departments are there for medical coding??

    • @ShamyraC
      @ShamyraC  2 роки тому +2

      When you say departments I think you mean specialties.. There are a bunch of different specialities to choose from! I’d go over to AAPC website and find specialty coding exams. There you will find all that are available currently. 🙂
